In this study, the method used was a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The sample set was 61 people with inclusion criteria. A questionnaire based on the Maternal Breastfeeding Evaluation Scale (MBFES) and a questionnaire based on Family Support were used to collect data. The bivariate analysis technique with chi-square. The results of this study showed a p-value 0,000 that there is a relationship between family support and breastfeeding satisfaction in adolescent mothers. Breastfeeding satisfaction is influenced by family support because most adolescent mothers consult with their parents and husbands before deciding to breastfeed their children.

Abstract

Non-adherence in hypertensive patients is a serious challenge faced by health workers. The motivational interviewing (MI) is a patient-centered intervention and has been shown to change a person's compliance. The aim of this review is to investigate the impact of MI on adherence in hypertensive patients. This review was conducted on four databases, PubMed, Cinahl, Web of Science (WOS), and Scopus. Only randomized controlled trial (RCT) articles were used in this review, the quality assessment of the articles used the JBI critical appraisal tools, the selection and extraction of articles referred to the PRISMA guidelines. There were 5 articles that met the inclusion criteria. MI is applied with 2 methods, conventional and non-conventional. 2 articles showed an increase in medication adherence, 1 article showed adherence to dietary and physical activity recommendations, 1 article showed a change in smoking consumption patterns, and 4 articles showed a decrease in blood pressure in post-intervention hypertensive patients. MI can be an effective option in terms of improving hypertension adherence in the future. Although the evidence is currently validated, more research is needed to explore the evidence for the effectiveness of the combined MI method.

Abstract

Yogyakarta is a popular tourist destination in Indonesia, yet lactation rooms at public facilities are difficult to access and substandard. This will certainly have an impact on breastfeeding practices for mothers who travel through their daily activities in public areas. Researchers propose using "Ruang Sehati" lactation pods as a kind of wellness tourism in Yogyakarta. This study aims to determine participants' perceptions of the lactation pod. Descriptive analytical methods were used in this study. Twenty participants were involved with this purposive sampling technique. The study showed that lactation pod innovation is essential, including maintaining privacy, sufficient breastfeeding facilities, high accessibility, and place efficiency. This innovation is also a model that can be demonstrated nationally, thereby showing a portrait of wellness tourism in the city of Yogyakarta as an ideal tourist destination for mothers and children.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis is the most common disease of arthritis which is defined as chronic inflammation of the joints due to damage to the cartilage. The global prevalence of knee osteoarthritis is 3.8% and 0.85% of hip osteoarthritis. Meanwhile in Indonesia, based on the results of the 2018 Riskades, it showed that the prevalence of joint disease was recorded at around 7.3%. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of stretching the hamstring muscle groups on muscle flexibility and quality of life in osteoarthritis patients at the Kaliwungu Health Center. This research uses the quasy experiment with pretest and posttest with control group design. Statistical test of the effect of stretching the hamstring muscle groups on muscle flexibility in the group obtained p = 0.00. Statistical test of hamstring muscle stretching on quality of life obtained a p value of 0.00. Stretching the hamstring muscle group is a therapy to lengthen muscles that experience shortening or decreased muscle elasticity and flexibility due to both pathological and physiological factors. Increased muscle tone can affect the patient's quality of life. There is an effect of stretching the hamstring muscles on muscle flexibility and quality of life in patients with osteoarthritis at the Kaliwungu Health Center.

Abstract

In the last few decades, non-pharmacological therapy has been commonly used in the management of postoperative pain with the advantage of minimal side effects. Murottal Al-Quran therapy is a non-pharmacological therapy that can be used to treat pain. The application of non-pharmacological murottal Al-Quran therapy for post-operative pain has not yet been clarified. The aim of this literature is to analyze the effect of Al-Quran murottal therapy on patients with post-operative pain. The method used applies the Literature review method. Articles related to the effectiveness of Al-Quran murottal therapy in post-operative pain patients were summarized from the Science Direct and Google Scholar databases. Article searches were carried out using the PRISMA method with keyword searches: post-operative pain, Al-Quran murottal therapy, post and pre-intervention pain scale, and pain scale reduction. As a result of a total of 7 articles identified, women constituted the majority of respondents with an age range of 40-45 years and more than 60 years. The results of the review summarize 1 article using the Al-Kahf letter and 2 articles using the Ar-Rahman letter as a non-pharmacological intervention. Most articles explain that the intervention is implemented for 15 minutes using audio recording media. The Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) is used as a pain scale assessment method. All articles show a decrease in the postoperative pain scale after intervention (NRS pre-post intervention <0.05). In conclusion, Al-Quran murottal therapy is very effective as a non-pharmacological therapy in efforts to reduce the pain scale in post-operative patients.

Abstract

The new normal era brings people new habits, one of which is wearing masks. The particulate respirator N95 mask (N95 mask) is the mask with the highest filtration, but there are some complaints regarding its use, one of which is difficulty breathing. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using an N95 mask on oxygen saturation (SpO2), respiratory rate (RR) and pulse rate (PR). This study uses a convenience sampling technique with a sample size of 60 respondents. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre and post-test design. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test with p <0.0001, which means that there are differences in the results of SpO2, RR, and PR before and after using the N95 mask. Suggestions for health workers and policymakers in Indonesia to be able to apply the maximum hours of using N95 masks so that health workers avoid illness, disability, or discomfort which can maintain optimal performance.

Currently, diabetes mellitus is a prevalence in Indonesia, with a rate of 2.1% based on relevant diagnoses or symptoms. It is estimated that by 2030, the number of individuals suffering form diabetes mellitus will reach 21.3 million. Conversely, the proportion of individuals with prediabetes is 2-4 times higher than those with diabetes. Physical activity has been identified as a preventive measure for prediabetes. Several studies have demonstrated the significant impact of physical activity on glycemic control. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of different physical activities on glycemic control in prediabetic clients residing in Semarang municipality. A randomized control trials with a pretest-posttest design was conducted on 60 prediabetic clients using different treatments, including healthy/slow walking, brisk walking, and a combination of both slow and brisk walking. The data of the study were analyzed using univariate, and bivariate analysis using repeated ANOVA. All statistical analyses were carried out using SPSS version 22. The average level of glycemic control before intervention in the healthy walking group was 5.57%, which decreased to 5.46% after intervention. The combination group decreased from 5.93% to 5.78%, and the slowly walking group decreased from 5.74% to 5.71%. However, there was no significant effect of slowly walking on glycemic control (HbA1c levels). In contrast, brisk walking and the combination of slow walking and brisk walking had a significant effect on glycemic control (p<0.05). The combination of the physical activity group demonstrated the greatest impact on glycemic control (p<0.05).
