Abstract

Mathematics is an essential subject in elementary education, with integers playing a key role as the foundation for more complex mathematical concepts. However, many students struggle to understand integers, particularly negative numbers and their operations. This study aims to analyze how prospective elementary school teachers represent the concept of integers and develop effective teaching strategies. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving 12 prospective teachers divided into three groups based on their understanding of integers. The primary instrument used was the modified Content Representation (CoRe) to evaluate how these prospective teachers represent and teach integers. The results indicate that most prospective teachers have a good grasp of basic integer concepts and frequently use number lines as a visual aid. However, some teachers still face difficulties in explaining negative numbers and their operations. The use of technology, such as interactive applications and educational videos, was recognized as an effective strategy for improving students' understanding. This study concludes that developing pedagogical skills in prospective teachers, particularly in teaching integers, is crucial to enhancing the quality of mathematics instruction at the elementary level.

Abstract

The numeracy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia remain low, as reflected in national and international assessments. Conventional teaching methods are ineffective in improving numeracy skills, necessitating a more interactive and engaging approach. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of mobile game-based learning in facilitating numeracy education. Using a quasi-experimental design, the study involved two groups of third-grade students: an experimental group using mobile games and a control group using PowerPoint. Data were collected through numeracy tests covering number relations, arithmetic operations, and counting. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in numeracy skills compared to the control group, with a p-value of 0.043. These findings suggest that mobile game-based learning is more effective, interactive, and flexible in enhancing students' numeracy skills. The study recommends mobile games as an innovative alternative learning medium in elementary education.

Abstract

Etymologically, drugs or narcotics come from the English word narcose or narcosis which means to put to sleep and anesthesia. What is meant by Narcotics in Law No. 35 of 2009 is a substance or drug derived from plants or non-plants, both synthetic and semi-synthetic, which can cause a decrease or change in consciousness, loss of feeling, reduce to eliminate pain, and can cause dependence. From data obtained from Tebing Tinggi City Prison, there is an interesting trend in the number of drug cases during the last 5 months at the end of the year and the beginning of 2024. It can be seen that the number of inmates and detainees tends to vary every month. In January, the number of inmates was recorded at 995 people and the number of detainees was 232 people. However, in February, although the number of inmates was the same as the previous month (995 people), the number of detainees increased significantly to 263 people. Then, there was an increase in the number of prisoners in September (1027 people), but the number of detainees remained relatively stable (222 people) The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, namely data in the form of descriptions of words or attachments to be collected and then analyzed descriptively. Descriptive qualitative research is a study that describes situations and events (Nurdiansyah and Rugoyah 2021) As an institution that has the main task of Preventing the Eradication of Narcotics Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in Tebing Tinggi City, the Tebing Tinggi City National Narcotics Agency must be able to provide guarantees to every community to carry out the duties and functions of the Tebing Tinggi City BNN as regulated by law. Combating illicit trafficking and abuse of narcotics can be achieved through various government strategies and policies which are then implemented comprehensively and simultaneously by relevant officials in collaboration with anti-drug community components. The strategies for combating illicit drug trafficking and abuse include Demand Reduction, Supply Control, and Harm Reduction. Essentially, drug abuse has reached all levels of society. It begins with curiosity, then trial, and then addiction, leading to repeated attempts. This is where the role of the Tebing Tinggi City National Narcotics Agency (BNN) is crucial, along with the Prevention, Eradication, and Eradication of Narcotics Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN). In this effort, the BNN conducts outreach to various levels of society, especially children and students, as early prevention is essential for them to grow into intelligent future generations.

Abstract

Subsidized fuel is often purchased using jerry cans at gas stations and resold to vehicle users at prices much higher than the price set by the Government. This is not permitted without a specific permit, as regulated in Presidential Decree No. 117 of 2021 concerning Retail Selling Prices and Consumers Using Certain Types of Fuel Oil. The purpose of this study is why the government prohibits the sale of subsidized fuel using jerry cans, then and what is the effect of the ban on the sale of subsidized fuel using jerry cans at gas stations. What is the perspective of Presidential Decree No. 117 of 2021 and Sadd Adz-dzari'ah regarding the prohibition on the sale of subsidized fuel using jerry cans. This type of research is normative juridical, with data collected through document studies and then processed using qualitative methods. The results of the study indicate that the reason the government prohibits the public from purchasing subsidized fuel using containers that do not comply with standards is because it can cause negative impacts such as flammability, environmental pollution and fuel hoarding. Presidential Decree No. Law No. 117 of 2021 concerning the prohibition on the sale of subsidized fuel using containers that do not meet regulatory standards aligns with the concept of Sadd Adz-dzari'ah, where the government implements the ban from a Sadd Adz-dzari'ah perspective. Sadd Adz-dzari'ah emphasizes the importance of preventing actions that could be detrimental or dangerous, even if they appear to be beneficial.

Abstract

The execution of court decisions in corruption cases falls under the authority of prosecutors as regulated in Article 270 of the Indonesian Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). Prosecutors act both as public prosecutors and as executors of court rulings that have obtained permanent legal force. This study aims to analyze the authority of prosecutors in executing corruption cases, to identify the challenges encountered, and to formulate effective countermeasures. The research employs an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach, combining normative analysis and field data to achieve a comprehensive understanding. The findings indicate that prosecutors play a central role in the execution process, including the enforcement of additional criminal sanctions. However, execution is often hindered by regulatory disharmony, the absence of standardized SOPs, limited inter-agency coordination, as well as social and political pressures. Therefore, strengthening prosecutorial professionalism, establishing clear SOPs, enhancing cross-institutional coordination, providing legal protection for prosecutors, and fostering public involvement in oversight are necessary. These efforts are expected to improve the effectiveness of execution, ensure legal certainty, and enhance public trust in the judicial system for corruption cases.

Abstract

In comprehending and elucidating the meaning of the Qur’an, an exegete cannot entirely detach themselves from the accumulated knowledge and interpretive methodologies that have previously evolved. Consequently, new interpretations consistently represent a dialogue with and an elaboration of the existing corpus of tafsir, rather than being solely a product of independent thought. Based on this premise, this research investigates the correlation between Tafsir Al-Ibriz and Tafsir Al-Mubarak. The study addresses two primary research questions. First, what is the correlation between Tafsir Al-Ibriz by K.H Bisri Mustofa and Tafsir Al-Mubarak by K.H Taufiqul Hakim. Second, in which section in the Tafsir Al-Mubarak are influenced by Tafsir Al-Ibriz. This study employs a qualitative methodology and is categorized as library reseacrh by utilizing Karl Mannheim’s sociology of knowledge theory, specially focusing on ‘behavior and meaning’ as its analitycal framework. The findings indicate a significant correlation between Tafsir Al-Ibriz and Tafsir Al-Mubarak. A prominent aspect of this correlation is the use of Javanese language in both exegitical works. This reflect the exegetes strategy to adapt the material, making it relevant and accesible to local audiences residing in their respective regions. Furthermore, in depth observation reveals that several sections of Tafsir Mubarak exhibit a strong dominance from Tafsir Al-Ibriz.

Abstract

Rape is a serious crime that causes physical harm and deep psychological trauma to the victim. One of the main challenges in law enforcement is proof, as it often occurs without witnesses. This study aims to analyze the legal evidence of Visum et Repertum (VeR), its relation to the legality of abortion for victims, and the legal protection for doctors performing conditional abortion in Indonesia. Using a normative juridical method, the study finds that VeR is crucial as scientific evidence and an administrative requirement for conditional abortion, while also protecting victims’ rights. Practical challenges include limited forensic personnel, examination costs, social stigma, and insufficient legal protection for medical practitioners. Legal uncertainties create doubts in implementing conditional abortion. The study emphasizes improving VeR quality, raising awareness of victims’ rights, and strengthening legal protection for doctors to ensure justice and legal certainty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy and acceptance of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf)'s green tourism communication policy in building digital ecotourism awareness in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a constructivist paradigm, this study combines data from policy documents, digital observations through Brand24, and in-depth interviews with policy actors, academics, and ecotourism practitioners. The results show that Kemenparekraf's digital communication strategy through campaigns such as #TravelResponsibly, Green Parekraf, and Green Tourism Training has successfully transformed government communication patterns to be more participatory and interactive. Public acceptance of this policy tends to be positive, where the public is not only a recipient of messages, but also participates in producing content and creatively articulating the meaning of sustainability in the digital space. These findings are examined through the perspectives of Innovation Diffusion Theory and the Sustainable Communication Model, which emphasize the importance of two-way communication in the adoption of sustainability values. This research contributes to strengthening the discourse on digital environmental communication by positioning green tourism as a collaborative social movement that builds eco-conscious digital citizenship in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the legal aspects of the Constitutional Court (MK) Decision No. 90/PUU-XXI/2023, focusing on legal discovery, the age limit for presidential and vice-presidential candidates, and the legal consequences of the ruling. The research employs a normative juridical approach with a descriptive-analytical method, using statutory and case approaches and secondary data sources, including primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The findings indicate that the MK ruling introduces new norms, positioning the Court as a positive legislature, with a ne ultra petita decision consistent with judicial authority principles. The minimum age limit of 40 years for candidates remains reasonable compared to global leadership trends (20–50 years). The principles of intergenerational and equality justice, as mandated by Pancasila’s fifth principle, have been implemented since the 2024 election by allowing experienced young public officials to participate. The MK decision is final and binding, and must be accommodated by Parliament in forming or amending legislation, reaffirming the MK’s role as the guardian and ultimate interpreter of the constitution

Abstract

This study examines the interpretation of the Qur'an on domestic violence by husbands through a comparative study of the views of al-Ṭabarī and Sayyid Quṭb on QS. al-Nisā’ [4]:19 and [4]:34. The background of this study is based on the rise of domestic violence (KDRT) which is often rooted in textual understanding and patriarchal bias towards the verses of the Qur'an, especially regarding the concepts of qawwāmūn and daraba. In this context, the Qur'an actually emphasizes the values of sakinah, mawaddah, and raḥmah as the foundation of an ideal family that is just, equal, and free from violence. This study aims to clarify the relationship between sacred texts, interpretations, and social practices in efforts to prevent domestic violence by exploring how the two commentators interpret the key concepts of qawwāmūn, nushūz, and daraba along with their ethical and normative implications for family life. The research method uses a qualitative approach based on library research with a comparative-thematic analysis model (mawḍū‘ī). The results show that both commentators reject domestic violence and emphasize the family as a spiritual and moral institution based on justice and compassion. Al-Ṭabarī presents a legal-normative framework by interpreting qiwāmah as a mandate of responsibility limited by ma‘rūf and emphasizing the discipline of worship and justice in household relations. Meanwhile, Sayyid Quṭb emphasizes the ethical-spiritual horizon, interpreting qiwāmah as a mandate of service and mu‘āsyarah bil-ma‘rūf as an anti-violence principle that fosters mercy. Both are combined in the Qur'anic vision that makes the family the center of civilization and a space for the actualization of divine values in human relations. The novelty of this research lies in the effort to integrate classical and modern interpretations into the maqāṣidī interpretation paradigm which emphasizes the values of mercy, justice, and humanity as the foundation for forming a harmonious family free from violence.
