Abstract

The low ability of empathy possessed by young children makes them lack a sense of sharing, helping, and understanding other people's feelings. Based on the problems found, it is necessary to provide new methods for developing empathy skills in children. A method that can develop empathy skills is an interactive storytelling method based on local wisdom. This research aims to determine the effect of interactive storytelling methods based on local wisdom on empathy abilities in group B children. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was all group B children, totaling 46 children. group B2, totaling 24 children, was the experimental group and group B1, totaling 22 children, was the control group. Data was collected using the observation method and then analyzed using the t-test. Based on the analysis results, there is a significant difference in abilities empathy between the children who were given interactive storytelling methods based on local wisdom and those who were not given interactive storytelling methods based on local wisdom. Based on the results of this research, the use of interactive storytelling methods based on local wisdom affects the empathy abilities of young children.

Abstract

As the first institution for early childhood, PAUD institutions must have a directed learning system to achieve optimal growth and development of children so that children are ready to face the next level of education. This research aims to explain the teacher's perspective regarding the application and use of interactive learning-based media with the help of PowerPoint as an alternative in the learning process for children aged 5-6 years. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological design. Data was collected through observation and interviews with 7 teachers at the kindergarten. The data analysis technique in this research uses data collection analysis, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The analysis results show that using interactive learning media provides benefits in increasing students' interest and ease in studying learning material. Teachers see that interactive learning media has helped them convey learning objectives and attract children's attention. Even though there are several obstacles to implementing interactive learning media, teachers think the media is worth using. This research provides a better understanding of teachers' perspectives on applying interactive learning media. It provides a basis for further development in using these media as practical learning tools.

Abstract

Learning loss or loss of knowledge is a condition where children lose achievements and skills in academic development due to the cessation of learning in education. Currently, learning loss often occurs in early childhood. This research is analytical with data collection methods through interviews, observation, and documentation. This research method is descriptive and qualitative, using primary data from sources. Data analysis techniques in this research using data collection analysis, data reduction, data presentation, and verification show that several factors cause students to experience learning loss. The research results found that the teacher's role divides the learning process into two major stages, namely apperception and the strategy or method used. It states that the perception carried out by the teacher before learning has a significant influence on overall learning. Next to stage two, namely the method used. Children or early childhood students experience learning loss in the early or odd semesters due to the change in learning activities from online to offline, often called blended learning. The difficulties experienced by teachers when facing learning loss are the need for more learning media for children, and to cover this shortage, teachers exchange media and get closer to children whose development needs to catch up. This research also uses observation, interview, and documentation data collection methods to collect data from group teacher subjects and principal informants. Data validity uses data analysis techniques such as triangulation, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research show that implementing P5 as an effort to increase the character of patriotism is carried out in three stages. In the initial stage, the teacher deepens the child's talent interests to adjust the activities and themes of the P5 project. Project activities will be developed and arranged at the development stage based on a predetermined project theme. At the conclusion stage, the teacher will evaluate and reflect on the activities that have been carried out based on the children's achievements and feedback from parents. Apart from that, in its implementation, the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile are also inserted into children's learning and daily life to familiarize children with character development.

Abstract

A child who actively speaks does not necessarily have good language skills, and a child who tends to be quiet does not mean that the child experiences obstacles in his language aspect. This research aims to produce shadow puppet videos that can help children aged 4-6 years develop speaking skills using time vocabulary. This development research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The subjects involved in this research were early childhood children. The validity of the shadow puppet video was measured through an evaluation questionnaire assessed by two experts, namely a media expert and a material expert. This research uses qualitative statistical analysis to process descriptive and subjective data, such as expert reviews, criticism and suggestions. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the development of shadow puppet videos to stimulate the speaking skills of children aged 4-6 years in using time vocabulary has very high validity. Therefore, this shadow puppet video can be used as media in the school environment to support the learning process.

Abstract

The child's attitude of not wanting to cooperate with friends to play together and the lack of group activities causes the child's cooperative character values less developed, resulting in an attitude of not caring about friends. Instilling the value of character education plays a vital role in supporting the Pancasila student profile program. This research explores the role of the Dolananku box game in strengthening the character values of cooperation and creativity based on the Pancasila student profile in early childhood. The type of research used is quasi-experimental. The research subjects were 62 children aged 5-6 years. Data collection techniques use tests and observations, while data analysis techniques use the Wilcoxon and Independent t-test. The research results show that applying the Dolananku box game has significantly strengthened children's cooperative and creative character values. The research concludes that there is an increase in the strengthening of cooperation and creative character values after being taught using the Dolananku box game compared to the abilities of children who were not given the Dolananku box game. The research implies a change in the value of cooperation, shown in the behavior of working together to assemble blocks into a work, and children can string beads.

Abstract

The use of devices in early childhood has a time limit so that they have a good impact. The high frequency of device use among children will influence children's social behavior, especially prosocial behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of frequency of device use on the prosocial behavior of children aged 5-6 years. This research uses ex-post facto quantitative research. The population in this study were parents (mothers) with children aged 5-6 years in PAUD institutions. This study used two-stage cluster sampling with a sample size of three sub-districts, one kindergarten for each with 59 parents (mothers). Data collection in this study used a questionnaire method with an instrument in the form of a statement sheet that parents (mothers) need to fill out to obtain data on the frequency of device use in children, children's prosocial behavior, and personal data on parents and children. The data obtained was then analyzed using a simple linear regression test processed with the help of SPSS. The data analysis results show an influence between the frequency of device use and the prosocial behavior of children aged 5-6 years. Apart from that, the correlation value shows a negative influence between the frequency of using devices and the prosocial behavior of children aged 5-6 years. This research implies that the frequency of using devices influences the prosocial behavior of children aged 5-6, meaning that the higher the frequency, the lower the child's prosocial behavior, and vice versa.
