Abstract

This study focuses on the challenge of low user behavioral intention towards the SIGNAL app, which is an important issue in digital technology adoption. To investigate this issue, research was conducted using a comprehensive framework integrating TAM and TPB methods, with six hypotheses proposed. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression on questionnaires completed by a sample of SIGNAL users. The results of the analysis showed a significant relationship between perceived usefulness and ease of use and users' attitude towards the app, as well as a strong relationship between users' attitude and behavioral intention to use the app. These findings signify that the more users perceive tangible benefits and ease of use of the app, the more positive their attitude, which in turn drives SIGNAL's adoption intention. However, several hypotheses were not supported by the results of the analysis, including the absence of significant relationships between perceived benefits and users' behavioral intentions, as well as between subjective norms and behavioral intentions. This suggests that although users realize the benefits of the app, social factors and perceived individual control are not significant in determining usage intentions. The implications of these findings provide guidance for digital platform developers to design more effective interventions to increase the use of SIGNAL, as well as facilitate behavior change in the community.

Abstract

This study evaluates the acceptance of an e-catalog application system for construction service procurement in government using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. The use of e-catalogs in procurement offers substantial benefits, including increased transparency, efficiency, and accountability. This research aims to identify factors influencing user acceptance of e-catalogs through an explanatory quantitative approach. This research uses an explanatory quantitative method, A sample of 100 respondents was selected using accidental sampling, and data were gathered through questionnaires, analyzed via Partial Least Square (PLS) to evaluate relationships between variables. Findings reveal that Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, and Habit significantly impact Use Behavior, while Behavioral Intention is influenced by Facilitating Conditions and Effort Expectancy. Meanwhile, Performance Expectancy, Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, and Price Value show no significant impact on Behavioral Intention or Use Behavior. The conclusions indicate that ease of use and environmental support are key factors in promoting e-catalog usage.

Abstract

Students organizations (UKM) in data administration still uses Google forms and manuals by coming directly to the student affairs room to submit proposals and activity reports. This has an impact on the administration process taking a long time, high error rates, and less effective work. Data that is difficult to combine from forms and manually. Student Affairs also wants all UKM data administration to be system-based so that the data search process is easier and integrated with each other. Therefore, all data administration systems are needed for SMEs so that the problems that have occurred so far can be resolved. The aim of creating an administrative information system (SI ADMIN) is to make it easier for UKM administrators to carry out activities and carry out work programs that have been created. This system will later be integrated with the main student affairs website, which includes several sections such as alumni study tracer, graduate user tracer, job vacancy information and others. The stages in working on SI ADMIN use the extrame programming method. An administrative information system has been successfully created so that existing problems regarding SME administrative management have been successfully resolved. This system has also been tested directly by UKM and student affairs as admin. Based on the tests carried out, it can be concluded that the scenarios tested are in accordance with the expected results.

Abstract

Universitas Amikom Purwokerto has not yet implemented a system for the procurement of facilities and assets, inventory, maintenance, supervision, and evaluation processes. All this time, we have been using a letter of request for goods from one division to another and carrying out other processes manually. Therefore, the process of item requisition and inventory requires the development of an inventory system. This research aims to develop a web-based inventory system using the CodeIgnite framework, while the system development method employs Extreme Programming (XP). The results of the research indicate that the use of the CodeIgnite framework and the Extreme Programming method can be utilized for the development of the inventory system at Universitas Amikom Purwokerto, which is used to manage the process of goods requisition and inventory. After conducting black box testing, it was concluded that all system features have been tested, and the results show that the system can operate according to the planning made during the planning stage.

Abstract

Education is an important foundation in shaping the character and potential of the younger generation. Some issues that arise in the world of education include cases of violence, bullying, inappropriate behavior, or other problems that disrupt students' comfort at school. SMK Al- Huda Bumiayu, as an educational institution, has a moral and legal responsibility to protect students from all forms of violence, including bullying and inappropriate behavior. The handling so far, in case of violence, can be done by contacting the guidance counselor via WhatsApp or through the suggestion or complaint box for students. Through these two media, a problem arises regarding the data on incidents of violence occurring in the school, which is not well-documented because it is often not recorded in the logbook and the focus is on resolving existing problems. Additionally, the progress of handling these issues is also unknown, making it difficult for the principal to make policies related to handling violence in the school. The objective of this research is to develop a web-based student complaint system using the prototyping method to facilitate the reporting of violence by students in the environment of SMK Al-Huda Bumiayu. The results of this research conclude that the prototyping method can be used to create a violence reporting system for students at SMK Al-Huda Bumiayu and assist students in reporting violence they have experienced or witnessed.

Abstract

A higher education institution's website allows lecturers and students to search for necessary information online. Good web performance is essential to provide better service to users. This research focuses on analyzing and testing the performance of a university website to maximize its efficiency. Performance testing measures a website's effectiveness. In this study, we analyze the website of Universitas Terbuka (UT), known for its distance learning system. The goal is to assess the website’s performance using testing tools like GTMetrix and Pingdom, which automatically analyze web performance. These tools provide data on the website's performance, which is then processed into information about strengths, weaknesses, and potential solutions. The outcome includes a comparison of performance metrics from GTMetrix and Pingdom. This research contributes to evaluating UT’s website performance and offers insights to help developers enhance and optimize the application to the desired level.

Abstract

Academic website is a technology that can help students obtain information about lectures. The Satya Wacana Academic Information System is an academic website used by Satya Wacana Christian University. Becoming an educational institution with high competitiveness in the quality of science and technology is the vision and mission upheld by UKSW. SIASAT is expected to help UKSW students to compete. Some of the issues complained about by the students is that SIASAT inability to keep up with technological advancements, lack of responsiveness, need for updates, and performance improvements. Therefore, the researchers proposed a solution to redesign the SIASAT website using the design thinking method. The design thinking method was chosen because it focuses on identifying user problems and providing solutions. Design thinking has five stages including Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing. In the testing stage, UKSW students were given a questionnaire using the System Usability Scale method to assess the feasibility of the redesign, resulting in a "Good" category with a Grade Scale of "B".

Abstract

In the digital age, mobile applications have become an integral part of everyday life, making usability testing an essential factor in ensuring a seamless user experience. Traditional usability testing methods often demand considerable resources, including time and cost, which calls for more efficient and automated alternatives. This study explores the use of sentiment analysis as an innovative approach to evaluate the usability of mobile applications. By analyzing user reviews from the Google Play Store, the research compares the effectiveness of four machine learning algorithms—Support Vector Machine (SVM), Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, and Random Forest—in classifying sentiment and evaluating usability. A dataset consisting of 2,000 reviews from a banking app was collected and labeled based on usability criteria, such as efficiency, user satisfaction, learnability, memorability, and error rates. The feature extraction process utilized Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) to enhance the relevance of the review texts for sentiment analysis. The findings reveal that Random Forest achieved the highest accuracy (68.15%) and demonstrated the best performance in terms of F1 Score, precision, and recall, although it had the longest processing time. In contrast, Naive Bayes, while the fastest, showed lower accuracy and F1 Score, making it suitable for applications with large datasets or limited processing time. Decision Tree and SVM offered a balanced trade-off between speed and accuracy. The study concludes that Random Forest is the preferred choice when high accuracy and prediction performance are crucial, despite its longer processing time. Meanwhile, Naive Bayes is more appropriate for scenarios demanding rapid data processing, and SVM and Decision Tree are recommended when a balance between speed and accuracy is needed.

Abstract

The Open University Business Center has duties and functions that focus on the management and development of business units that support the operations and financial sustainability of the Open University. One of the policies handled is the selection of catering vendors used at every event in the Open University environment. Selecting the right catering vendor is a crucial factor in ensuring customer quality and satisfaction. There are 12 catering vendors who are partners of the Open University Business Center which are usually only assessed based on the presentation and quality of the food (Taste). In fact, besides these 2 criteria, there are still several other criteria that must be considered such as Punctuality, interest and vendor experience (administration). The SAW method was chosen because of its ability to carry out multi-criteria assessments simply and efficiently. Of the 12 catering vendors who collaborate with the Open University Business Center, a ranking will be given where the vendor with the highest score is considered most appropriate to the needs of the Open University Business Center. With this Decision Support System, it is hoped that the catering vendor selection process can be carried out objectively, transparently and faster so as to support better decision making at the Open University Business Center.
