Abstract

This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are used through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research subjects were principals, vice principals, teachers, and school supervisors at Rimau Island 3 Public Middle School. The results of the study show that: (1) the Head of Rimau 3 Public Middle School has the ability to carry out good supervision, including in preparing academic supervision and clinical supervision programs for teachers. This can be seen from the supervision program that has been prepared by setting the goals, objectives, and procedures for implementing supervision and already cooperating with the school supervisor. (2) The Head of Rimau 3 Public Middle School has shown good supervision, especially in implementing an academic supervision and clinical supervision program. This can be seen from the application of the model, approach, and supervision techniques carried out by the principal, but in the application of observation techniques are equipped with observation guidelines and (3) Supervisory ability of the head of Rimau 3 Public Middle School, especially in providing follow-up supervision results is still lacking. This can be done from the follow-up of supervision results by evaluating and providing feedback through individual talks with supervised teachers, but the principal has not yet developed an action plan for the next supervision.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the effect of organizational commitment and work motivation on teacher performance. This research uses quantitative methods with correlational type of research. The population of this study was 44 people, namely teachers of Sungai Rotan 1 High School. The sampling technique in this study is the census (quota) so that the entire population is sampled. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis techniques and multiple linear regression. The results showed that: (1) organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on the performance of Sungai Rotan 1 High School teachers; (2) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers at Sungai Rotan 1 High School; and (3) organizational commitment and work motivation together have a positive and significant effect on the performance of Sungai Rotan 1 High School teachers. The conclusion of this study is that to improve teacher performance, organizational commitment and work motivation are needed.

Abstract

This research aimed at describing the strategy of principal on upgrading the educational quality of Primary School 03 Sungayang. Type of this research was qualitative, case study. Data were collected by using observation, interview and documentation. Abstract

The problem of this research was how much the relation of administration of education facilities with the learning result of Accounting in SMA Islam Teladan Palembang in Academic Year 2015/2016. This study aimed at determining the relationship of educational facilities to Accounting learning outcomes in SMA Islam Teladan Palembang. The sample of research were 72 students, with two variables, the learning tool (independent variable) and Accounting learning result (dependent variable). Data collection techniques used documentation and questionnaire. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive, product moment and t-test. The results of this study obtained the value of rcount = 0.1802 based on interpretation table r value is expressed to have a level of relationship "High". While the value of rtable at the significant score of 5% = 0.235 it means rcount greater than rtable at the significant price of 5% = 0.235 it obtained value rcount larger than rtable (0.1802 ≥ 0,235). and test of t-test hypothesis from calculation to get value 𝑡count equal to = 9,105 when compared with value of ttable equal to 1,944 that mean 𝑡count bigger than ttable = (9,105≥1,994) hence Ho refused and Ha accepted. There is a relationship of educational facilities to student learning outcomes in the subjects of Accounting in SMA Islam Teladan Palembang Year Lesson 2015/2016. There is a relationship of educational facilities to student learning outcomes in the subjects of Accounting in SMA Islam Teladan Palembang Year Lesson 2015/2016.

Abstract

Public’s recognition is one of the method to increase the credibility of a school and by using this term, the school’s publication has become an urgent matter. The purpose of this community service is to give assistance to the public relation of SMK 9 Wagir (Vocational High School 3 Wagir) to elevate the school’s credibility by designing a website for the school to introduce the institution to the public. The method used in elevating the school’s credibility involves: (1) conducting workshop in public relation management, (2) conducting website management workshop, (3) doing website designing assistance, (4) evaluating the whole process. The product as a result expected from this community service is a ready to access website to introduce the institution to the public and journal article related to the matter.

Abstract

This research was aimed at undertanding the implementation of instructional Islamic Education in Primary School Fransiskus Padang Panjang, the non Islamic institution. This research was qualitative by applying interview as instrument. Abstract

This study aimed at exploring the implementation of the nation's character values in relation to the implementation of inclusive education in SD Negeri 8 Talang Kelapa. Currently the moral crisis occured in various countries and also in Indonesia. It need to strengthen character education to overcome this problem. Education in Indonesia also aimed at shaping the human character of Indonesia to be well manifested with the behavior and attitude of living in accordance with the soul of Pancasila. This nation will progress if its education is able to change the character of the nation that is not good to the noble values of Pancasila. Inclusive education as an education that accommodates students with diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs, and learning together in one class. Inclusive education as an implementation of the nation's character values. This research was a qualitative research with case study. This research was conducted in SD Negeri 8 Talang Kelapa Banyuasin. The results showed that inclusion education is able to implement the character values among the prominent ones 1) social care 2) tolerance; 3) independent. Activities in the implementation of character values include learning, habituation, and extra curricular.

Abstract

In this article, I described the implementation of curriculum 2013 and character education in SD Negeri 8 Rambutan, Banyuasin. Since validity of curriculum 2013, this school did the curriculum for first and fourth class, while other class used KTSP. At first appearance of curriculum 2013, this school asked some teachers to follow exercise of curriculum 2013. Then, the teachers were able to implement curriculum 2013 in teaching class. In educational character it implant social values such as religius, national, stand alone, mutual cooperation and integrity. In implementation of curriculum 2013, it also organized school literature program that purposed to form character of children in order to be dilligent and liked reading.

Abstract

The development of information technology nowadays is developing and advancing rapidly. Schools must look for other alternatives in dealing with problems faced by schools. One of the things that can be done by school is to use an information system in its managerial. Information system at SD Negeri 22 Alai using the Students’ Data application. Students’ Data is a data collection system and management of micro educational data online and real time. There are several main types of data managed in the Students’ Data system, including school data, educator data, employee data, and school staff data. Information systems that are operated are very helpful for principals or leaders in taking policies and evaluating policies and other managerial tasks.

Abstract

This research determined the relationship between teacher certification and work motivation to teacher performance. The population taken in this research are teachers who have been certified to the state Junior high School in Kertapati district of Palembang for 94 people and the sample is the entire population. Research conducted following quantitative descriptive research procedures. The methods used in this research are quantitative descriptive giving answers to the formulation of this research problem. Therefore, the main data used in this research form a number. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, observations, documentation and library studies. The results of the study showed (1) the teacher's certification and work motivation positively affect the teacher's performance, (2) The certification of teachers positively impact the teacher's performance, (3) The motivation of work positively influence the teacher's performance.
