Abstract

Prevention of drug abuse is part of the implementation of P4GN by BNNP Riau. This program increases public awareness of the threats and dangers of drugs and supports national security which is correlated with improving people's welfare. P4GN is manifested through various sub-programs and empowerment with a directive approach. The realization of “desa bersinar”, the implementation of alternative empowerment and improvement of life skills, and the use of media by the local government with the assistance of the BNNP Riau directly have an impact on reducing the number of drug use. This study uses a qualitative approach located in Riau Province. Data collection uses interviews and documentation which are then analyzed to draw conclusions and have been verified. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that P4GN which is implemented through the role of the regional government, especially BNNP Riau, is collaboratively carried out with several real activities that are directed and systematized. Various anti-drug activities and campaigns using the media are BNNP's instruments in changing people's mindsets to stay away from drugs. The program carried out runs with intervention, especially the community empowerment as the center of IBM cadres. The implementation of P4GN can increase productivity which leads to prosperity and a conducive state condition so as to assist the government in maintaining national security.

Abstract

Ulee Lheue Beach is one of the marine tourism sites in Banda Aceh. Its appearance, apart from attracting visitors to enjoy the beauty of the shore, also has consequences for piles of garbage thrown carelessly by the visitors to the shoreline which has an impact on environmental damage. In addition, the visitors tend to heed the government’s appeal to strictly commit to health protocols such as social distancing, gathering prohibition, and wearing masks while they visit the tourism spots. Therefore, this community outreach sought to map the knowledge of the tourists about waste and its impact on tourism sites and its relation to the dangers of Covid-19. This service employed mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative). The survey results showed that the visitors have fairly good knowledge regarding the dangers of waste and Covid-19 yet still uninternalized in their daily attitudes. Thus, the service team provides education through leaflets and videos on Youtube channels, hoping that the visitors would have higher commitment towards the environmental hygiene and health protocols at tourist sites.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed various sectors, such as the economy, health and education, which has resulted in problems stemming from the hindrances in the activities of the three sectors. Even though it was over, the problems formed during that period remain and require an integrative solution. The government is primarily responsible for overcoming it, but during the pandemic, many grassroots collective works have emerged which have significantly overcome societal problems. One of the forms of this grassroots work is the Sbatan Jogja (SONJO) community. SONJO is a multi-actor movement that, during the pandemic, moved massively to organise informal social protection to reduce social risks due to economic, health and education problems. This research will focus on this issue using a qualitative case study method. Data was obtained based on interviews with SONJO initiators. The results obtained were that SONJO was an intermediary actor in the distribution of informal social protection during the COVID-19 pandemic in DI Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The inadequate management of waste in a region has adverse effects on environmental pollution in that area. The resulting impacts include a decline in health due to disease outbreaks carried by waste, disruptions to aesthetics and comfort, disturbance of ecosystems, and economic losses. Current waste management practices often lack the principles of reduction, reuse, and recycling, leading to negative effects on public health and the environment. Comprehensive and integrated waste management is needed to achieve economic benefits, health for the community, and environmental safety. This study focuses on the revitalization of a Sharia-based Waste Bank (BSS) at Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UINSA) in Surabaya, Indonesia. The aim is to support the university's commitment to environmental sustainability and implement quality waste management. The research employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews, to assess the current waste management situation, stakeholders' perceptions, and potential strategies for waste bank revitalization. The study proposes a community-based waste management model through the revitalization of BSS to empower both internal and external stakeholders. This model integrates educational programs, financial incentives, and technological solutions to promote waste reduction, sorting, and recycling. The research contributes to enhancing waste management practices in the university and its surrounding communities while aligning with global sustainability goals.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional disorder that causes children's height growth to be inappropriate for their age. This linear growth disorder is caused by a chronic lack of nutritional intake, especially during the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) which starts from the time of conception until the child is 2 years old and/or due to repeated chronic infections. The factor of poor nutritional intake during pregnancy is related to the baby's low birth weight so that the baby can experience malnutrition from the womb until birth. The aim of the activity is to optimize the prevention of stunting in toddlers through counseling and training for cadres in Desa Hangtuah, Kec. Perhentian Raja, Kab. Kampar. The methods used are discussion, compression and simulation starting from the preparation stage, creating educational media such as posters and banners, counseling and simulating the use of anthropometric kits. The results obtained from activities can increase participants' knowledge and skills. It is hoped that with this activity participants can pass on the information obtained to other Hangtuah Village communities so that they can prevent stunting as early as possible.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas kegiatan sosialisasi pendaftaran merek bagi pelaku usaha di Desa Semunai, Kecamatan Pinggir, Kabupaten Bengkalis. Pendaftaran merek merupakan langkah krusial dalam melindungi hak kekayaan intelektual dan menciptakan keunggulan kompetitif bagi pelaku usaha, terutama di tingkat lokal seperti desa. Namun, kesadaran dan pemahaman akan pentingnya pendaftaran merek seringkali masih kurang di kalangan pelaku usaha skala kecil di daerah pedesaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode diskusi dan praktek (learning by doing) dan hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pelaku usaha di Desa Semunai pada awal kegiatan belum memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang pendaftaran merek dan manfaatnya, sehingga dengan dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini telah meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran peserta terkait regulasi, urgensi, dan tatacara pendaftaran merek. Upaya sosialisasi yang lebih intensif dan berkelanjutan akan membantu melindungi hak kekayaan intelektual pelaku usaha, meningkatkan daya saing, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi di tingkat desa, khususnya di Desa Semunai, Kecamatan Pinggir, Kabupaten Bengkalis.
