The research approach used is library research. The data analysis technique in this study is to use Content Analysis which is centered on procedures to produce valid conclusions by identifying and analyzing and drawing conclusions from them. This research found two concepts, namely: first, science is able to elevate human status but can also destroy humans if misused. Secondly, the prominent difference between the scholars of the world and the afterlife is in its purpose. World scholars have knowledge aimed at the pleasure of the world, while scholars of the afterlife are aimed at the benefit of the afterlife.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to (1) identify the impact of PAI learning outcomes on student characteristics, (2) identify the influence of learning motivation on student characteristics, and (3) identify the combined influence of learning motivation and PAI learning outcomes on student characteristics. The sample for this study involves 60 high school students in Yogyakarta. Data was collected using a questionnaire as the instrument. The classical assumptions applied include normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and homogeneity. The hypothesis assumptions used include the t-test, coefficient of determination (adjusted R2), F-test, and multiple linear regression. Based on the research results, (i) PAI learning outcomes did not show a significant difference in students’ honesty characteristics with a value of 0.900; (ii) learning motivation showed a significant difference in students’ honesty characteristics with a value of 0.000; and (iii) PAI learning outcomes and learning motivation showed an influence both exclusively and simultaneously with a value of 0.000. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that students’ learning outcomes and motivation affect the characteristics of students’ failure in PAI classes at high schools in Yogyakarta. This study is expected to facilitate all parties in evaluating PAI learning outcomes and gradually increasing learning motivation, in order to improve students’ performance characteristics and advance research in the future.

Abstract

Teachers' learning management skills and Peer behavior are considered crucial factors influencing student outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Understanding their impacts can guide improvements in educational practices. This study investigates the effects of PAI teachers' learning management skills and peer behavior on students' PAI learning achievement at SMP PGRI 396 Kelapa Dua. The research examines whether these factors significantly influence students' academic performance in Islamic Education. This quantitative study utilizes a descriptive methodology, focusing on a sample of students from a total population. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS. The study assessed teachers' learning management skills and peer behavior, examining their relationship with PAI achievement. Statistical analyses, including correlation tests, were conducted to evaluate significance. The findings reveal a significant relationship between peer behavior and PAI achievement, with a significance value indicating a correlation coefficient that explains a portion of the variance in PAI achievement. In contrast, PAI teachers' learning management skills did not show a significant impact. The results suggest that while peer behavior plays a role in influencing PAI learning outcomes, other factors may contribute more significantly, warranting further investigation into additional variables.
