Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of giving gamal leaf ferment solution on the growth, productivity and quality of kale plants and to obtain the concentration of gamal leaf ferment solution which has an optimum effect on the growth, productivity and quality of curly kale plants. The research method used in this study is the experimental method. The results showed that based on the results of the test of variance, liquid organic fertilizer (POC) fermented gamal leaves with concentrations of 0%, 40 ml/l, 80 ml/l, 120 ml/l and 180 ml/l had a very significant effect on plant growth. kale curly seen from plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, and crown width, then related to the effect of giving gamal leaf ferment solution on the productivity of Kale Curly plants shows that there is a very significant effect on the parameters of root wet weight and root dry weight for each concentration given , whereas for the parameters of shoot wet weight and shoot dry weight did not show a significant effect, then on the quality of kale curly plants showed that there was a very significant treatment of POC fermented gagal leaves on total chlorophyll, but not significantly different for chlorophyll A, chlorophyll B, and vitamin C. So that it can be concluded that in this study the administration of fermented gamal leaves had a very significant effect on the growth of kale culy plants, for productivity there was a very significant effect on the parameters of root wet weight and root dry weight, but not with shoot wet weight and shoot dry weight , while for the quality of kale curly there was a very significant treatment for total chlorophyll, but not for chlorophyll A, chlorophyll B, and vitamin C, while the most optimum concentration of fermented galam leaves for growth, productivity, and quality of kale curly was administration of fermented gamal leaves with a concentration of 120 ml/l. Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in scientific and cognitive literacy skills using jigsaw cooperative learning and Group Investigation. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experiment). By using research design Non-Randomized Control-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this study was 54 students who were divided into 3 groups, namely the experimental group using Jigsaw learning type, Group Investigation type learning and the control group. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis in this study used ANOVA. The results showed that the Group Investigation learning model was better in improving students' scientific literacy skills than the Jigsaw and Conventional learning models. Statistical tests show that there is a significant difference between students' scientific and cognitive literacy skills in integrated science subjects using the Jigsaw, Group Investigation and Conventional Cooperative models with a significance value of 0.000, meaning that the difference is very significant. Abstract

This research aims to determine metal pollution in the Marbau river basin in North Labuhanbatu Regency. Sampling was carried out at 3 monitoring points in the upstream to downstream areas of the Marbau River in North Labuhanbatu Regency. Determination of sample return points. The method used is purposive sampling, by determining sampling points based on the differences in characteristics found in the research area. Some of the parameters measured are temperature, conductivity, turbidity, total dissolved density, BOD, COD, DO, pH, nitrate and chlorophyll which are then compared with the Standard Criteria for Class III river water quality according to the attachment to the reference regulation PerMenKes No.32 of 2017. The research results show that the upstream to downstream areas of the Marbau River are areas that can be categorized as low level pollution referring to PP RI NO 82 TAHUN 2001 with the specified quality standard for the heavy metal lead being 0.003 ppm. The conclusion of the analysis of the heavy metal lead (PB) from upstream to downstream of the Marbau River shows that the heavy metal lead (PB) pollution in the river is still relatively low or has not been contaminated by the heavy metal lead (PB). Abstract

This study aims to explore the benefits of bajakah (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) through the study of its utilization as a hepatoprotector. This research method is quantitative. Bajakah stem extract was made using 96% ethanol solvent using the maceration method. Analysis was carried out using liver histology preparations to determine the HAI (Histology Activity Index) Knodel Score. The treatment group consisted of 5 groups, namely, a) negative control (K1) treated with toxic doses of CCL4; b) positive control, namely vitamin E 46.8 mg/KgBW; c) P1 (treatment 1) was 750 mg/KgBW of Bajakah stem extract; d) P2 (treatment two) was 1200 mg/KgBW of pirated stem extract; e) P3 (treatment of three) was extract of the stem of Bajakah 1500 mg/KgBB. The results showed that the post hoc LSD test results in the P1 group had a histopathological picture of damaged liver, there was a significant difference with the K and P3 groups (p <0.05), but there was no significant difference when compared with the P2 group. Meanwhile, the P3 group had significant differences when compared to all groups (p <0.05). In conclusion, the administration of extract of pirated stems at a dose of 1,500 mg/Kg has a significant effect on the HAI value on the average number of hepatocytes with parenchymatous degeneration and necrosis after CCL4 induced Keywords: Bajakah, CCL4, Hepatoprotective

Abstract

This research aims to determine the compressive strength of paving blocks produced from plastic waste through a comparison with paving blocks made from a mixture of plastic and sand, as well as factory-produced paving blocks used for the UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu campus courtyard. The research is conducted using an experimental method, starting with the manufacturing of plastic-based paving blocks and followed by strength testing in the civil engineering laboratory of the University of Bengkulu. The results of the research show that the compressive strength of factory-produced paving blocks made from sand and cement averages 5.9 MPa, while the compressive strength of paving blocks made from a mixture of plastic and sand averages 1.32 MPa, and the average compressive strength of paving blocks is 2.23 MPa. In conclusion, the compressive strength of paving blocks made from pure plastic or a mixture of plastic and sand is still below the SNI 03-0691-1996 standard due to the brittle nature of plastic. Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity of the MTs environmentally friendly technology practicum guidebook in the context of using solar cells that have been developed. The research method used is quantitative descriptive to determine the quality or suitability of the environmentally friendly technology practicum guidebook. This practical guidebook explains its feasibility through validity by experts and educators, as well as MTs teachers. The instrument used was a questionnaire which was analyzed using a Likert scale. The research results show that this practical guidebook is suitable for use with a result of 93.3, which is included in the appropriate category and can improve students' critical thinking by calculating using an N-gain of 0.83. Also, the teacher's response to the environmentally friendly technology practicum guidebook on the use of solar cells obtained a percentage of 91.50 in the almost complete category. Meanwhile, student responses obtained a percentage of 89.9 with almost all categories. In conclusion, the validation results that have been carried out on the environmentally friendly technology practicum guidebook on the use of solar cells have very feasible feasibility criteria. Also, students' critical thinking abilities after being given a practicum guidebook for environmentally friendly technology increased. Keywords: Practical Guidebook, Solar C

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes and scientific attitudes of class XII students of MAN Cendekiawan OKI by using the Peer Tutoring Type Cooperative Learning model through Classroom Action Research which includes the stages of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. This research method is quantitative. The data obtained will be analyzed using the SPSS calculation application. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes and scientific attitudes, where at the end of the cycle the learning outcomes in the knowledge domain reached 95.8% (average score 89.17) and students' scientific attitudes also experienced an increase in indicators. Honest attitude is 3.84 (very good), 3.83 (very good) for cooperation and 3.77 (very good) for self-confidence. In conclusion, the application of the Peer Tutoring Type Cooperative Learning model can improve learning outcomes and scientific attitudes of class XII students of MAN Cendekiawan OKI. Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of suitability of the fungibility material based on the aspect of scientific literacy in biology textbooks used in SMA/MA, in Bandar sub-district, Simalungun Regency. The research method used in this study is descriptive with a document analysis approach. This study focuses on analyzing aspects of scientific literacy in Fungi material in high school/MA biology textbooks in Bandar sub-district, Simalungun Regency. The results of the study showed that dimensy literacy science showed a different cell membrane. Book a has an average percentage of 78.12, while Book B has an average percentage of 92.5. In conclusion, based on the dimensions of scientific literacy, the results obtained from the analysis of scientific literacy in book A are the highest, namely science as a way of investigation, while in book B, there are two highest, namely science as a way of thinking with science and its interactions with technology and society. Abstract

This study aims to isolate cellulolytic bacteria that have the potential to degrade cellulose by taking home-scale diaper waste samples. This research was also conducted to isolate and determine the ability of bacteria to degrade cellulose based on the Congo red test and filter paper degradation test. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Isolation of cellulolytic bacteria was carried out using selective Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) media. The characterization was carried out by growing selected pure isolates on CMC media and then dropping congored drops to test their cellulolytic potential (cellulolytic potential is indicated by the appearance of a clear zone around the colony). The results showed that the results of isolating bacteria obtained 12 isolates that were able to grow and utilize cellulose as a carbon source. In the Congo red test isolate DS07 cellulolytic bacteria of the Hafnia genus had the highest cellulolytic index value of 2.5 mm. Isolate DS03 with the genus Bacillus had the highest ability to degrade cellulose on the Whatman No. filter paper test. 1 of 16.66%. Keywords: Bacteria, Diapers, Isolation, Cellulolytic

Abstract

This research aims to determine the antioxidant activity of ciplukan leaf kombucha on variations in sugar type and fermentation time and to determine the organoleptic quality of ciplukan leaf kombucha on variations in sugar type and fermentation time. The research method used was descriptive quantitative and qualitative using experimental methods and a Completely Randomized Design with 2 factors with 3 replications. The results of the research showed that the antioxidant activity of ciplukan leaf kombucha was highest in the G1F2 treatment (225 grams of ciplukan leaf kombucha with palm sugar and 7 days of fermentation), namely 47.4%. Meanwhile, the highest organoleptic quality of ciplukan leaf kombucha in the G1F2 treatment (225 gram palm sugar ciplukan leaf kombucha and fermentation time of 7 days) was that it had a pleasant taste, sour taste, had a typical kombucha aroma and was brown in color. In conclusion, the type of sugar has no significant effect on the antioxidant activity of ciplukan leaf kombucha and the fermentation time has a significant effect on the antioxidant activity of ciplukan leaf kombucha.
