Abstract

The development of English Fun Learning teaching materials presents a creative approach to English language learning, incorporating engaging elements such as games, songs, instructional content, quizzes, and practice questions. This research aims to explore the development of teaching materials for English language instruction at MI Darul Falah Menilo in class IV, specifically focusing on the validation of the appropriateness of these materials concerning the topic "How do you go to school." The researchers employed a Research and Development (R&D) method, which is centered on creating and evaluating educational products. The study follows a structured process comprising seven stages: gathering initial information, planning, development, product trials, initial product revisions, field trials, and final product revisions. The teaching materials created are designed using the Canva application, tailored for English subjects in class IV. Validation results revealed that the teaching material design experts rated the materials at 91%, material experts also assessed them at 91%, and learning experts rated them at 93%. Additionally, student feedback on the learning materials achieved a response rate of 92%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the English Fun Learning teaching materials are highly suitable for use by students in their learning process.

Abstract

Madrasah is an Islamic Educational Institution that is able to maintain its existence in carrying out its functions. Madrasah is also obliged to improve its quality to maintain its sustainability. Therefore, the management of facilities and infrastructure is aimed at improving the services of the madrasah. This study aims to describe the infrastructure management activities carried out by the Al-Azhar Superior Madrasah in order to improve education services and quality, what obstacles are faced in the implementation process, and solutions taken to anticipate existing obstacles. This research is qualitative in nature with the type of case study at the Al-Azhar Superior Madrasah. This research uses participatory observation methods, in-depth interviews and documentation studies in data mining. Data analysis uses the Miles, Huberman and Saldana techniques. The management of facilities and infrastructure at the Al-Azhar Superior Madrasah has been carried out quite well in terms of planning, procuring, maintaining, and inventorying the facilities and infrastructure in the madrasah environment, which has proven to be able to improve services which ultimately improve the quality of education, as evidenced by the increasing quality of its output. The constraints are that there is a lack of funds and administrative staff. The solutions that have been implemented by the Al-Azhar Superior Madrasah to solve the existing problems are: 1) Procurement must be in accordance with the Madrasah Work Plan that has been prepared, 2) Organization must be carried out in accordance with the madrasah's duties and functions, 3) Control of procurement and use of facilities and infrastructure must be carried out with previously decided procedures, so that supporting documents are complete. The role of each stakeholder determines the quality of education in terms of facilities and infrastructure at the Al-Azhar Superior Madrasah.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a "Month Spinner" educational media for first-grade elementary students focusing on learning time in a yearly context. The ADDIE method was employed, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data was gathered through interviews, observations, and questionnaires from experts and users. The research findings indicate that this media is highly feasible and practical, with media expert validation at 98%, material expert validation at 89%, practicality tests by teachers at 93%, and students at 96%. This media is suitable for early grade learning, aiding comprehension of monthly sequences in a year.

Abstract

Integrating English language teaching with cultural contents is significantly pivotal in preserving its values of the local culture. Ironically, it has not gained much attention regarding the integration of Pacitan’s local wisdom in English language teaching. Furthermore, English language teaching involves learning not only grammar and vocabulary, but it is also essential to learn about cultures. Additionally, enhancing students’ character development by merging local wisdom into English learning materials can promote Islamic values to safeguard the harmony and tolerance in local community. Wayang Beber, as one of Pacitan’s local wisdoms, stipulates that its values can both enrich educational contents and encourage essential character traits among students. This paper employs library research to gain deep understanding about the depiction of Wayang Beber as one of learning materials utilized in English language teaching. The results of the research denote that integrating local culture, Wayang Beber, not only the local culture can be preserved but also learning materials can be more various and interesting.

Abstract

Language interference is still an interesting topic to research, especially for language observers, This is influenced by the variety of regional languages ​​or mother tongues used in Indonesia. This research aims to determine the interference of the Madurese dialect in the pronunciation of the Hijaiyah letters of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students during the implementation of Arabic language learning at school. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods using several data analysis processes, namely data collection, data reduction, data verification, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the research show that Madurese dialect interference in the pronunciation of the hijaiyah letters of class VI MI Nurus Salam Pamekasan students has two forms, namely changing the sound of certain letters into the sound of other letters which are almost similar in articulation and the presence of inaccurate articulation of certain letters such as the letters ب، ج، د and several other letters

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of clinical supervision as a means to enhance teaching quality. Utilizing a qualitative approach and a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis involving teachers who had experienced clinical supervision, supervisors, and the school principal. The data analysis employed qualitative methods, including open, axial, and selective coding, to identify key themes related to the role of clinical supervision in teacher professional development. The findings reveal that clinical supervision significantly improves teaching quality, particularly in lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation. Teachers reported notable enhancements in their teaching strategies and classroom management following feedback from supervisors. However, the study also uncovered challenges such as time constraints and a lack of sufficient training for supervisors. Despite these challenges, teachers generally held positive perceptions of clinical supervision, recognizing it as an essential tool for their professional growth. In conclusion, this study affirms that clinical supervision is an effective approach to enhancing teaching quality. The study provides recommendations for improving supervisor training and optimizing supervision time to maximize the benefits of the clinical supervision process.

Abstract

Teachers as the frontline of the world of education must be technologically literate, keep up with the latest developments, and adjust and utilize them in learning. The world of education must adapt to this progress to improve the quality of education, especially by adjusting the use of information and communication technology in education, especially in the learning process. And educators are competing to present innovations and new colors in learning. Technology is very helpful in the learning process, the material is so easy to get, training or the learning process can be done online or anywhere, one of which is through the Google Slides platform. This study uses a quantitative approach and a type of True Experimental Design research, used to determine the scores of students from classes that are treated (experimental), and classes that are not treated (control) by improvement. Posttest Only Control Design research design. The results of the research on the Independent Sample T-Test were obtained by Sig. (2-tailed) .000 < 0.05, so there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes in class VI A as a control class that uses conventional media and class VI B as an experimental class that uses Google Slides media. And based on the results of the N-Gain score test, it shows that the average N-gain score for the experimental class (Google Slide-Based Digital Platform) is 87.11 or 87.11% included in the effective category. With an N-gain score of at least 80% and a maximum of 98%. Meanwhile, the N-gain of the control class (conventional method) has an average score of 61.68% and is included in the category of quite effective with a minimum N-gain score of 45% and a maximum score of 78%. Then H0 is rejected and HA is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the impact of the use of the ClassDojo application on Self-Regulated learning students and the involvement of parents in SD Kharisma Nations. This study is a kunatitative study with regression mode. The sample consisted of 89 students in classes IV–VI and 75 elders. Data is collected through lifting and documentation, as well as analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests (normality and linearity), simple regression tests, determinant coefficients, and t-tests. The results showed that the Classdojo application had a positive and significant influence on self-regulated learning of 42.4% (sig. 0,00 dann t. count 6,131). The Classdojo application also has a positive and significant influence on parental involvement (26%). (sig. 0,00 dan t. hitung 3,891). This result depends on the use of Classdojo features such as classroom, class story and portfolios, and messages. a) Classroom features support effective classroom management and positive interaction, which can enhance student motivation and behavior. b) Portfolios enable students to reflect and track their own development, supporting metacognitive aspects. c) Class Story facilitates communication between school and home, encouraging further involvement and motivation from students and their parents. d) Messages facilitate direct communication between parents and teachers. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of ClassDojo can improve the self-regulated learning of students and the involvement of parents in SD Kharisma Nasa. It is recommended that this application be optimized for use by teachers, students, and parents.

Abstract

The development of children's character is basically greatly influenced by the parenting patterns of parents in everyday life in the family environment. So that a harmonious relationship in the family will greatly help teacher in the development of students/children's character at school. This study aims to examine in more detail the interaction patterns between teachers and students, parents and children, and teachers and parents at MI Miftahul Huda Ngenep Karangploso, Malang Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. The results of this study indicate that 1) the way teachers and students communicate is carried out formally in classroom learning as a teacher and is carried out informally outside the classroom as a student's friend in order to communicate more closely; 2) the way parents and children communicate needs to be carried out intensively by giving advice, supervising activities, providing examples, providing motivation, and giving punishment; and 3) the way teachers communicate with parents is carried out by utilizing communication tools (handphone and whatsapp), visits to students' homes, and inviting parents to school at the beginning and end of the school year

Abstract

This study aim to describe, analyze, and provide an interpretation of the reasons why inclusive Islamic education is used as the first foothold in Sekolah Negeri 1 Tosari. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type. The researcher went directly into the field, involving elements of school principals, teachers, and students as the main subjects. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively with an inductive approach through four activity flows: data collection, condensation, presentation, and verification. The results of this study show that inclusive Islamic education is used as the first foothold at Tosari Pasuruan State Elementary School 1 because it can encourage the creation of a harmonious educational environment, build inclusive spiritual and social awareness, and instill the value of tolerance through joint activities.
