Abstract

One of the problems experienced by young children is tantrums. If a tantrum cannot be overcome, it can harm the child and the people around him. The child cannot control his emotions and faces problems in his environment. This research aims to analyze parents' causes and efforts in dealing with early childhood tantrums. This research is a mixed method. The research subjects were children who experienced tantrums and their parents. Data was collected by conducting surveys, interviews with parents, and observations. Data collection instrument using questionnaires. Quantitative data analysis uses percentage scores, while qualitative data analysis uses the data analysis model, according to Milles and Huberman. The research results show that the tantrums experienced by children are crying loudly, screaming/shouting, throwing or slamming things, hitting, and throwing tantrums. The causes of children having tantrums are unfulfilled desires, boredom, fighting over toys, parents pampering/protecting children too much, being bullied, or fighting with friends or relatives. Meanwhile, the efforts made by parents to deal with tantrums in children are diverting the child's attention, whispering to the children, hugging the child, letting the child calm down, recognizing the child's habits, giving the child an understanding of the level of intensity of anger; and, do not spoil children.

This type of research is quantitative research. The research method uses a quantitative approach in the form of experimental quasi. The method used in collecting data is a test with early childhood research subjects. The instrument used in collecting data is the test question sheet. The technique used in analyzing data is inferential statistical analysis (t-test). The results of the study werethat children in the experimental class who used percussion bottles filled with water had a higher average score when compared to children in the control class who used applause. It was concluded that percussion bottles filled with water are effectively used to develop social development in early childhood. Simple percussion ensembles can help improve the pleasant learning atmosphere in students so as to improve social development in children.

Abstract

The family needs to require parents to work. Even mothers with young children often work in the public sector to meet their family's needs. This condition means that parents cannot care for their children during working hours, so parents need PAUD services, especially daycare or child care. This research aims to determine indicators of working parents' needs for PAUD daycare services. The type of research used in this research is survey research. The research subjects in this study were 150 working parents who entrusted their children to PAUD daycare services. The data collection method used is a survey method using a questionnaire given to respondents. Before the questionnaire is given to respondents, the questionnaire is validated first by the relevant expert. The data analysis used techniques with a Likert scale of 5. This research shows that working parents need PAUD daycare services that provide activities that can help children's development. Apart from that, parents who have a bachelor's degree and the location of the daycare and the costs incurred are also considerations for parents when entrusting their children to PAUD daycare institutions.

Abstract

Creativity is one of the 21st-century skills that young children must possess; creativity can be demonstrated through the child's ability to express the thoughts and ideas in their minds and positively impact their future. The level of creativity in children can be influenced by several factors, one of which is parents' parenting style. This research aims to analyze the influence of parenting styles on early childhood creativity. This research is classified as a quantitative type of research, with a population of 56. The research was conducted using probabilistic techniques with proportional stratified random sampling. The final sample size in this study was 36 children. Data collection in this research was carried out using observation, documentation, and questionnaire distribution methods, with the research instrument as a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data obtained in the research was then analyzed using the t-test analysis technique. The results of the data analysis show that authoritarian parenting harms children's creativity. In other words, the higher the parenting style, the less creative the child is.On the other hand, democratic parenting has a positive effect. It means the higher the parenting style, the more creative the child will be. So, there is an influence of parental parenting on children's creativity.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic, which requires all students to study online, has had an impact on many parents who experience difficulties in adapting to these changes, so many parents fall into anxiety conditions ranging from low levels (mild anxiety) to severe levels (severe anxiety), which if not managed properly can result in the next level such as stress, paranoia, depression, and other psychological impacts. The aim of carrying out this research is to check the level of anxiety and transcendence of parents. This research is classified as a quantitative type of research, with a total research sample of 6635 parents. Data was collected using a questionnaire with a research instrument consisting of 42 questions. The data obtained in the research was then analyzed using quantitative analysis. The results of the data analysis show that the anxiety level is at a high level, namely 80.77%, while the digital transcendence level is 57.42%, and the spiritual transcendence level is 91.77%. The high and low anxiety levels are directly proportional to parental transcendence, where there is a balance between digital and spiritual transcendence.

This research analyzes social factors that influence children's interactions and behavior in the classroom environment. This type of research is qualitative research. This qualitative research involved children and two of their teachers in kindergarten. Data collection methods use observation and interviews. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire sheet. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results show that respectful relationships, honest conversation and communication, intellectual engagement of students, shared ownership and responsibility in learning, and a classroom environment are the keys to effective learning for children. Abstract

Disaster events cause various impacts on victims, especially children. Problems in the field show that many PAUD institutions still need a game related to disaster mitigation. It is essential to carry out disaster mitigation education in PAUD units to form attitudes in early childhood. This research aims to analyze how the development of the mega monopoly game can improve the ability to save themselves from 5 types of disasters in children aged 5-6 years. This research is classified as a development research developed using the ADDIE model. The subjects involved in this research were 2 experts and 48 children. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and questionnaires, with research instruments in the form of media validity sheets. The data obtained in the research was then analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques. The research analysis results show that the validation results of PAUD material and game experts obtained an average of 92.20% and 90%. The recapitulation results of small group trials were 96.87%, and large group trials were 98%. Based on these results, the mega monopoly game for learning disaster mitigation for children aged 5-6 years is considered very valid and suitable. This research implies that the developed mega monopoly game can be used by teachers in learning to improve the ability to save themselves when a disaster occurs in children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

Parental affection shown inappropriately can hinder or limit children's activities and movements, so that children cannot explore freely and develop their imagination and creativity. This research aims to determine the significant influence of using e-scrapbook media on the creativity of group B children. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was all 42 children from Group B, Denpasar. The research sample was taken using a saturated sampling technique because all population members were used as samples. Group B2, consisting of 21 children, was selected as the experimental group, and Group B1, consisting of 21 children, was selected as the control group. The data collection method used is a non-test method, namely observation using an assessment instrument for children's work based on a creativity assessment rubric. This research uses descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. The results of this study show that the average post-test score in the experimental group was 82.57, while in the control group, it was 63, with a maximum score of 100. The t-test results showed a significant difference in the creativity of children taught using e-scrapbook media and those taught using conventional learning. It was concluded that the use of e-scrapbook media had a significant effect on the creativity of group B children.

The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. The validity test of this assessment instrument is carried out through a content validity test (expert/expert test). The instrument developed will be tested by 2 media experts, 2 material experts, 3 teachers, and 5 children's responses. The data analysis technique uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results, namely the results of validity analysis from media experts, obtained a score of 91.3%. The results of the validity of the material expert obtained a score of 97.1%. The teacher validity results obtained a score of 96.6%. The child's response test obtained a score of 96.3%.
