Abstract

This research was motivated by students' low interest in learning due to a lack of enthusiasm for learning in mathematics subjects, so that students were not interested in learning, liked to talk to friends, and did not pay attention to the teacher when teaching during the learning process. And also by using learning media that does not involve students in the teaching and learning process so that students are less enthusiastic in learning, not motivated because they are not involved in learning and causes students to be inactive during learning. This research aims to determine the influence of tangram media on students' interest in learning flat shape material in class IV at SD Negeri 30 Palembang. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 30 Palembang which is located on Jl. Freshwater River, 29 Ilir, Kec. Ilir Barat II, Palembang City, South Sumatra. This research is a type of experimental research, namely the True Experimental Design type. The population and sample in this research were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 30 Palembang, totaling 32 students in the control class and 32 students in the experimental class. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this research include Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, Hypothesis Test. The results of this research are hypothesis testing showing that t count ≥ t table or 6.938 ≥ 0.349, so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is an influence of tangram media on students' interest in learning flat shape material in class IV at SD Negeri 30 Palembang.

Abstract

This study aims to identify linguistic features in each move and strategy used in LinkedIn profile summaries. The methodology employed is descriptive qualitative research, with data sourced from English-language profile summaries written by Indonesians. The findings reveal a diverse range of linguistic features, all aimed at achieving the communication goals of the profile summary, which include self-promotion, personal branding, and creating a positive image for the reader. These findings are expected to assist LinkedIn users in crafting more attractive and effective profile summaries. The novelty of this research lies in its analysis of contemporary discourse genres that evolve with the times.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess whether the use of QuillBot enhanced the academic writing skills of EFL learners in the English Education Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Pre-experimental design was implemented in this research. The participants in the research were selected from a class of 20 English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners who had recently completed their academic writing classes the previous semester. Data from the pre-test and post-test was collected and a t-test was used for analyses using SPSS 29.0 version. This test consisted of an academic writing test about things that transpired in the educational sphere. The pre-test score reached 123, while the post-test score was 285. The data demonstrates that the t-test result was 56.53. The significance level of a = 0.05. The results determined that Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 is the probability value for the pre-test and post-test data for the EFL academic writing performance by using QuillBot. H0 is rejected since the probability (Sig.) 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, the results strongly indicate that QuillBot has greatly enhanced EFL learners' academic writing skills.

Abstract

The low interest that students have in mathematics classes is the driving force behind this research, which aims to increase students' engagement and comprehension of addition and subtraction concepts by employing smart ladder media. The purpose of this study is to use smart ladder media to increase the Hots Thinking Subject's capacity. SD Negeri 83 Palembang, situated on Jl. Pangeran Ratu Jakabaring, RT 29/ RW 08, 15 Ulu, Seberang Ulu I District, Palembang City, South Sumatra, is the location where this research was conducted. This study falls under the category of development research since it aims to identify Valid, Practical, and Potential Effects. 10 students from class II at SD Negeri 83 Palembang participated in this study; ten students took the practical test and twenty-seven students worked on the questionnaire. In this study, tests and questionnaires were used as data collection methods. The investigation yielded 89% of the results with the criterion "Very valid" across all validators. A practicality test, administered at SD Negeri 83 Palembang, yielded a 56% "Quite practical" proportion among the ten students who completed the questionnaires. At SD Negeri 83 Palembang, the possible impact of providing 10 essay test questions received an 82% "Very Effective" rating.

Abstract

Technology development has led to the rise of social media, which affects all facets of a person's life, including Gen Z. The purpose of this study is to show Gen Z's overall opinions about Twitter's contribution to their English language development. In this poll, 84 Gen Z participants, ranging in age from 15 to 27, from diverse backgrounds and residences across Indonesia, took part. The participants divulged their answers to the survey questions concerning Twitter's contribution to the evolution of Gen Z English. Simple percentage analysis was used to examine the respondents' questionnaire responses, and the results were explained in relation to relevant theories and earlier research. This study revealed that Twitter plays a significant role in fostering the development of Gen Z English. Twitter not only helps Generation Z become more fluent in English, but it also gives them a platform to voice their opinions, share information, promote themselves, and engage in communication. This study offers useful data and fresh perspectives that may help us comprehend the part social media plays in Gen Z's English development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether class IV students at SDN 90 Palembang are able to improve their learning outcomes in Indonesian language proficiency through the usage of learning facilities. A pre-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed in this study. The sample method used in this study was non-probability sampling combined with a saturated sampling methodology, and the population consisted of all 24 class IV students at SDN 90 Palembang. The paired sample t-test is the analysis method employed in the study. The questionnaire instrument's t test analysis findings show that there areWith a significance level of 0.05 and a significant value of 0.000 (two tailed), the result is rejected and accepted since the significant value is less than 0.05 and 1.713. Concurrently, the hypothesis positing that the test questions on learning outcomes were significant (two-tailed) was rejected and accepted at a significance level of 0.05, since the significant value was 0.000 < 0.05 and 1.713. Thus, it can be said that class IV students at SD Negeri 90 Palembang are learning more Indonesian as a result of their use of the learning facilities.30,310 > t_(hitung ) t_(hitung ) 9,737 > t_(tabel ) H_0 H_a t_(tabel) H_0 H_a.

Abstract

Student creativity refers to the ability to create something new to provide knowledge in the learning process, such as writing narrative essays. This study aims to explain whether there is a relationship between the level of student creativity and the ability to write narrative essays of grade IV students of SDN 98 Palembang. This research uses correlation research method with quantitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the questionnaire of student creativity with a total score of 5 (8%) students in the moderately creative category, 29 (49%) students in the creative category, 25 (42%) students in the very creative category. The results of the narrative essay writing test show that 35 students scored above the average, which is 78. Many students have the ability to write narrative essays, namely 13 students are categorized as sufficient, 32 students are categorized as good, and 14 students are categorized as very good. Students are able to develop their creativity into a narrative essay. The results of the data show that there is a significant relationship between the level of student creativity and the ability to write narrative essays of grade IV students of State Elementary School 98 Palembang, which means accepting Ha and rejecting Ho. This research method is correlational, for further researchers can examine more deeply about the level of student creativity regarding writing skills.

Abstract

Traditional foods have names whose origins are unknown. The names of these traditional foods contain meaning, cultural values ​​and history that shape them. This is important to document in order to preserve traditional food and to enrich the formation of Indonesian vocabulary. This research aims to (1) inventory and document Purworejo traditional food in the form of market snacks; (2) describe the meaning of names, characteristics and techniques for making traditional market snacks in Purworejo. This research is qualitative research using a documentation study approach. This research data consists of images, vocabulary and morphological structure. The data source is in the form of documents regarding traditional market snacks in Purworejo Regency. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling. The data collection technique was carried out by document analysis. The data analysis technique is carried out using flowing model data analysis. Testing the validity of the data was carried out by triangulation between researchers. The results of the research showed that (1) 17 names of traditional snacks from Purworejo Regency were found that had not been documented in KBBI V, namely ciwel, clorot, dawet goreng, jenang pati garut/kerut, jongkong, golak, kue lompong, kokrok, putil, legendar, lemet, lupis, mata roda, meniran, rangin, sengkulun, and tahu susur/brontak. (2) The characteristics of each food vary, such as how it is made, how to eat it, and the ingredients used. (3) The making technique is generally done by steaming, boiling and frying. It is hoped that this research can add to the vocabulary of Indonesian and become an effort to preserve traditional Indonesian snacks.

Abstract

This research focuses on the news of Aldi Taher as a Bacaleg in online media. The purpose of this research is to find out how the image displayed by three online media (tempo.co, republika.co.id, and detik.com) and its relation to social reality. In this research, the method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data analysis uses critical discourse study theory proposed by Norman Fairclough. The results show that there are different variations of media images. Tempo.co tends to focus on reporting Aldi Taher's politics as a Bacaleg by finding out responses to the political world, Detik.com is more focused on the Aldi Taher phenomenon on social media but is reported neutrally, while Republika.co.id is more focused on reporting the Aldi Taher phenomenon and his unique image known on social media.   Key Words: Critical Discourse Analysis, Online Media, Celebrity

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the project to raise the Pancasila student profile (p5) has affected the class IV pupils at SDN 10 Sungailiat's autonomous attitude.Quantitative experimental procedures are the research approach that is employed. Questionnaires are the method used in this study to collect data. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a posttest alone and a non-equivalent control group. The average posttest score for the control class is 51.37, whereas the experimental class's posttest score is 83.96, according to data processing results from the research. The sample is drawn from a population that is regularly distributed, according to the results of the normality test. The results of the homogeneity test demonstrate that each group's variance is the same, or homogeneous. The results of the independent sample t-test hypothesis test show nvalue of significance2-tailednamely 0.000 so Sig. 0,000< 0.05 with a value of tcount 35.217 and ttable 2.00575 so tcount > ttable. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is influenceproject to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students (p5) towards the independent attitude of class IV students at SDN 10 Sungailiat.
