Abstract

The implementation of good governance is the goal of every government administrator, including in village government. An important aspect in realizing good governance is the existence of openness or transparency of the government to the community as regulated in Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages. Good governance itself is a system of policy and institutional values that prioritizes openness. In line with that, based on the results of the study, the implementation of the principle of openness in Sukaraja Village has begun to be implemented, especially in terms of delivering development information and village financial management. However, there are still several obstacles such as lack of community participation and the lack of use of social media, these obstacles become challenges for the village government in implementing the principle of openness to realize good governance village government. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type with data collection techniques namely observation, interviews and documentation. In order to reduce misunderstandings from the community towards the Sukaraja village government, it is necessary to implement the principle of openness to realize good governance village government.

Abstract

This study measures the relationship between self-concept and communication anxiety in students by collecting research to find the results of problems that exist on campus and the current campus environment. The primary approach in this research is quantitative. The data to be processed quantitatively in this study comes from a questionnaire. The questionnaire method is divided into a subject identity checklist, the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale, and a communication anxiety scale. A sample of 100 students was drawn based on non-randomly selected majors at Pancasila University: Economics, Law, Psychology, Communication, and Pharmacy. Twenty students were selected from each major. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling, namely the side quota technique. There was no significant relationship between self-concept and communication anxiety in students. The results showed an r value of 0.094, which is not significant at α = 0.05. This means there is no correlation between self-concept and communication anxiety. Thus, the null hypothesis (H0) is accepted.

Abstract

This article examines the legal protection boundaries of software within the intellectual property system, particularly focusing on the ambiguity between copyright and patent regimes. The main issue addressed is whether software with technical functions should be protected solely through patents or whether copyright is sufficient, considering the dual nature of software as both an expressive work and a technological tool. Using a normative legal approach, this study analyzes the national legal framework and compares it with other jurisdictions. The research findings indicate that dual protection without clear boundaries may lead to legal uncertainty, especially for software industry players who require clarity regarding their exclusive rights. Therefore, a more assertive and harmonized legal policy formulation is needed to ensure optimal protection of software in both its creative and functional aspects.

Abstract

Rimpu is a traditional attire of Mbojo women, characterized by the use of sarongs in which one is wrapped around the body and the other is looped over the head, leaving only the face visible, symbolizing modesty and religious values. This study aims to identify efforts in revitalizing the Rimpu tradition, analyze its connection to the cultivation of religious values, and examine the factors influencing this relationship. The study employs a qualitative approach using ethnographic methods, focusing on describing the cultural meaning within the Mbojo community. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the revitalization of the Rimpu tradition is carried out through activities such as Village Competitions and the Rimpu Mantika Festival. Rimpu is closely related to religious values through its function as a means of covering the aurat and as a medium for moral education. Internal factors such as community awareness and external factors such as government support influence the sustainability of religious values within the tradition. These findings highlight the importance of preserving Rimpu as a medium for strengthening cultural identity and fostering religious character in society.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of vocational education policy at Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Gondanglegi, Malang. The research is significant due to unemployment issues and the mismatch between education and the job market, which highlight a weak vocational policy implementation within the unique and under-researched context of pesantren. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and then validated with source triangulation. The data analysis followed an interactive model, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that the school's Community Vocational Training Center (VTC) focuses on Visual Communication Design (VCD). This specialization is strategic, as it is highly relevant and supported by competent internal staff. The curriculum emphasizes mastering Corel Draw software, with graduation standards based on project completion. Graduates further develop skills through external internships. However, this VTC faces challenges like inadequate operational funding, a lack of supervision, and structural management issues. To address these, the management plans to reorganize its administration and forge new partnerships to more effectively place graduates in the workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in shaping the religious character of elementary school-aged children in Dusun Ngayung, Sumberagung Village, Plumpang Sub-district, Tuban Regency, particularly in the context of challenges brought by the digital era. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that while religious education institutions such as TPQ (Qur'anic learning centers) exist and function in the community, parental involvement plays a more crucial role in embedding religious values. However, many parents have not yet consistently guided their children in religious practice, often due to limited time, low digital literacy, and a tendency to rely solely on formal or non-formal education. The study also found that excessive and unsupervised use of digital media by children tends to weaken their interest and engagement in religious activities. Some parents have made positive efforts by limiting screen time, encouraging daily prayers, and being role models at home, but these practices remain limited in scope. The study concludes that collaborative efforts between parents, educational institutions, and the wider community are essential to foster religious character in children, especially in balancing technological advancement with spiritual development.

Abstract

The role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers is crucial in shaping students’ character, as they not only serve as central figures but also bear the primary responsibility of educating, teaching, guiding, and training students to become faithful, God-fearing, knowledgeable, virtuous, and responsible individuals. Moral strengthening is the core focus of Islamic education, which requires a deep understanding of character and moral values as well as the application of appropriate strategies and methods to foster positive character development. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research to identify the role of Islamic Education teachers in character formation and to analyze their efforts in reinforcing moral values. The findings reveal that PAI teachers act as role models in instilling religious values and moral understanding, while also guiding students to develop social awareness, empathy, and good conduct. Consequently, moral strengthening is considered a strategic solution to address the ongoing moral crisis, particularly in Indonesia.

Abstract

Most people use investment as a way to manage and maintain their assets so that they can grow and obtain long-term profits. Rahmawati explains that investment itself means the activity of investing capital to obtain a profit. The purpose of this study is to analyze the interest of millennials and Gen Z in using BSI gold credit services as a future savings investment. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method that focuses on primary and secondary data sources. The results show that the level of understanding of Millennials and Gen Z towards BSI Gold Credit products is still in the early stages (early awareness). This is due to low Islamic financial literacy, the complexity of products that have not been well socialized, and the lack of digital exposure that suits the characteristics of young media. The interest of Millennials and Gen Z in BSI Gold Credit products is influenced by a combination of factors, including financial literacy, ease of digital access, Islamic principles, editing flexibility, financial goals, social influence, and trust in institutions. The main obstacles faced by the younger generation in accessing BSI Gold Credit include low Islamic financial literacy, lack of promotion on social media, limited application features, doubts about the margin system, misconceptions about credit, and the perception that the process is complicated or not digital. To increase adoption, BSI needs to improve its communication, education, and digitization of its services in line with the media consumption patterns and financial behavior of Gen Z and Millennials.
