<![CDATA[This research was concerned with the inquiry on the correlation among learning motivation, parents’ involvement and speaking achievement of the fourth-grade pupil at Palembang Paramount School. The population of this study was 327, the sample was 38 taken by using purposive sampling. Data were collected by adopting a questionnaire for learning motivation and parents’ involvement, and test for speaking achievement. Data were analyzed by using r-Product Moment and Multiple Regression. Findings show that there were correlations among learning motivation, parents’ involvement, and speaking achievement. The data analysis shows that R_yx1x2 = 0.682 with r2 = 0.465 and the criteria of the sig-test was F_count(15.183) > F_table (3.270). therefore, the alternative hypothesis Ha was accepted while the null hypothesis Ho was rejected. Conclusions suggested that there were significant correlations among learning motivation, parents’ involvement and speaking achievement of the fourth-grade pupils at Palembang Paramount School.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to identify and describe the implementation of character education in developing students at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a phenomenological study approach. Sources of data were obtained from the principal, deputy principal of the IMTAQ school, teachers and students. Data collectionused was observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of character education in developing students at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang was integrated into imtaq activities, namely online morning tausiah, online men and women’s affairs activities, which achieved good results. Success can be seen from the attitudes and behavior of students as reflected on the results of the observation sheet in the form of religious attitudes, honesty, discipline and independence. The average achievement score of students' answers on the behavior "Becoming a Habit, or Cultured" is 69%, the scores of students on the "Starting to Develop" behavior are 30%, while the scores of students on the behavior "Starting to be seen" are 8% and "Not Seen" 0 %.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the cultural and educational values ??in the KembaraRindunovel by Habiburrahman El Shirazy and the AnakRantau novel by A. Fuadi. The method used is the descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it is illustrated that in the two novels studied there are cultural values ??which include: (1) cultural values ??in human relations with God, (2) cultural values ??in human relations with nature, (3) cultural values ??in human relations with society, (4) cultural values ??in human relations with human, and (5) cultural values ??in human relations with oneself. The educational values ??contained in the two novels are (1) the value of religious education, (2) the value of moral education, (3) the value of social education, and (4) the value of cultural education. Therefore, the study of cultural values ??and educational values ??in the novel contains an overview through characters and characterizations.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of three variables which include the influence of the principal's leadership style and job satisfaction on teacher performance. This research is a type of quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 90 people who came from a number of public elementary schools in the District of Sosoh Buay Rayap. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used inferential statistics which included normality, homogeneity, linearity, simple linear correlation test, multiple correlation test, T test, and f test. The results of this study are (1) principal leadership style has a positive effect on teacher job satisfaction, (2) job satisfaction has a positive effect on teacher performance, and (3) principal leadership style and job satisfaction simultaneously have a positive effect on teacher performance.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to increase learning activities and writing poetry by using a contextual approach to class VIIIA students of SMP Negeri 23 OKU. The method used is the descriptive quantitative method. Data in the form of poetry writing tests are classified as quantitative data and data in the form of observations are classified as qualitative data. Based on the results of data analysis of student learning outcomes applied in writing poetry using a contextual approach, it was found that the increase in student learning activities in cycle I was 65.45%, cycle II was 81.21%, and cycle III was 96.36%. The activities of implementing contextual learning in cycle I am effective categories, cycle II are effective categories, and cycle III are very effective categories. The learning activities carried out by the teacher were based on observer observations, namely cycle I was 75.65%, cycle II was 80% and cycle III was 96.25%. The improvement also occurred in the results of writing poetry that had been done by students through the test, namely the pre-cycle average score of 60.45; cycle I average value of 67.73; cycle II the average value of 73.73; and cycle III with an average value of 80.09. The number of students and the percentage of completeness is in the pre-cycle a number of 8 students with a percentage of 24.24%; cycle I a number of 21 students with a percentage of 63.64%; cycle II a total of 26 students with a percentage of 78.79%; and the third cycle of 33 students with a percentage of 100%. Thus, the use of a contextual approach to learning to write poetry can increase the activity and learning outcomes of class VIIIA students of SMP Negeri 23 OKU.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to identify and describe: 1). academic supervision of teacher professionalism; 2) the influence of the principal's leadership on teacher professionalism, 3) the influence of academic supervision and the leadership of the principal on teacher professionalism. This research uses the descriptive quantitative method. The population in this study were 47 teachers at SMP Negeri Sinar Peninjauan District. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression formulas and multiple linear regression. The results showed that: 1) There was a significant effect of academic supervision on professionalism; 2) There is a significant influence of principal leadership on teacher professionalism; 3) There is a significant effect of academic supervision and principal leadership on teacher professionalism. The magnitude of the influence of academic supervision and principal leadership together on teacher professionalism is 73.2% and the remaining 26.9% is influenced by other factors.]]>
