Abstract

This research is descriptive-qualitative research, with the aim to provide an explanation of the challenges of teachers in conducting learning in the era of globalization or coolly called the contemporary era. One of them is in the use of technology to support classroom learning. The teacher also faces various other problems in various fields. The technique of collecting data is document observation. The conclusion of the study is that contemporary teachers face various challenges in the socio-cultural, political and technological fields. All of these challenges, demand the teacher, as the spearhead of learning to develop further by trying to improve their abilities.

Abstract

Tthis research to enhance student?s learning outcomes in Chemistry subject of XI MIA 3 of SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Raja through the application of active learning strategies with sorting cards. This research was conducted at SMAN 2 Tanjung Raja with the sample of this research was XI MIA 3 totaling 28 students consisting of 12 male and 16 female. This research was conducted in three cycles that consist of two meetings on each cycle. The data collection was done through the test at the final stage on each cycle and observation along the learning process. The students average score before treatment (T0) was 60.18 with the percentage range was 28.57%. Based on the results of this research, the student average score in the first cycle (T1) was 74.73 with the percentage range of 46.43%. Students became interested and motivated in the learning process, but have not yet reached complete learn, because there was still weaknesses as students who are not active in seeking friends that one category and students who are not active in making presentations. In the second cycle (T2), the student average score was 77.71 with the percentage range was 69.23%. The students scoring at the second cycle was higher than the first cycle, because on the second cycle which students were required to read first, understand the material and do the exercises. But has not reached indicators of mastery learning, there was students who are not active in making the presentation material and exercises. In the third cycle (T3), the student average score was 85.48 with the percentage range was of 85.19%. The students scoring in the third cycle was higher than the score of the second cycle, because in the third cycle which students record and understand the results of the exercises were done, then the third cycle indicator value has reached mastery learning. In conclusion, result of this research showed that the application of active learning strategies with sorting cards has improved students learning outcome in chemistry.

Abstract

Certification is one of the breakthroughs to improve teacher professionalism. This means that if the teacher's competence is good, then the performance will be good too. Certification should not be used as an arena for economic improvement, but the event to improve professional competence in teaching. So that certified teachers are professional teachers in educating students. The problem of this study is the impact of PAI SMA teacher certification on professionalism competencies (study of PK Online values). Therefore this study aims to determine the impact of certification on the professionalism of high school teachers in Palembang, which includes Professionalism 1 (material deepening), professionalism (scientific publications), and professionalism 3 (innovative work). This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were certified teachers in the city of Palembang and the data used through data documentation. From this study it can be concluded that the implementation of certification followed by certified teachers in the city of Palembang in the Province of South Sumatra under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion. Teachers who have been certified both civil servants and non-civil servants who have received the Ministry of Religion and Ministry of Education in Palembang are 624 people through the PLPG pathway. Teacher's performance before certification cannot be measured. After the PAI teacher competency mapping activities, the competency of PAI and Budi Pekerti teachers was seen in Palembang City. The indicators of teacher professionalism now and in the future are able to make innovations that are realized in the form of scientific publications, material deepening, and innovative work. Existing policies and regulations have set these standards and require every teacher at any level / level to implement them.

Abstract

The demands and challenges of educators in technology in the world of education in the 21st era are now the use of technology in the world of education where educators are required to "literate" information and technological progress. With this technology educators are required to be able to use technology optimally in the learning process. With the rapid technological advancements like now where educators feel "being challenged" to be able to master the process of transforming technology use in the learning process, educators must be willing to learn about the use of technology where learning in the 21st era now applies hybrid learning systems. Besides having teaching skills in delivering face-to-face learning material, educators also have the skills and knowledge to develop digitalization-based learning resources or the internet or computers, educators must also be able to innovate learning methods or be able to apply the two learning methods in that learning. The combination of learning can also be applied to e-learning (online) integration. Educators must be able to meet the demands of knowledge with high competitiveness in the use of technology so that students are able to compete and exist in their time.

Abstract

Writing this article aims to determine the role of teachers in providing additional lessons (tutoring) for students outside school hours as a manifestation of the implementation of community service. The teacher is seen as a person who is responsible for the success or failure of learning activities towards changes in behavior of each individual, both in terms of providing motivation, fostering moral values and also as a controller for each student he teaches. According to parents of students, teachers are deemed necessary to provide additional lessons informally outside of school hours to students, given the limited time at school often results in students not understanding each subject matter they receive. Therefore the existence of teachers and the willingness of teachers to take the time to provide additional lessons is very helpful for students to better understand and prepare students in the learning process. The role of the teacher in the community is not only at the time of teaching hours in school, but in all aspects of the life of the teacher will be a role model and a real example for students and has a positive impact on the environment where he lives

Abstract

Nowadays, the development of technology is very fast. As the result of the science achievement, it is very beneficial and helpful for the human beings in doing their daily activities. Technology is also used in education. It is called as the globalization era which the conventional teaching and learning activities transform to the digital form by applying the Information and communication technology. Not only the students might access all kind the information during inside/outside learning activity, but the teachers also might use it in their classes to improve their teaching activity lively. It is common sense to see that there are many kinds of gadget can be used such as: smartphone (handphone), laptop, in focus, (personal) computer connected by digital online media/ internet in most schools. Being able to apply digital media in teaching and learning activity makes teachers can fulfill one of the requirments as the professional teachers.

Abstract

The technology development has been affecting all sectors in life, especially education. Most of all the countries in this world are empowering the use of high-technology tools in education, including Indonesia. There are sorts of policies made by the government to support the digitalization of education. Those are conducted to make Indonesia can compete to other countries in theĀ  Industry 4.0 Revolution era. While the goverment is trying to maxime the use of technology in education, we are faced by one big challege: the readiness of teacher to use the technology as a catalyst for the suceed of teaching and learning process. However, it is not an easy thing to do. There is a generation gap among today?s teachers as ?digital immigrants? and students as ?digital natives?. This gap affects to their preception and process of adaptation to the technology. When the students can access all of the information they need to know without teacher, and teachers are having lack of digital literacy skills, those will cause sort of new problems in education, especially the obstruction of digitalization of education. So, as eduators, the today?s teacher should understand that their students have to master the technology, so do they.

Abstract

The low quality of education in Indonesia requires efforts to improve teacher performance as one of the factors that influence teaching efficiency. The importance of the role of teachers in learning, efforts are needed to improve teacher performance through a provision of guidance and also encouragement from the principal. Guidance for principals on teachers regarding learning activities is known as academic supervision. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of academic supervision on teacher performance. This research is an ex post facto study. Data processing begins with testing the validity and reliability of research instruments using the Cronbach's Alpha test. Furthermore, the analysis prerequisite test included normality tests and linearity tests. In order for teacher performance to increase, academic supervision must be carried out optimally. Recommendations based on the results of the study include the implementation of academic supervision, principals must pay more attention to aspects of supervision, while in terms of teacher teaching performance, teachers must further improve their performance, especially in aspects of learning evaluation and follow-up of student assessment result.

Abstract

The issues examined are: 1) How development of entrepreneurialbusiness unit in SMAN 1 Muara Padang? 2) How entrepreneurialproduction units in SMAN 1 Muara Padang?The research subjects are headmaster, chairman of the committee andteachers. Using ethnographic research approach. Method of data collection using indepth interviews, observation and documentation. Technique of data analysis using triangular. Results of the study are: 1) the development of entrepreneurial business unit in SMAN 1 Muara Padang is still limited to the school cooperative effort is still limited to fulfilling the needs of students such as stationery and books, haven't touched the needs of all the citizens of the school; 2) Development of entrepreneurial production units in SMAN 1 Muara Padang is still limited to the activities of the tailoring school uniform and still involves a seamstress from outside power, has not been fully resolved by the school's own citizens. Whereas the development of production units in the form of maximize the potential of citizen schools in serving the tailoring school uniform and other service uniforms, as well as utilizing landfill covering an area of 4,000 m2 belonging to the school utilized into three parts, covering an area of 2,000 m2 can be used for crops of fruit, such as mango 10750 m2 for plant vegetable soup, and a 1,000 m2 for plant chemist shop alive.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the role of the principal?s entrepreneurship competency in the SMAN 1 Makarti Jaya, in 2018/2019 viewed from: 1) context, 2) input, 3) process, and 4) product of the role of the principal?s entrepreneurship competency. The data were collected through interviews, and analyzed descriptively. The role of the principal?s entrepreneurship competency in improving the quality of the education can be seen through the CIPP models of the research. Teh context is to determine the relevance of the program to the needs of the school policy. The input is to identify the school readiness. The process is for determining the school activities. The product is to determine the quality of the school in terms of the number of graduates. The results are as follows 1. The context is good, because of the relevance of the program according to the needs of the school. 2. The input is good, in the form of school readiness including: infrastructure, teachers, students, and principals to implement the program with clear targets. 3. The program implementation process is good, because the participation of teachers and students, quality of teaching, extracurricular increased, and the prin-cipals are able to manage all school activities. 4. The product is good, in the form of: (a) academic achievement in the National Examination achievement, (b) non academic achievement, and (c) students? winning various competitions.There fore the role of the principal?s entrepreneurship compe-tency is said to be good and successful.
