Abstract

This research was conducted to reveal the improvement of teachers’ competence who have received professional allowances in realizing professional teachers. The data were obtained through interviews, documentation and observation. Improving the teachers’ competence is expected in order to improve the quality of education. Only then the professional teacher is capable of conducting learning and succeeding in bringing the learner into the world of life according to today’s needs and challenges. Conversely, the unwillingness and inability of teachers to adjust their insight and competence with the demands of the development would be one of the obstacles to the achievement of educational and learning objectives. Keywords: Professional Allowances, Improvement of Teachers’ Competence, Professional Teacher

Abstract

Archives have a role as a source of information in organization or individual life. Archives have specific uses for administrative purposes, law, financial, education, research and verification. Archives are divided into dynamic and static. Dynamic archives are needed directly in the planning, implementation of national life in general or used directly in the administration of the State. While the static archive is an archive that is not used directly for planners, administration, national life in general, or for the administration of day-to-day administration of the State. The archivist is a professional who is responsible for managing important archives. An archivist is a person who is trained professionally, experienced, and responsible in the management of the archives by conducting assessment activities and identifying archives continuously, documenting and preserving the archive. The institutional archive should be able to process information as best as possible and keep archive repository because archives are information that do not have duplication or cannot be reproduced.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview of academic supervision, namely: planning characteristics, implementation characteristics, and characteristics of academic supervision feedback. This research method is qualitative research. Research site at Rimau Island Elementary School in Banyuasin Regency. The technique of collecting data uses observation, interviews, and documentation. Examination of data validity using triangulation techniques. Based on research at SDN Pulau Rimau, the results were: (1) Planning for academic supervision, carried out well by preparing documents, teachers, and instruments. (2) The implementation of academic supervision is carried out democratically and carried out when the teacher conducts learning in the classroom, after which clarification is carried out. (3) Feedback is very important in order to clarify, determine advantages and disadvantages, and provide follow-up in the form of input, guidance, or training.

Abstract

This research aimed at determining how the application of extracurricular coaching in full day school study activities at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara in 2019. The writer used a qualitative approach. Data ware obtained from the principal, teachers, parents and students. Data analysis was conducted based on the results of document reviews, interviews and observations. The results of the research showed that extracurricular coaching in the full day school study activities was done in several ways. For examples: a) during time of self development activities on Friday, b) through routine meetings on Wednesday during recess, c) conducted according to a predetermined schedule, and d) carried out intensively in preparation for competitions. The inhibiting factors in the implementation of extracurricular coaching were lack of time effectiveness, lack of student interes in joining extracurricular activities, and parents who restricted their children from attending extracurricular activities due to the relatively remote distance between school and their homes.

Abstract

This study was purposed at examining the work motivation and leadership style on employee performance. The sample used in this study consisted of 15 respondents from 35 employees. The sampling method used is purposive sampling, the data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, the regression equation obtained was Y = 22.100 + 1.167 X1 + 0.420 X2 + e. The result of the research by using t-test that leadership style and work motivation have a significant positive influence on employee performance. The results simultaneously using F-test showed that all independent variables significantly affect employee performance coefficient determinant (R2) is 0,594 which means 59% employee performance is explained by independent variables, where 41% is explained by other variables that are not followed. Keywords: Work Motivation, Leadership Style, Employee Performance

Abstract

This study aimed at determining what strategies are used by the headmaster who served in rural areas with various challenges faced to improve the quality of education and character of the citizens of the school in accordance with the goals of national education. This research was a qualitative research, where in this paper researchers see the steps and efforts made by the headmaster while facing an event that is happening. Data collection technique in this study was interview to the principal of SD Negeri 17 Air Kumbang. From the results of the research, it can be seen that the strategy done by the headmaster of SD Negeri 17 Air Kumbang to improve the quality of education and character of the students is settle in the location where he served, socialize the surrounding community about the importance of education in school-aged children, improve the qualification of teachers, improving the competence of students and graduates, improving the character of students and teachers through extracurricular activities scouting and completing facilities and infrastructure in schools.

Abstract

The effectiveness of a policy can be determined after an evaluation of the policies conducted. Policy of Full day school endorsed by the Education Minister under the law on Permendikbud number 23 Year 2017 is considered still not been adopted universally in Indonesia, because there are still many things that need to be re-examined on the implementation, where there are still many weaknesses in the educational system full day school. For that Permendikbud is canceled by the issuance of Presidential Decree number 87 Year 2017 on Article 9, where the education system only full day school is optional, and not required to be applied in all schools Indonesian. Referring to the developed countries such as the US, Japan and Finland in the implementation of full day school is also not requiring all schools to implement these systems. In fact, Finland as the country ranks first in the world in the field of education version of MED NF, 2017, declared anti to full day school.

Abstract

This research found out the implementation of management information systems in SMP N 1 Talamau. We used qualitative research methods. The result showed that the existing management information system meets standards, both in terms of students, curriculum, human resources, facilities and quality of users, who are able to manage the activities that exist in schools. Then, the role of parents is also important in implementing management information systems to improve the quality of education in SMP N 1 Talamau, implementing special strategies that utilize information technology-based management information systems, namely information and consultation rooms that function as a center for consultation between schools and parents in providing access to parents to see the development of students' academic values.

Abstract

The aim of this qualitative research was to describe the role of principal in motivating the administration officers, and to understand the problems related to the policy of principal MTs Negeri Koto Baru Solok. The interview and documentation were used as instruments on collecting data. The results showed that the role of principal in motivating administration officers by upgrading personal relationship and understanding personal character. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation and leadership on employee performance in Universitas PGRI Palembang. The research method used was survey with quantitative explanative approach. The population in this research were the administrative staff of Universitas PGRI Palembang which consist of 388 people. The sampling technique used was Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling where sampling method taken from the population is done proportionally by taking into account the strata in the population. The number of samples taken was 10% of the total population of 39 respondents. Statistical analysis used for hypothetical action in this research was descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results of the analysis showed that (1) the better motivation of employee performance of Universitas PGRI Palembang, then the performance of employees will also be increased; (2) The better the leadership in Universitas PGRI Palembang, then the performance of employees will also be increased; and (3) the joint better of motivation and leadership on the performance of Universitas PGRI Palembang, then the performance of Universitas PGRI Palembang staff will also be increased.
