JURNAL COMMUNITY PENGAWAS DINAMIKA SOSIAL (JCPDS) merupakan jurnal elektronik online yang diterbitkan oleh lembaga penerbitan Jurusan SOSIOLOGI, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Teuku Umar. JCPDS memuat kajian seperti MASALAH-MASALAH SOSIAL, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Pembangunan Sosial, dan Perubahan Sosial & Budaya. Kesemuanya difokuskan pada masyarakat pedesaan dan pesisir sebagaimana visi misi prodi dan Universitas yang mengarah pada agro and marine industry. Tujuan penerbitan jurnal ini adalah salah satu sarana untuk mewadahi kebutuhan peningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas karya ilmiah. JCPDS terbit dua kali dalam setahun, yakni pada bulan April dan Oktober.

<![CDATA[This study examines gender differences in request speech and politeness, focusing on how men and women use different linguistic strategies to convey requests politely. This study aims to analyze the alerter and supporting speech elements in request speech in the Bima language as spoken by male and female students. It also compares the request speech elements used by men and women. Using a qualitative approach, the data analyzed consists of request utterances in the Bima language. Data were collected through recording techniques and discourse completion tests. The data analysis involved categorizing the speech elements as units of analysis, focusing on alerter and supporting elements, and classifying them based on Blum-Kulka’s framework. The analysis revealed that male speech tended to demonstrate familiarity with the interlocutor through the varied use of alerter greetings, while female speech showed politeness by employing supporting speech. This difference indicates that men are more inclined to use positive politeness strategies, whereas women tend to use negative politeness strategies.]]>

<![CDATA[Kajian mengenai dampak sosial dari keberadaan pengungsi Rohingya di Aceh hingga tahun 2022, sejauh yang peneliti ketahui, belum ada penelitian serupa yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah pantai timur Provinsi Aceh dan kantor wilayah Rumah Tahanan Pengungsi Luar Negeri Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan menganalisis dampak sosial dari kehadiran pengungsi Rohingya di Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan pengungsi Rohingya di Aceh memberikan dampak terhadap hubungan sosial antar komunitas lokal di tempat penampungan Rohingya. Hal ini tercermin dari sikap kecemburuan dan kesenjangan sosial antara pengungsi dan masyarakat. Selain itu, keberadaan etnis Rohingya di Aceh juga memberikan dampak pada aspek perekonomian yang dipengaruhi oleh hadirnya lembaga donor asing yang bergerak dalam penanganan pengungsi sehingga terbukalah ruang ekonomi baru dalam berbagai transaksi kebutuhan pengungsi. Kenyataan tersebut menimbulkan asumsi bahwa kehadiran pengungsi Rohingya di Aceh tidak hanya memberikan dampak sosial namun juga berdampak pada aspek sosial ekonomi masyarakat.]]>

<![CDATA[Gampong Mee Panyang Busu is one of the gampongs in the Mutiara sub-district, Kab. Pidie. So in this study, the author will explore the mechanism of the Keusyik (Village Head) of Gampong Mee Panyang Busu in building strength and empowering Gampong organizations, thus improving the welfare of the community. The focus of the case study is in Gampong Mee Panyang Busu, Mutiara District, Pidie Regency, Aceh Province. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method. In which the author attempts to describe the strength and empowerment of Gampong organizations in advancing the nation and improving the welfare of the people of Gampong Mee Panyang Busu, Mutiara District, Pidie Regency, Aceh Province. The results found the following points: namely by maximizing the duties and functions of Gampong apparatus/equipment by delegating tasks to each position, preparing superior Gampong empowerment programs, and realizing each activity program that has been mutually agreed upon.]]>

<![CDATA[In Nagari Lubuk Malako, Sangir Jujuan District, South Solok Regency, pre-prosperous single-parent women face unique challenges due to divorce, widowhood, or separation. These women undertake all household responsibilities, balancing roles as both the head of the household and homemaker to ensure their families' needs are met and their children lead fulfilling lives despite the absence of a father figure. This study aims to investigate the roles of these women in the specified region. Using a qualitatif research methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participan observation. The findings indicate that these women perform multiple critical roles: 1) breadwinner, 2) housewife, 3) child moral educator, and 4) head of the family. This research highlights the significant contributions and resilience of single-parent women in maintaining their households and supporting their children's well-being.]]>

<![CDATA[There are 46,000 employees who have experienced layoffs due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Bali. Of the many workers who were laid off, 652 of them were residents of Tejakula Village, Buleleng, Bali. This condition forces them to choose to return to their hometowns while there are not enough job opportunities in their hometowns. Based on the conditions above, this research attempts to answer the question What are the survival strategies for layoff victims during the Covid-19 pandemic in Tejakula Village, Buleleng, Bali by using a survival strategy theory analysis knife which is divided into three main strategies. To obtain the data mentioned above, the data in this research follows the principles of qualitative research methods where the data is presented in descriptive narrative form whose data sources come from interviews, literature studies and field observations. In general, the victims' survival strategies Termination of employment during the Covid-19 pandemic in Tejakula Village can be categorized into three forms: 1) Active strategy, 2). Passive strategy, 3). Network strategy. The important aim of this research is to obtain an overview of the survival strategies of victims of layoffs during the Covid-19 pandemic in Tejakula Village. At the same time, the results of this research are expected to provide theoretical implications for future Bali policy formulation so that they are not completely dependent on the tourism sector but can see the potential for home-based MSMEs is mainly in the food and beverage sector with potential.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is aimed at describing how the understanding and application of internal and external media organizational communication ethics of Acehnese local political parties ahead of the 2024 general election. The character, style and pattern of communication within political party organizations have undergone significant changes. This is due to globalization, the information technology revolution has provided hardware or media hardware and software which can be in the form of values, methods, culture adapted by organizational communication actors. So that the members of the organization become more free, democratic and egalitarian. Currently there are almost no political, business and other organizations that can exist without the use of digital media. It is even predicted that in the future it will become more massive and integrative on high-tech or high-tech devices. However, organizational communication through media without being based on ethics can damage all communication arrangements, both internal and external. The method used in this research is a literature study. The results of the study show that the understanding and application of organizational communication ethics through Aceh's local political parties both internally and externally is still weak. So that literacy is needed regarding ethics, organizational communication ethics including media literacy which is one of the supporting tools to help educate the management and members of organizations including the public in political life.]]>

<![CDATA[Lampu Satu beach tourism is an icon of beach attractions in Merauke regency which has strategic value. This research aims to optimize existing coastal tourism potential assets so that they can grow sustainably through the Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD) approach. The ABCD approach aims to maximize the potential of physical and non-physical assets at the location of the Lampu Satu tourist attraction. The type of research is qualitative with primary data through data collection techniques, namely observation and in-depth interview interviews, which are then analyzed with a descriptive analysis approach, while secondary data comes from literature reviews both from books and journals that are related and relevant to the substance of the research conducted. The results showed that on Lampu Satu Merauke beach, there are several assets that have not been optimized such as historical assets, individual assets, facilities and infrastructure and natural resource assets. One of the other efforts to maximize other tourism potential is to increase social media understanding and digital access to tourism managers, as a tourism promotion tool. In addition, education and socialization about the management of organic waste into compost is part of the sustainable tourism development process.]]>

<![CDATA[The government's policy of building one million houses has been a major focus of Indonesia's efforts to improve access to decent housing for its citizens. Community access to the need for decent housing is a problem that must be immediately found a solution. For this reason, the government launched a one million house program in order to ensure the availability of decent houses for underprivileged residents. The purpose of this study is to evaluate as well as analyze the effectiveness of government policies to build one million houses, focusing on the analysis of rational housing development in Bantul province in 2019. The research method applied is qualitative research through a case study framework by collecting data from various sources relevant to the focus of the study.The results of the analysis show that the government's policy of building one million houses in Bantul Province has brought many positive results. Construction of decent housing has increased, increasing the number of houses built and increasing the availability of housing for low-income communities. However, there are also some hurdles that must be overcome, such as budget constraints and coordination between central and local governments. This study provides insight into the effectiveness of decent housing development policies in Bantul District. More research is needed to better understand the long-term impact of these policies and possible efforts to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.]]>

<![CDATA[Adolescence is a transition period for a person in searching for his or her identity. In searching for their identity, teenagers sometimes commit deviations. Deviations that are currently widespread are acts of klitih. Klitih is a case of deviation in the form of violence and is negative in nature. Seeing the many cases of klitih that occur in society, especially the people of Yogyakarta, it is appropriate for all parties to seek the best solution to suppress and prevent cases of klitih from recurring. One effort that can be made is to increase the role of parental parenting in adolescent development. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive analysis and literature study which presents data based on several relevant opinions from various sources and then analyzes them. This research also aims to find out how parents' parenting patterns deal with deviance in adolescents, with a focus on the klitih phenomenon in Yogyakarta. The results of this research reveal various parenting patterns used by parents in dealing with adolescent deviance, namely klitih. Some parents use an authoritarian approach, while others are more likely to approach a democratic approach. Psychological and social factors also play an important role in parents' decision making regarding the phenomenon of klitih. Thus, parenting styles have a significant influence in overcoming deviations in adolescents, especially in the context of the phenomenon of klitih. This research provides valuable insights for further understanding the relationship between parenting styles and adolescent deviance and provides a basis for more effective prevention efforts.]]>

<![CDATA[The National Counterterrorism Agency stated that there had been a decrease in terrorism cases by 89% in the last five years. Even though it is quite significant, efforts to prevent terrorism, especially preventing radicalism, must still be carried out. This is because there are indications of a change in approach from violence to a softer one. One area that needs special attention regarding the development of radicalism is Jakarta Province. The 2022 Radicalism Potential Index states that radicalism in DKI Jakarta has high potential. Efforts to strengthen the prevention of radicalism in Jakarta require massive community participation. This article discusses optimizing the role of the Jakarta Regional Leadership Ansor Youth Movement (GP Ansor) as a religion-based youth organization in preventing radicalism. The GP Ansor organization is a non-profit, religious-based youth organization that has adequate potential and resources to counter the development of radicalism. The method used in this paper is qualitative research in the nature of a literature study. The study begins with searching and collecting library sources, processing data and information, analyzing and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that there is an important role for the GP Ansor organization in preventing radicalism in Jakarta. This role needs to be optimized so that it can increase community participation in preventing radicalism in Jakarta. Optimization is carried out through improvements in several aspects of the organization which include facilities and infrastructure, budget and human resources.]]>
