Sexual violence against the children often occurs as they have not got sex education. Therefore, sex education should be provided to the early-age children and a research is conducted to find out the result. This research aims at knowing the children’s ability to protect themselves from sexual violance. The research conducted at Ar-Rachman Kindergarten, South Jakarta in November 2011 employed quantitative quasi-experiment. The analysis indicates significant difference in the score between pre-test and post-test of the experiment group. Based on the finding, the research concludes that there is a significant difference in self protection ability for the student having achieved sex education program compared to those who have not. The research recommend sex education should be provided for early-aged children to minimize sexual violence.

A number of variable affects the learning achievement but this research is interested in discovering the effect of instructional methods and independent learning towards the learning achievement in social science. The research aims at discovering the mentioned effect in Social Science at SDN Pluit 05 Pagi, Penjaringan Subdistrict, North Jakarta. The research discovered (a) the learning achivement with role playing method is higher compared to expository method, (b) students with high independent learning style has higher learning achievement compared to those having a lower one, (c) learning achievement of the students with high independent learning taught with role playing instruction is higher than those with low independent learning, and (d) learning achievement of the students with low independent learning taught with expository method is lower than those having high independent learning. Based on the findings, the research suggests the teachers to improve their skills in teaching social science and assist the students to learn based on their individual learning styles.

National Examination implemented in primary and secondary education still becomes a contraversial issue causing negative psychological effect as anxiety for the students. Considering the factors raising the anxiety are necessary to be identified, this research is to find out and describe the factors and propose the alternatives to minimize them. Taking a palce at SMA N 19 in Jakarta in the academic year of 2010/ 2011, the research distributed questionair to the students of the 12th grade. The collected data were analysed on the basis of percentage. The factors of students’ anxiety identified in the research are (a) passing grade norms, (b) negative thinking to pass the passing grade, (c) possibility of failure, and (d) consequences of failure. As the factors of the anxiety can negatively affect the students and lower the graduate level, the research suggests the schools to handle the problem through the councillors

The low effectiveness of teachers in teaching makes students feel less enthusiasm in learning and their learning outcomes become low. The purpose of this research is to overcome the problem by utilizing interactive learning CD in a classroom action research. Taking place at SD Negeri 09 Pagi, Pademangan Barat, Jakarta Utara, this research was conducted in the fifth grade with 40 students on the topic of Human Digestive Organs, as from October through December 2011. The selection of interactive learning CD was based on the students’ preference to learn using audiovisual media. Data were collected by using the monitoring instrument sheet activities of teacher and students, test instrument, field notes, and recording of the learning in the form of photographs. After three cycles, the research findings indicated gradual improvement of the students’ learning achievement and passed the mastery learning level. The research implication is the science students’ learning outcomes will improve using Interactive Learning Media CD as it can motivate the students learn actively.

The children of disorder intellectually undemanding should have reading comprehension competence to be able to follow the instructional development optimally. However, many children do not have such competence that they can not understand the reading passages properly. To solve the problem, this research conducted a classroom action research in the fifth grade of SDLB C Dian Kahuripan, Jakarta. Employing Close method in two cycles, the research discovered significant improvement of the students’ reading comprehension competence. The research concludes that Close method with a number of techniques and activities is effective to solve the reading comprehension problems faced by the children of disorder intellectually undemanding

Scouts’ program as extracurricular activities contribute positive values to the students. The scouts’ program should be implemented regularly, orderly, and continuously to attain the objectives. However, in fact number of scouts still do not have enough knowledge of the scout’s etiquette and skills. This research conducted at SDI Al Azhar 13 Rawamangun, Jakarta, from June through November 2011 aims at producing a pocket book for the scouts of penggalang ramu, employed development method of Rowntree. The try out of the product was done by expert review, face-to-face and filed trials. The research produced a a pocket book for scout of penggalang ramu ro be used to improve thescouths’ knowledge and skiils.

Community Reading Centers (CRC) play an important role in developing the community to become a reading and learning society. The Indonesian Government, therefore, encourages the development of CRCs by providing financial assistance or grant to selected CRCs. The problem rised in this research is how the grant influences TBM’s development. This research aims at describing the development of CRCs which had received the grant. The research was done in four districts in Banten Provinces as from June through November 2011 coffering seven CRCs. Applying qualitative paradigm, the research collected data using observation, interview, and study document techniques. The data were analyze qualitatively to draw conclusions and suggestions. The research findings show that the development of CRCs received the grant is not as expected. Based on the findings the research suggest the concerned institutions to intensify monitoring and supervision on the CRCs.

The purpose of this research was to know the correlation between the blended learning or achievement motivation and learning achievement. Taking place in Open Junior Secondary School, Tanjung Priuk, affiliated to State Junior Secondary School, No. 55, Tanjung Priuk, the research was conducted as from May through June 2010. The research used survey method with statistical approach and the research focus are (a) the correlation between blended learning and learning achievement, (b) the correlation between achievement motivation and learning achievement, and (c) the correlation between both of blended learning and achievement motivation and learning achievement simultanously. The research proved (a) the positive correlation between blended learning and learning achievement, (b) the positive correlation between achievement motivation and learning avhievement, and (c) the positive correlation between both of blended learning and achievement motivation and learning achievement simultanously. In addition to the findings, the research also provided some suggestions related to instructional process

The Grade X-7 students’ understanding of writing argumentative paragraph is still low as the students do not listen to the teacher’s explaination attentively, do not care the use of correct spelling, diction, effective sentence, paragraph coherence, and integerated passage. To overcome these problems, the researcher performed classroom action research aiming at imroving the students’ competence in writing argumentative paragraph. The research was conducted in Grade X-7 of State High School, No. 7, in Jakarta as from January through February 2012 employing Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) Model. After the second cycle of the research, the students’ learning achievement indicated the average of 72 with the learning mastery of 75 % showing the significant improvement. It was concluded that TGT Model can be used to improve the students’ learning achievement in argumentative paragraph writing. Besides, the research recommended a set of steps how to use the model.

The objective of this research is to determine the relationships between inductive thinking (X1) and student vocational attitude toward technician’s profession (X2) individually and simultanously and learning achievement (Y) in bench work subject. The research conducted in State Vocational High School in East Jakarta, in the school year of 200/2010 proved the positive relationships between the independent variables (X1 and X2, individually and simultanously) and the independent variable (Y). Based on the reseach findings, this research identified some implications and give a number of suggestions to follow up.
