Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini Undiksha is an open access peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Jurusan Pendidikan Dasar Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. The journal publishes different kinds of scientific articles based on the field research and program in the area of early childhood education. We received only articles relating to early childhood education fields, and can be written using quantitative or qualitative approaches. Articles can be made in a variety of research designs, such as action research, experiments, and case studies. This journal was published since 2012, and from 2016 we published articles three times a year (April, August, and December).

Abstract

Someone with good financial literacy can manage personal finances, which will eventually get prosperity. This research seeks to understand the relationship pattern of parents' financial socialization behavior in early childhood education. For this reason, two main variables are used: the parents' current financial literacy and parenting style. Respondents are parents who have children aged 6 to 8 years. Three hundred eighty-six samples were taken using online and offline survey methods through a self-administered questionnaire. Data collection in the study was carried out using a non-test method in the form of parental financial literacy questionnaire sheets, parenting styles, and parental financial socialization. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis to get an overview of the respondent's profile. A simple regression analysis was followed by analyzing the relationship between financial literacy and parenting variables separately with financial socialization. Then the final stage is to test the third hypothesis using multiple regression analysis. The results of the data analysis show that the standard beta coefficient value is 0.508 for the financial literacy variable and 0.283 for the parenting style variable. The results of this analysis indicate a significant relationship between financial literacy and parenting style with the financial socialization parents provide to early childhood.

Abstract

Growing a caring attitude is carried out during the learning process by using media in comics that are integrated with the local culture of tumpek wariga. This research aims to test the effectiveness of the local culture-integrated comic media tumpek wariga to increase awareness of the environment in early childhood. This research belongs to the type of development research using the 4-D development model. The subjects in this study were two education experts, two practitioners, six lecturers, 40 teachers, and 30 early childhood children. Data collection uses a non-test method with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed by construct validity test using the Gregory formula. Comic effectiveness data is measured based on the achievement of comic goals that have been developed, using a one-variable t-test formula with one right-side direction. The data analysis results show that expert validation results are valid. The practicality of comic media due to the lecturer's response to the implementation of comics is very practical in affective aspects, interactive aspects, interesting, efficient, and creative. The results of the teacher's response to the module's implementation are practical in the effective, interactive, interesting, efficient, and creative aspects. Applying local culture-integrated comics, tumpek wariga affects children's concern for the environment. Based on these results, it can be concluded that applying local culture-integrated comics, tumpek wariga, increases children's concern for the environment.

Abstract

Language development still applies conventional learning without using learning media such as interactive learning multimedia. So this study aims to develop thematic-based interactive learning multimedia in early childhood language development. This research belongs to the type of ADDIE development model development research. The subjects involved in this study were material experts, media experts, and 83 early childhood children—data collection using the method of observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research instrument used was the validity sheet. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using a descriptive presentation analysis with a questionnaire to experts to test the feasibility and analysis of the data to test the effectiveness of using the Normalized Gain test (N-gain score). The results of the data analysis show that the product feasibility test, with a percentage of 93.47% by material experts and 85.71% by media experts, is included in the very feasible category. The effectiveness test results have met the effective category seen from the acquisition of the average value according to the calculation of the N-Gain score. It was concluded that thematic-based interactive learning multimedia is valid and feasible to develop because it can maximize children's language development.

Abstract

Nutritional problems become a complex problem for children. This study aims to provide an in-depth description and analysis of parents' understanding of fulfilling balanced nutrition through preparing lunch boxes for group B children. This type of research is a case study qualitative research. The subjects in this study were the school principal, homeroom teacher in class B-1, homeroom teacher in class B-2, and parents. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data triangulation techniques. Based on the results of data analysis, several findings were obtained in this study. First, the contents of the children's lunch box used healthy and nutritious food, but different from the balanced nutritional standards needed by children. Both parents' understanding of balanced nutrition is quite good. It can be seen in parents’ awareness of preparing their children's lunch. Third, the role of schools is very good in supporting the development and introduction of nutrition for parents and children. From these three findings, it can be concluded that children's lunch boxes contain healthy and nutritious food. It is related to the level of parents’ understanding and good support from schools regarding the development and introduction of nutrition for children.

Abstract

Science process skills include observing, classifying, comparing, measuring, communicating, and experimenting. Not all students can master science process skills well, so it is necessary to apply appropriate learning methods to improve students' science process skills. This study aimed to determine the PAKEM learning model's effect on group B children's science process skills. The type of research carried out was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is 80 people. The sample in this study, the experimental group, consisted of 25 people, while the control group consisted of 28 people. Data on the results of science process skills were collected using an instrument in the form of an observation sheet. It was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques (t-test). The descriptive analysis results obtained that the experimental group's average score was greater than the average score of the control group. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the PAKEM learning model on the science process skills of group B children.

Abstract

Kemampuan HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) belum berkembang secara optimal karena metode yang digunakan kurang tepat sehingga anak tidak dapat mengembangkan kemampuan HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh eksperimen sains menggunakan Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) kelompok usia 5 sampai 6 tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode quasi eksperimen yang menggunakan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design yaitu desain yang hampir sama dengan desain pretest-posttest kontrol group design dimana pengambilan sampel ditentukan secara acak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa eksperimen sains dengan menggunakan Project Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) pada kelompok usia 5 sampai 6 tahun. Rata-rata HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 59,08 dari nilai rata-rata sebelumnya 34,30, dan pada kelompok kontrol yang memiliki nilai rata-rata 38,50 dari rata-rata sebelumnya 36,50. Pengujian hipotesis menunjukan ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari percobaan sains menggunakan project based learning. ilmiah menggunakan Project Pembelajaran Berbasis HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills). Disimpulkan percobaan sains menggunakan project based learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS pada anak usia dini.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan sosial yang dimiliki oleh anak usia dini disebabkan karena anak lebih banyak bermain gadget dibandingkan bermain dengan teman sebanya. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan sosial antara kelompok anak yang dibelajarkan dengan kegiatan meronce melalui model kooperatif tipe think pair share dengan kelompok anak yang dibelajarkan model pembelajaran konvensional kelompok B. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan menggunakan Non-Equivalent Post-Test Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak kelompok B yang berjumlah 86 orang. Penarikan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik random sampling, dengan jumlah sampel penelitian yakni 36 anak. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode observasi, dengan instrument penelitian berupa pedoman observasi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Uji hipotesis dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian yaitu terdapat perbedaan signifikan keterampilan sosial kelompok anak yang dibelajarkan menggunakan kegiatan meronce melalui model kooperatif tipe think pair share dan kelompok anak yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan meronce melalui model kooperatif tipe think pair share berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan sosial anak kelompok B.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan sosial yang dimiliki oleh anak usia dini disebabkan karena pendidik terlalu memfokuskan pada tuntutan hasil belajar, namun kurang memperhatikan perilaku anak. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh storytelling bermuatan nilai-nilai Pancasila terhadap kemampuan berperilaku sosial anak usia dini. Penelitian ini tergolong kedalam jenis penelitian Pre-eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok A yang berjumlah 30 anak. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik sampling purposive yaitu teknik penentuan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode observasi dengan instrument penelitian berupa pedoman observasi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian kemudian dianalisis dengan dua tahap yaitu dengan statistik analisis statistik inferensial melalui dan uji prasyarat analisis (uji-t). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai hasil kemampuan berperilaku sosial sebelum dibelajarkan menggunakan storytelling bermuatan nilai-nilai Pancasila yaitu 17.83 sedangkan nilai mean atau rerata nilai anak yang dibelajarkan sesudah menngunakan storytelling bermuatan nilai-nilai Pancasila memiliki rata-rata yaitu 34.67. Pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig lebih besar dari 0,05. Disimpulkan bahwa storytelling bermuatan nilai-nilai Pancasila berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berperilaku sosial anak usia dini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kepercayaan diri, kepercayaan diri yang dimaksud yaitu kesadaran diri anak, rasa tanggung jawab, dan perilaku prososial. Dari permasalahan tersebut perlu diberikan metode mengajar yang baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kegiatan tari kreasi terhadap kepercayaan diri anak kelompok B. Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian pretest-posttest control group design.  Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelompok B. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa dari kelompok B1 dan B2 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 28 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dengan penerapan tari kreasi, sedangkan kelompok B5 dan B6 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 24 orang digunakan sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data hasil kepercayaan diri anak dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi. Selanjutnya di analisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial (Uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kegiatan seni tari kreasi terhadap kepercayaan diri anak kelompok B. Selain itu, berdasarkan analisis deskriptif diperoleh skor rata-rata kelompok eksperiman lebih besar dari skor rata-rata kelompok control. Disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan seni tari kreasi dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri anak kelompok B.

Abstract

The development of religious and moral values in early childhood in kindergarten is still relatively low. Children are not yet able to demonstrate behavior and attitudes in this development. This is because playing while learning is less associated with traditional games. Therefore, this research aims to describe the application of traditional games and the development of religious and moral values as well as supporting and inhibiting factors for early childhood in kindergarten. The type of research used is qualitative research with a humanistic approach model, the subject of this research. There were 15 children aged 5-6 years, and the data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this research show that the application of the traditional games Congklak, Map and Seek, engklek, jump rope, and bakelan was programmed by adapting to the themes and sub-themes found in kindergarten. The application results show the development of religious and moral values in early childhood. Even though its implementation cannot be separated from supporting and inhibiting factors, the teacher can overcome this. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to playing while learning activities by preserving traditional games for educational institutions and especially early childhood The application results show the development of religious and moral values in early childhood.
