Abstract

This study aimed at producing appropriate Computer Assisted Mathematics Based Project (valid, practical, and effective) teaching materials to improve students' reasoning and mathematical communication skills. This research is a development research, which develops teaching materials using 4-D models. The instruments of data collection used are validation of teaching materials, questionnaires, and tests of reasoning ability and mathematical communication. Based on the results of data analysis up to stage 3 on R & D research revealed that the compiled teaching materials have met the eligibility requirements. Feasibility level of teaching materials equal to 85.58% with high category. The result of the test of teaching material is 88,4. This means that the teaching materials have excellent value with a high level of practicability. The effectiveness test shows that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test values. In relation to the assessment of the conformity of teaching materials content with the project-based learning stage, 83.3% of respondents agreed that the material in textbooks put forward the project and the evaluation used could represent the problem solving in the real world. All respondents agree that by learning through developed learning materials, learners are encouraged to design their own products to be done. All respondents agree that from the project assigned, learners are encouraged to develop their competence.

Abstract

The objective of this research is the implemenation of education based on character and technology which consist of planning, leading and oversighting coducting at SMAN 1 Tanjung Raja. This research designed to use qualitative approach, as well as case study method used as it’s methodelogy. Explanatory case study was used in this research with paticipant observation’ approach, a kind of case study where the data collected through paticipant observation, added with formal and informal interview as well as documents review. The conclusion of this research are (1) short, middle and long term plan conducted by stakeholders through meeting which is formed as shool’s vision and mission, (2) leading conducting through role model (3) oversighting cover both academic and managerial  activities conducted through “ SIMAK “ and counselling teacher.

Abstract

This study produced a simulator for education and training in Foam Tender Operation and Defensive Driving and to find out whether learning outcomes using simulators are better than students who do not use simulators. The study uses the Research and Development (R & D) method. The research was conducted at the Palembang Aviation Training and Training Center on students in Foam Tender Operation and Defensive Driving, Aviation Accident Aid and Fire Fighting (PKP-PK). The trial design used was quasi-experimental post-test only control group design. The findings of the study, namely the simulator learning media categorized as very feasible to use in learning with a percentage value of 81.67%. Student responses after using simulators are categorized very well with a percentage of 85%. Students who are taught using media or experimental classes have better learning outcomes by obtaining greater scores than students who do not use simulators. From the results above, it can be said that the development of simulator learning media is feasible to use and the response of students using simulator learning media is very good.

Abstract

This paper is based on the results of class action research. The study aims to improve the ability to read scanning through a cooperative learning type pair check model on class VIII MTs. Masularul Ulum Pemulutan, Ogan Ilir. The action hypothesis in this study is "Cooperative type paired learning model can improve reading learning scanning of class VIII students of MTs. Masdarul Ulum Ogan Ilir ". Data collection is done by observation and tests. This research was conducted in two cycles which each cycle through four stages. Cycle data is collected through observation sheets and assessment sheets. The data obtained were then analyzed to find out whether there was an increase in learning outcomes achieved by students. After going beyond the first cycle, in the second cycle the teaching and learning process showed satisfactory results compared to the previous cycle. The results of reading scanning skills in cycle II have increased from the first cycle and have reached the expected average value. From the results of the reading scanning scanning cycle II, MTs students. Masdarul Ulum almost achieved learning completeness up to 84.38% and the average student learning outcomes reached 74.4.

Abstract

The background of this research is carried out because of the unusual phenomenon that researchers see. That is the spread of household garbage that is usually seen around the house, on the roadside or in the river, but this is the spread of household waste along the middle of the road or in the middle of the street. The purpose of this study is to find out why there is a phenomenon of distribution of garbage in the middle of the road section District Kertapati Kemang Agung and Kemas Rindo. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. The result of this research is that the garbage provided is too little and the location is far apart and the other, the type of garbage found is the type of household garbage, which disposes the garbage at the location is the community, the community is awkward with the waste, the emergence of environmental pollution like smell the sting and the unhealthy environment, and the environment is less comfortable, and the conclusion of this research is the phenomenon of this garbage occurred due to lack of pasilitas-pasilitas cleanliness, place of garbage collecting and the opportunity to dispose of garbage in less appropriate place in District Kertapati Kemang Agung and Kemas Rindo. Keywords—Phenomena, garbage, environment

Abstract

Abstract— This research is motivated by the high level of university competition, where more than 300 private tertiary institutions in Kopertis III area compete to create sustainable competitive advantage. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the role of education quality, education costs, location and brand image in influencing students' interest in choosing tertiary institutions. The method used in this research is multiple linear regression method, by testing the F Test and t Test. Furthermore, data processing is carried out using the SPSS program. The results show that there is a significant influence between the quality of education, the cost of education and brand image on the interests of students choosing XYZ colleges, while location is found to have no effect.  Keywords— Education Quality, Education Costs, Location, Brand Image, Students’ Interest in Entering University Abstrak— Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh tingginya tingkat kompetisi perguruan tinggi, dimana lebih dari 300 perguruan tinggi swasta dalam wilayah kopertis III bersaing untuk menciptakan sustainable competitive advantage. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peran kualitas pendidikan, biaya pendidikan, lokasi dan citra merek dalam mempengaruhi minat siswa memilih perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode regresi linier berganda, dengan melakukan pengujian Uji F dan Uji t. Selanjutnya, pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara kualitas pendidikan, biaya pendidikan dan citra merek terhadap minat siswa memilih perguruan tinggi XYZ, sementara lokasi ditemukan tidak berpengaruh. Kata Kunci— Kualitas Pendidikan, Biaya Pendidikan, Lokasi, Citra Merek, Minat Masuk Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract

This research is a descriptive analysis research, that aims to describe the difficulties faced by students while studying discrete mathematics and the factors that cause difficulties themselves. It’s needs to be studied in depth so that discrete mathematics learning for the new semester, the difficulties experienced by students can be minimized by the new teaching method by paying attention to class conditions during learning. The subjects of this study were informatics management students in 2nd semester, AMIK Bina Sriwijaya Palembang which numbered 28 people. Data on the difficulties of students are collected by test, documentation, and observation methods. Data that has been collected is then analyzed to find out the discrete mathematical learning difficulties and their causes. Based on data obtained from student grades during discrete mathematics learning, the average score is only around 45.66. The value category is in a low range, which is less.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a mathematical problem with the PISA model for students using a bowling context that is valid, practical and has potential effects. The research method that will be used is design research with the type of development studies . Data analysis is a qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this development research are to produce mathematical questions based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) for VII grade students of junior high school. This research consists of two stages, namely preliminary or preparation and prototiping stage (formative evaluation) which includes self evaluation, expert reviews and one-to-one , small group and field tests . Potential effects of questions can be known from the results of questionnaires and interviews after the field test . The results of the questionnaire and interviews were analyzed whether students considered the question to have a potential effect to improve students' mathematical abilities. In addition, it is also able to attract interest and motivate students so that they are challenged to solve the problems. These questions also provide a stimulus for students to think critically using their own reasoning in their resolution.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation process inquiry and to understand improving  creativity of children 4-5 years old  play cooperatif. The study was conducted on group A Kindergarten with of seventen children.  This study used action research methods by Kemmis and Taggart which consist of 4 stages (plan, action, observation and reflection). This study consisted of two cycles, each cycles consisting of 8 sessions. Data collecting techniques used observation, field notes and documentation. Data analysis using quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data analysis with descriptive statistics that compare the result obtained from the first cycle and the second cycle. Analysis of qualitative data by analizing data from the observation, fields notes and documentation during the study to the steps of data reduction, data display and data verification. The result of this study showed that there was the improving creativity through play cooperatif with score in pre cycle 24,6 had improvement to 43,9 and become 67,8 in cycle II and excellent growing category

Abstract

Abstract— Vocational high school is a formal institution in the formation of human resources who have the ability in their fields. To achieve success the principals’ must havethe competencies applied. Entrepreneurship competency is one of the principal’ competencies that must be possessed by the principal. The research objective is to find out strategies to increase community participation in the field of vocational education through the principals’ entrepreneurial competence.  The research method used in the research was a qualitative approach using phenomenalogy. From research result,  the principals’ perception of the entrepreneurship with the ability of the principals’ in reading and seeing developments in the surrounding vocational education environment. The forms of principals’ entrepreneurial competencies are the innovation and creativity competencies, competence has the nature of hard work, unyielding competence, entrepreneurial instint competence, the principals’ efforts to increase community participation in vocational education through approaches with all school members and the community, involve parentsin coaching students in the academic and non academic fields, transparency and accountability in the use of funds,  supporting factors for increasing community participation in education are the common perception of principals’and the community of the importance of school programs related to the student coaching while the inhibiting factor, the public does not fully understand the responsibilities of education. Keywords— Strategy, Community Participation, Entrepreneurship Competence. Abstrak— Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan adalah salah satu lembaga formal dalam pembentukan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki keterampilan dibidangnya. Untuk mencapai keberhasilan kepala sekolah harus memiliki kopetensi yang di terapkan disekolahnya. Kompetensi kewirausahaan merupakan salah satu kompetensi  kepala  sekolah  yang  harus  dimiliki  oleh  kepala  sekolah.  Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui strategi meningkatkan patisipasi masyarakat dalam bidang pendidikan kelujuran melalui kompetensi kewirausahaan kepala sekolah. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenalogi. Dari hasil penelitian, Persepsi kepala sekolah terhadap kewirausahaan dengan kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam membaca dan melihat perkembangan dilingkungan pendidikan kejuruan disekitarnya, Bentuk-bentuk kompetensi kewirausahaan kepala sekolah yaitu kompetensi Inovasi dan kreativitas, Kompetensi memiliki sifat kerja keras, kompetensi pantang menyerah, kompetensi naluri kewirausahaan, upaya kepala sekolah  dalam  meningkatkan  partisipasi  masyarakat  dalam  bidang  pendidikan kejuruan melalui  pendekatan dengan  seluruh  warga  sekolah  dan  masyarakat, melibatkan orang tua dalam pembinaan siswa dibidang akademik maupun non akademik, transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam penggunaan dana, faktor pendukung peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam bidang pendidikan yaitu persamaan persepsi antara sekolah dan masyarakat akan pentingnya program sekolah yang berkaitan dengan pembinaan siswa sedangkan faktor penghambatnya, masyarakat belum sepenuhnya paham akan tanggung jawab pendidikan. Kata Kunci— Strategi, partisipasi masyarakat, kompetensi kewirausahaan
