Abstract

For organizations employing Generation Z workers, designing meaningful, feedback-rich, and skill enhancing jobs can strengthen organizational commitment and promote voluntary extra-role behavior. Managers should prioritize job design and employee engagement programs to foster higher OCB levels and organizational effectiveness.. This study aims to examine the effect of job characteristics on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among Generation Z employees in Makassar City, as well as the mediating role of organizational commitment in this relationship. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM.. Data were collected through purposive sampling from 120 Generation Z employees. The results indicate that job characteristics positively and significantly influence both organizational commitment and OCB. Organizational commitment also has a positive and significant effect on OCB. Furthermore, organizational commitment partially mediates the relationship between job characteristics and OCB, although the magnitude of mediation is relatively weak. The model demonstrates substantial predictive power for OCB and moderate predictive power for organizational commitment.

Abstract

This study investigated the role of gamification in fostering Customer Citizenship Behavior (CCB) within the digital coffee shop ecosystem in Malang City, East Java. The objective was to examine how gamification influenced CCB through perceived enjoyment and customer engagement, while digital literacy acted as a moderating variable. A quantitative research design was applied, and data were collected from 245 coffee enthusiasts who had experience using mobile applications integrated with gamified loyalty systems such as Fore Coffee and Kopi Kenangan. Structured questionnaires were distributed both online and offline, and responses were measured using a five-point Likert scale. The constructs included gamification, digital literacy, perceived enjoyment, customer engagement, and CCB. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), which tested direct, indirect, and sequential mediation effects, as well as moderation. The findings showed that gamification did not directly affect CCB but significantly enhanced perceived enjoyment, which subsequently increased customer engagement. Engagement emerged as the strongest predictor of CCB, confirming its role as a critical pathway for voluntary customer contributions. Digital literacy moderated the relationship between gamification and perceived enjoyment, indicating that user characteristics shaped how customers responded to gamified features.

Abstract

This bibliometric review systematically mapped the intellectual landscape of innovation management research as indexed in the Scopus database from 2005 to 2025. The study's overarching purpose was to provide comprehensive, objective, and timely insights into the field's evolution by identifying growth trajectories, influential entities, dominant thematic clusters, and collaboration dynamics1. Employing a quantitative bibliometric design, data was meticulously collected from 2170 journal articles, adhering to PRISMA guidelines and analysed using Bibliophagy-R web based. Key findings revealed a rapidly expanding research domain with a 26.49% annual growth rate and an average of 16.12 citations per document.  Sustainability (Switzerland) emerged as the most prolific source, reflecting a strong convergence of innovation with sustainability. East Asian scholars, particularly those with Chinese surnames, were highly productive, dominating author contribution lists and forming extensive collaborative networks. The analysis of highly cited documents further underscored the impact of sustainability-focused innovation research. International collaboration, particularly involving China, North America, and Europe, was substantial, accounting for over a quarter of co-authored works. This study illuminates the dynamic progression of innovation management, offering a structured overview crucial for shaping future research agendas responsive to contemporary global challenges.
