Abstract

University students should have ability in media and information literacy. Media and information literacy is skill to access, analyze, evaluate, and communicate information in several forms. Students know and understand information comprehensively to make up critical thingking : to analyze and evaluate the information. This research want to know about how is university student’s media and information literacy.

Abstract

This experimental research aimed at finding out the impact of video recorded feedback on and motivation to the learning achiement in microteaching. The research was conducted at Teachers Education Faculty of Prof. Dr. Hamka in Jakarta. The research samples were selected ny apllying two stage cluster random sampling technique to obtain 60 students from two classes. The results of the research approved the hypotheis that the video taped feedback and motivation had positive impact to the learning achievement in microteaching.

Abstract

Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) has been implemented nationally to meet the national standard of education. This school level based curriculum is to be developed on the basis of local needs and environmmental conditions without negelcting the content and competence standars decided at central level. Referring to the local needs and conditions, the implementation of KTSP curriculum can vary one school to the others. This article discusses how the schools utilize the available learning resources to support the implementation of KTSP curriculum. It is believed that the local learning resources could be integrated to KTSP curriculum as from planning, implementation and evaluation process of the instructions. Having discussed the possibilities of using local resources thorougly, the article offer some practical ideas how to do it.

Abstract

The purpose of this correlation research was to know the contribution of social maturity to the reading comprehension competence of mentally retarded students of the fifth grades students at special school The research population covered the mentally retarded students at special schools in the east, west and south regions of Jakarta, selecting 30 students for the samples.applying stratified sampling technique. The hypothes was tested by product moment person correlation. The finding of the research showed socisl maturity contributed 87% to reading comprehension competence of the mentally retarded students in the fifth grade at special school. Based on the finding, the research provided a set of recommendations.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to describe how student’s attitude toward the profession of special education teacher Next, this study also wantsed to know the student’s attitude based on different characteristics, ie, sex, length of study in special education department, the priority of the student’s choice of studied in State University of Jakarta. The population icovered all students in special education Departement of School of Education, State University of Jakarta. The respondents were chosen randomly with total number of 137 students. Questionnaire were distributed to the students as survey method implemented. The result of study indicated that all responding have positive attitude toward the PLB‘s teacher works. In details, the more senior students in Special Education Department, the more positive their attitude toward PLB‘s teacher’s profession. The students who choose this Department as their first choice in State University of Jakarta tend to have more positive attitude towards the profession of special education teacher. Female students‘ attitude is more positive toward the profession of special education teacheris more positive than male student‘s attitude. Then, nonregular students attitude are more positive toward the profession of special education teacher than regular students attitude. Finally, students who are teaching non-special education subjects are more positive towards the profession of special education teacher

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the improvement of basic competency of Islamic Religion Subject through active learning strategy. This research was held in the second year of Hang Tuah V Elementary School Jakarta, in the second semester, 2007/ 2008 academic year. The design of this research involved 4 steps: (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, and (4) reflecting. The result of this research was that there was an increase between the means of first cycle and of the second one, 67 and 81 respectively. Furthermore, most of active learning aspects observed progressed between the first cycle and the second one, 64 % and 80 % respectively. It can be concluded that application of active learning strategy in Islamic Religion Subject can improve the competencies of students in the second year of Hang Tuah V elementary school in Jakarta.

How ever many novise writers still find difficulties in writing effective abstract. This article attempts to provide some information on writing abstract. Reviewing a number of references, the article focuses the discussion on informative abstract. Some suggestions are provided to assist the writers, particularly those who are not familiar yet with writing abstract.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to fmd out the effect of instructional approach toward the result of narrative writing of fifth grade elementary school student. The research compared two approaches: Process Skill Approach (PSA) and Goal Oriented Approach (GOA) group of students who study. The result of the research are. (1) There is a significant difference between group of students who study with RA by F o = 9.8401>Ft = 4.20. (2) There is a significant difference between the result of narrative writing by group of student who has high interest in reading and study with Goal Oriented Approach (GOA) and the group of student who has high interest in reading and study with Process Skill Approach by Fo 6.3161>F t 0.643. (3) There is a significant difference between the result of writing by group of student who has low interest in reading and study with Process Skill Approach and the result of writing by group of student who has low interest and study with Goal Oriented Approach by F o 12.2084>Ft 0.0643. (4) There is and interaction between the learning approach and reading interest toward writing of fifth grade elementary school student by Fo 84.6164>Ft 4.20.Based on that analysis, we can see that the skill process approach is more effective, entirely and for the student who has low reading interest in reading GOA is more effective.

Abstract

This research is directed to create enviromental friendly moduls that can be used for improving knowledge and moral of elememtary student enviromentals in industrial areas, cities, beach and farming areas. The research was condusted on 150 elementary students of the sixth grade selected with cluster random sampling. The research resulth showed that: 1) The moduls could be em ployed to increase the knowledge of elementary students about enviroments in industrial areas, beach, cities and farming areas. Through the testing of the hypothesis on the student knowledge data using Anacova test, it was obtained the calculated F as big as 1.98 that less than the table F value 2.68. 2) Enviromental friendly moduls can be utilized to increase the moral of elementary student concerning environments industrial areas, beach, cities and forming areas. Though the hypothesis testing uses Anacova to the data of student moral about enviromental, it was obtaind that a the calculated F value as great as 0.31 that means lesses than the table F value of 2. 68.

This action research aims at improving the competence of the students of Educational Technology Program at Faculty of Education, State University of Jakarta, in photography. After improving the instructional model in three cycles, the research found an appropriate model to improve the students’ competence covering cognitive aspect, affective aspect andpsychomotor aspect.
