Abstract

This project aimed to find and evaluate successful ways to teach financial literacy to Indonesian children in their early years. The main problem in this study was children's lack of knowledge about basic economic concepts, which can impact their future ability to manage resources. This study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method throughout the study's planning, implementation, and reporting stages. To collect literature sources four databases were used: Google Scholar, Open Knowledge, Sage, and Science Direct. The literature used as research material was selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria to improve the quality and relevance of the evidence used in the study, ensuring that the findings obtained were robust and credible. The findings of this study indicate that the use of direct strategies, the use of educational media and games, the habit of saving, and a combination of strategies have helped improve children’s understanding of financial literacy. Collaboration between teachers and parents is essential to teach financial literacy. The findings of this study highlight the importance of incorporating financial literacy into the Indonesian education curriculum, with the help of appropriate media and child-based learning, as well as the need for strong collaboration between schools and parents to create a conducive environment for the development of children’s financial skills.

Abstract

The massive penetration of digital technology in the lives of early childhood has created new challenges in the development of religious and moral values. This study examines teacher strategies, parental roles, and social changes in the development of religious and moral values in PAUD Al Husna Pamekasan. This study uses a phenomenological approach involving four PAUD teachers, five parents, and six children aged 4-6 years. Data were collected through participant observation conducted for three months using interview techniques, and analysis of learning documents. The results of the study indicate that the success of religious and moral development in the digital era requires a balance between traditional values and modern technology. Teachers develop an approach that combines traditional methods with digital technology, while parents apply guided digital parenting that maintains religious values. This study produces three practical implications: a guide to the implementation of balanced teaching methods, an effective teacher-parent communication system, and the development of digital learning materials that support religious and moral values. This study contributes to the development of early childhood education in the digital era while maintaining Indonesian cultural identity.

Abstract

Early childhood is the future generation of the nation, positioned at a crucial stage of character, attitude, and mindset formation. However, in this modern era, many children exhibit disrespectful behavior and use foul language, which has become a serious concern for the education sector. One of the primary objectives of character education is to cultivate attitudes in children so they act by societal norms, characterized by affective traits such as values, attitudes, appreciation, and adaptability. One effective method for instilling character values is habituation, which enables children to internalize positive behaviors from an early age. This study aims to explore the process of instilling the value of generosity in early childhood through habituation during group meals. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with primary data sources from the principal and teachers of RA As-Syahidul Kabir. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that weekly group meals serve as an effective medium for fostering the value of generosity. In this activity, children bring food from home, but not all children come with food. This situation is utilized by teachers to encourage children to share their meals with peers who do not bring any. Additionally, children share side dishes, which vary among individuals, thereby strengthening the values of generosity and empathy. This act of sharing eventually becomes a positive habit ingrained in children through the group meal activity.

Abstract

Assessment activities are carried out to determine the achievement of child development. Assessment activities involve teachers and parents. This study examines parental involvement in assessments by the principles of assessment, namely parents as a source of assessment information and as listeners. This study involved 81 parents with early childhood children attending the Penggerak Kindergarten institution in Bangkalan District. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that parents tend to be able to carry out their roles by one of the principles of assessment, namely as a source of information by providing information about the strengths and weaknesses of children and parents can be listeners to information on child development delivered by teachers. This study provides new insights into the role of parents in early childhood development assessments. This study contributes to education to be able to involve parents not only in learning activities but also in child development assessments.
