Abstract

Abstract: New Public Management has reformed the financial management of the public sector by adopting approaches from the private sector in order to achieve organizational efficiency and effectiveness (including local and central government finances) and it was the reason behind the implementation of Accrual-based Government Accounting Standards (SAP). The Governmentof Bondowoso also implements accrual-based SAP policy. This study used a qualitative approach by using Strenghts Weaknessess Opportunities Threats (SWOT) analysis in the early stage to describe the strategy and then completed by in depth interview. The informants were 8 (eight) key persons in the Government of Bondowoso with significant roles in achieving the unqualified opinion in implementing the accrual-based SAP. Results show that commitment from the leaders of local government and institutions, financial statements presentation that in line with the SAP, sufficient internal control system, and the follow-up on the State Audit Agency’s recommendations on the local government financial statements are the major strengths in achieving the unqualified opinion of the accrual-based SAP. The opportunities in Strength-Opportunity (SO) strategy are the issuance of various laws and regulations and technical guidance of accrual-based accounting standards by the central government. Abstract

Abstract: Research on corporate culture has been widely conducted both in Indonesia and overseas. However, research focuses on occupational health and safety (OHS) culture has not gained much attention in Indonesia, especially related to leadership, job satisfaction, motivation, and employee performance. This research aimed to analyze the influence of OHS culture, leadership, and motivation on job satisfaction and employee performance in the “X” oil and gas company in East Kalimantan Province. Primary data were collected from the sample consisted of 290 respondents, i.e, the permanent employees and the contractor’s employee working at Hindi II base. Results showed that OHS culture had a significant influence on job satisfaction, but it had no influence on employee performance. Leadership had a significant influence on job satisfaction and employee performance. Motivation had a significant influence on job satisfaction and employee performance. Abstract

One of the success keys of the grant fund program for the renewable energy project is in the decision making process to find the engineering contractor with the best quality, effectiveness, and efficiency to implement the process of procurement of goods and services. The objective of this research is to design a systematic selection model for the engineering contractor referring to the conditions, situations, and scopes as required by the "Y" institution. Data were processed using Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) and Analityc Network Process (ANP). The decision criteria referred to the PEPRES No. 70/2012, PERMEN No. 08/PRT/M/2011, and the results of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) conducted by the evaluation team. The assesments from the evaluation team were including internal and financial capability, technical capability, organizational capability, commitment to quality assurance, commitment to health and safety, and pricing. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze consumer perceptions towards the location strategy used by Starbucks Corporation in Jakarta, Indonesia. The sample consists of 90 Starbucks consumers in Jakarta. This study uses descriptive analysis based on the results of the questionnaires distribution on respondents. The results show that the location strategy used by Starbucks Corporation in Jakarta has significant effect in increasing the number of customers and the product value which resulting in the increased company profit. Abstract

Abstract: Gakin Bank is a microfinance institution (MFI) aims to reduce the poverty rate in Jember. The limited employment opportunities had forced the poor people to build their own informal business. However, the difficulty in gaining the capital loan and the high level of interest rate offered by formal banks were the major obstacles for the poor to develop their business. Gakin Bank was built responding to such condition. This research aims to analyze performance and capacity building of Gakin Bank. The analytical methods used are descriptive analysis approach and SWOT analysis. The data used are primary data from the interviews and secondary data obtained from various sources. Results show that MFI has an important role as the micro financial institution in lending funds to the poor people and also for the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of job characteristics, organizational culture, and interaction between superiors and subordinates on employees performance and behavior at PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) XII Surabaya. The population in this research was all 300 employees at PTPN XII Surabaya with the sample consisted of 90 respondents. Results showed that job characteristics, organizational culture, and interaction between superiors and subordinates had significant effect on employees performance and behavior. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the ability of Capital, Assets, Management, Earnings, Liquidity (CAMEL) ratio in differentiating and predicting the liquidity problem of the banks. The population of this research was national commercial banks listed on the Directory of Bank Indonesia from 2010 to 2013. The analysis tools used were the mean different test and logistic regression analysis. The results of the different test show that Adversely Classified Assets (ACA), Return on Equity (ROE), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Non-Performing Loan (NPL) wereable to differentiate between the liquid and non-liquid, while Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Fixed Assets against Capital (FAAC), Return on Assets (ROA), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (OEOI), and minimum deposit of rupiah were not the discriminators ofthe bank liquidity problem. The results of logistic regression analysis show that in 2011 the predictors used to predict the liquidity problem of the banks were the ratio of ACA and ROA, while in 2012,the ratios were CAR and ACA ratio and in 2013, it was only the CAR ratio. The pooling data, ACA and ROA, can be used as the predictor of the ability to predict the liquidity problem of banks in the future. Abstract: This paper aims to find out the goverment expendicture against the absorption of labor in Jember Regency. The methodology used is based secondary data from various official sources whereas the sample used was for the period 2004-2013. Data analysis tools applied in this study is a method of \the trend analysis and bivariate Correlation. The results of the analysis of the obtained answers that the absorption of labor in Jember Regency will increase while the correlation between Jember Regency Government spending with the absorption of labor in Jember Regency is very strong and direct. Abstract : This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of leadership style and job stress on employee performance Jember District Health Office as well as the differences in the performance of employees to staff a male or female and the difference in employee performance against employees with civil servant status or Honorary. This study was designed with the explanatory survey method. The number of samples in this study a total of 100 employees in Jember District Health Office. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Leadership Styles analysis showed a significant effect on employee performance Jember District Health Office. Job Stress significant effect on employee performance Jember District Health Office. Leadership Style and Job Stress significant effect on employee performance Jember District Health Office. There are differences in performance of civil servants employees higher than the performance of employees Honorary Jember District Health Office. Abstract: This research aims to know and analyze the effect of work environment, organizational culture to organization commitment increase performance of library employees at UPT Jember University. This research is using kind of explanatory research with kuantitative aapproach by sampel is performance of library employees at UPT Jember University as much forty tree (43) sampel. Primary fact is using kuesioner result obtainable from performance of library employees at UPT Jember University. Analyse tools which use in this research is correlation analyse by software SPSS 18. To analyse the causal relation between the variable and to verify reseach of simultan wilful so, analyse tools which using is assumsiont classic test. The result known that the work environment and organizational culture through organization commitment take effect performance of library employees At UPT Jember University by significant whre direct or indirect to performance of library employees at UPT Jember University.
