Abstract

The research investigates the paradigmatic dialectic and the relationship between religion and science in Indonesia. However, because the topic is quite broad, this research focuses on integrating science as a science paradigm at State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah (UIN Syahid). This research is qualitative research with descriptive-explanatory analysis of written sources, which is also library research. This study found that the concept, foundation, and orientation of scientific integration at UIN Syahid showed its uniqueness. On the one hand, UIN Syahid is the pioneer and the first Islamic university in the transformation of IAIN/STAIN to UIN. Still, on the other hand, UIN Syahid is also the only UIN that has not uniformized the implementation and practice of scientific integration at the level of lecturers and students. Therefore, the absence of unification of the implementation and practice of scientific integration is a weakness on the one hand but also a strength and an advantage on the other. However, UIN Syahid has developed the concept of scientific integration at a philosophical level, although it does not express its integration pattern in certain symbols, visualizations, and terminology.

Abstract

This research begins with the idea that the purpose of Islamic education must be in accordance with the purpose of human life. The purpose of life is a very valuable thing that needs to be fought for earnestly. The greatest goal in life is none other than achieving the pleasure of Allah almighty. This research uses a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive method. The results of this study are that in the Qur'an there are many verses that contain the word pleasure (ridhā) with various derivations. Of the many words of pleasure that are united with the word Allah, only three sentences are found and all of them show that the pleasure (ridhā) of Allah almighty is obtained through a real struggle. In addition to the word mardhatillah, it is also found in other forms such as the word radhiya Allah. The pedagogical implication is that in essence the process of Islamic education must be able to lead students to reach the pleasure of Allah (mardhātillāh), not merely educate humans from the intellectual side, only physically proficient, but must make real humans, who are aware of nature holiness, who returns to Allah in a state of purity.

Abstract

This study intends to elucidate on the concept of liberation in the Qur'an through the Prophet Muhammad's educational process. This study employs a library research methodology. The analysis results indicate that the first verse of the Koran revealed was an instruction to read. He was pivotal to the development of science. The Prophet Muhammad was sent to a society that was replete with ignorance. By means of the Qur'an, the Prophet transformed and emancipated primordial humans into a sophisticated civilization. The Prophet Muhammad transformed and emancipated all aspects of human existence, including faith, worship, education, social and community culture. Muhammad's accomplishment was inextricable from a number of challenges and obstacles. The spirit of change and liberation was then transmitted from generation to generation to family and friends until the golden period of Islam in the Middle Ages. During this time, Muslim scientists who successfully acquired knowledge by studying the Koran were born.
