Based on the results of descriptive data analysis, the average score for the two groups was obtained, namely the control class (pretest) at 41.25, while the results for the experimental class (posttest) were 67. Meanwhile, based on the results of the t-test calculations, it was found that the tcount value was 8, 02 while ttable with df 38 with a level of 0.05 then ttable = 2.75. So it is stated that tcount > ttable = 8.02 > 2.75 so that tcount is declared significant where Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This study aimed to explore teachers’ beliefs about teaching, knowledge (epistemic beliefs), and student’s ability. This was the first part of the study investigated the role of teachers’ beliefs in the implementation of curriculum reform in the Indonesian education system context. This study looked specifically into three kinds of teachers' beliefs which were essential in the preparation of teaching in the context of policy reform. The investigation was approached through multiple case study methodology by selecting four senior high school teachers from different public schools. Data were gathered from interviews. The result revealed that four participating teachers shared similar views about the nature of knowledge and students’ abilities. Nevertheless, beliefs about teaching were varied among individual participants. Two of the four teacher participants believed in student-centered instructional models, which were categorized into teaching beliefs that supported curriculum reform. Nevertheless, the other two participating teachers’ self-reported beliefs about teaching were situated between student-centered instructional learning and teacher-centered instructional learning models. They seemed to value both instructional learning models. Their teaching beliefs about teaching could not be categorized into beliefs that supported or inhibited the reform.

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the learning outcomes of science students regarding plant morphology in class IV at Miftahul Jannah Banyuasin. The method used is quasi experimental design, a form of design that uses non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was all fourth grade students. Meanwhile, the samples in this research were students in classes IV.A and IV.B with a total of 60 students. The data collection technique is carried out using tests. The data analysis technique used is the t test (independent t test). The results of the research show that the results of the hypothesis using the t-test on both groups with the results obtained, the tcount = 3.60 while the ttable value = 2045, thus tcount > ttable (3.60 > 2045) which means the working hypothesis (Ha) in This research was accepted, namely the results of science learning material on plant morphology for class IV students. This proves that there is an influence of the problem based learning model on the science learning outcomes of plant morphology material for class IV MI (Miftahul Jannah) Banyuasin students.
