Abstract

Success a management cannot be separated from management principles which formed the basis and the value of the management itself. Principles in management should be resilient, it needs to be considered in accordance with the special conditions and situational change. The general notion of management is an activity to achieve the goals that have been determined (getting things done through the effort of other people). Effective leadership is based on those they lead (conditions and situations). The leadership in Islamic educational institutions will be very effective in accordance with the conditions and situations that arise at the time. There is no effective leadership style but with the situation and the growing conditions. In the management of Islamic educational institutions must have some component of the right to produce a proper and prudent performance include planning, organizing, actuating, dan controlling.

Abstract

This study determined the effect of headmaster management and teacher professionalism on teacher’s performance. This research used quantitative methods with correlational type of research. The population of this study were 309 teachers Tanjung Raja Public Elementary School. The research sample was 76 people. Data collection techniques using documents and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple regression techniques. The results of the study show that (1) school principal management influences the performance of teachers; (2) teacher professionalism does not affect the performance of teachers; (3) school management and teacher professionalism do not affect the performance of teachers.

Abstract

This study aimed at describing the implementation of Pancasila as the values which supported the improvement and development of national insight on PPKn subject in SMP Negeri 7 of Palembang. This research was a descriptive research using qualitative approach. It was conducted in SMP Negeri 7 Palembang involving the teachers and the students as the object of the research. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data was measured through triangulation technique. The results showed that students in SMP Negeri 7 began to show the attitude of nationalism, such as: respect for the dignity of human beings as the creation of the Almighty God by reading the holy verses of the Qur'an and Dhuha prayer at zero hour (06:40) ; helped a needy friend, dared to respond to what the teacher had taught. From this study, it is clear that Pancasila is really the foundation and the principal of life of the Indonesian nation. Through Pancasila and PPKn subject, the education in Indonesia is hoped to be able to create the generation whose attitudes and actions really reflect the identity of the Indonesian nation which is based on the values of Pancasila. It is also taught abou how to defend the country. If one region in Indonesia is threatened then the threat applies to all Indonesian citizens.

Abstract

This research examined the influence of implementation the principles of teaching to students’ learning outcome in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang. The method used was quantitative correlation. The instruments were questionnaires which distributed to 63 samples and documentation to obtain the data score of MID Semester in academic year 2017-2018. Data analysis used product moment analysis and ttest. Based on the researcher's analysis, the score of rcount obtained from the calculation was greater than the score of rtable (0,455> 0,248), while the calculation of ttest,tcount score obtained was greater than ttable (3.992> 1.670), it can be concluded that the implementation the principles of teaching gave a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding out the teacher’s career development of elementary school in Padang. This research was a descriptive study. The population were all teachers of elementary school in Padang North which consist of 238 people. The sample in this research was 78 people with a Slovin formula. The instrument of this research was questionnaire using Likert scale model which has proven validity and reliability. The results of this research showed that the average score of the teacher's career development of elementary school in Padang North was enough category.

Abstract

The target of educational supervision can determine the success of an educational institution, among others, students, teachers, curriculum, infrastructure, management, environment and the general situation of the school. The implementation of academic supervision by principals in several schools has not been successful in improving teacher performance. However, at SLB YPPLB Padang, academic supervision has been carried out by the school principal and is able to improve teacher performance. This was caused by several factors including: high school principal professionalism, adequate academic competency of school principals, teachers who were on average ready to be supervised especially teachers in low grades (Class I - IV), principals were able to create good relationship patterns with all components of the school, the principal is able to overcome obstacles in the implementation of academic supervision, and adequate and adequate school infrastructure for teaching and learning activities (KBM). SLB YPPLB Padang has arranged academic supervision program planning, carried out, and followed up on the results of supervision in accordance with what should be.

Abstract

In realizing early childhood that can develop the potential of early childhood required the existence of planning, organizing, implementation, and controlling. This paper was library research. The result obtained indicate that PAUD learning activities consist of Teaching and Learning Activities, Reviewing the Education Calendar, and Learning Schedule Arrangements. Guidelines for learning organization are concerned on defining developmental stages, capacity indicators, defining the concept of knowledge introduced, setting themes, developing learning activities, preparing tools and materials. Learning planning strategy should pay attention to SKH (Daily Activities Unit) and SKM (Weekly Activities Unit). The curriculum should be structured by considering the differences which is appeared in society, then learners can recognize the diversity of social life. The setting of learning class is organized according to the school’s vision and mission. The teacher’s teaching activities start from welcoming the students in front of the school gate, carry out the learning, take the students to the front of the gate until the child is picked up by their respective parents. Early childhood learning activity is in the form of learning while dancing or moving; Drawing/coloring while learning; and memorize the word while clapping. Keywords: Learning Organizarion; PAUD; The Potential of Early Childhood

Abstract

Technical assistance is provided to teachers as an ongoing capacity building effort. The assistance is in the form of academic supervision by principals and school supervisors. The school supervisor also does managerial supervision to the principal. This research is a qualitative research with case study. The research was conducted at SDN 8 Talang kelapa. The result of the research was the supervision of principal and school supervisor has made better performance of teacher. It was seen from the good preparation of learning equipment. While the implementation of learning has not been completely good because it still uses the old methods such as lecturing and assignments. There were still 15% of teachers who nervous when it will be supervised, this caused by several factors 1) teachers who are almost retired, an average age of 55 years and above; 2) teachers who lack the computer. The difference between principal supervision and supervision of school supervisors lies in subjects supervised, implementation schedule, and follow-up.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of managerial competence and leadership style on the innovativeness of administrator officials in Jambi Province both partially and simultaneously. Using quantitative methods, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The conclusions that can be drawn from this study are: (1) there is an influence between managerial competencies on the innovativeness of administrator officials, with managerial competency coefficients (X1) on innovativeness (Y) or ρ1 of 0.273 with t count 3.960 and Sig 0,000 t table 1, 67, so t count> t table (3.960> 1.67), meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted; (2). There is the influence of leadership style on innovativeness, with the results of the leadership style coefficient (X2) on innovativeness (Y) or ρy2 of 0.650 with t count of 9,442 and Sig 0,000 t table 1.66, so t count> t table (9,442> 1,66) , means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted; (3) There is a positive influence jointly managerial competency variable (X1) and leadership style (X2) on innovation (Y), by comparing the probability value (sig) of the calculation results with a significant level <0.05. Regression Test results obtained Fcount 127.201> Ftable 3.94 with probability values (sig) 0,000b <0.05 means managerial competence (X1) and leadership style (X2) together have a positive effect on innovation (Y) with significant results.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the significant effect of principals' managerial competence and academic supervision on teacher performance. This study aims to determine the effect of principals 'managerial competence on teacher performance, the effect of academic supervision on teacher performance and the influence of principals' managerial competence and academic supervision together on teacher performance. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Martapura. In this study using quantitative descriptive method. The research method used is the test method of correlation, partial and simultaneous using the SPSS 16.0 program. The results of this study indicate, 1) there is a significant influence of managerial competence of principals on teacher performance; 2) there is a significant influence of academic supervision on teacher performance; 3) there is a significant influence on the principal's managerial competence and academic supervision on teacher performance. The conclusion is that there is a significant influence on the principal's managerial competence and academic supervision on the performance of teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Martapura.
