Abstract

Breastcancer is an evil for women in the world. The incidence of breastcancer in women of childbearing age (WUS) increases every year including at RSPAL dr. Ramelan Surabaya, from 389 to 457 cases (14.87%) during 2022. This research was conducted at Surgical Oncology Polyclinic RSPAL dr. Ramelan Surabaya toward WUS. This study was an analytical observational study with a case control design, breast cancer in WUS as the case group and no breast cancer in WUS as the control group. The dependent variable is breast cancer on WUS, while the independent variables are menarche and obesity. The sample size was 160 respondents, consisting of 80 case groups and 80 control groups. The sampling method uses simple random sampling. To determine the relationship between variables, the data collected was tested using the chi-square test with a significance level of α=0.05. The results showed that most of the obese (75%) were included in the case group. The results of the Chi-square analysis of breast cancer in WUS with menarche showed p value=0.421 (p>0.05), For breastcancer in WUS with obesity, the chi-square analysis showed p value=0.001 (p<0.05), meaning that there is a relationship between obesity and the incidence of breast cancer in WUS.

Abstract

Introduction: Knowledge of Antenatal Care (ANC) is crucial for the health of pregnant women and their unborn children. Objectives: This study compares the effectiveness of counselling alone versus a combination of counselling and video education on pregnant women's knowledge of integrated ANC at Puskesmas Sekardangan Sidoarjo. Methods: Using a quasi-experimental design with two post-tests only groups, 40 pregnant women were divided into two groups of 20. The control group received counselling, while the intervention group received both counselling and educational videos on ANC. ANC knowledge questionnaires were completed post-intervention and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. Results: Results indicated that 65% of the control group had poor knowledge levels, compared to 45% of the intervention group with good knowledge levels. There was a significant increase in knowledge in both groups, with a Z count of -3.525 and a significance value of ρ = 0.000, showing a significant difference between the groups. Conclusion: The study concludes that combining educational videos with counselling is more effective in enhancing pregnant women's knowledge about ANC than counselling alone. Health facilities are recommended to integrate educational videos into ANC counselling programs, with further research needed to explore technology in health education.

Abstract

Background: Chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women is a condition where pregnant women experience malnutrition or malnutrition for a long time, which can cause health problems for the mother and fetus. In 2022, the maternal mortality rate reached 207 per 100,000 KH, exceeding the strategic plan target of 190 per 100,000 KH. Direct causes of maternal mortality are bleeding, eclampsia, miscarriage complications, and infection; indirect causes play a major role in complications in pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency. The prevalence of chronic energy deficiency in NTT in 2022 was 36.8%; in Nagekeo Regency, it was 12.6%; and at Boawae Health Center, in 2022, the prevalence of was 13.6%; in 2023, it decreased by 11.5%. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women in the Boawae Health Center area. Methods: This study is an observational analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique was total sampling. The samples in this study were pregnant women in trimesters 1, 2, and 3 in the Boawae Health Center area. The research variables were knowledge, education, income, and work. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis using chi-squared with alpha (a = 0.05). Results: The research sample included as many as 105 pregnant women. Bivariate results showed that the variables knowledge (p = 0.982), education (p = 0.059), income (p = 0.08), and occupation (p = 0.338). This indicates that the factors of knowledge, education, income, and occupation do not have a significant relationship with chronic energy deficiency. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the factors of knowledge, education, income, and employment and the incidence of chronic energy deficiency (CHD) in pregnant women. Efforts to handle pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency include providing additional food to pregnant women, ensuring adequate food availability in the household, providing counseling on the importance of meeting the nutritional needs of pregnancy, and changing habits or eating patterns to the needs of pregnant women.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is still the leading cause of death from infectious pathogens worldwide. Some of the factors that influence this are the negative stigma against the disease, at RSUD Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak, precisely in the Anggur room in 2022, there were 466 cases of Pulmonary Tuberculosis patients. Until now there is still a growing assumption in the community that TB is a hereditary disease that is difficult to overcome. This assumption makes many TB patients do not want to seek treatment because of shame and plus the family also tends to cover up the condition of the disease, Motivation has an influence on the success of treatment, especially pulmonary TB patients so that their desire and willingness to be able to behave obediently in treatment, a person's motivation to recover can affect adherence to taking medication in tuberculosis patients. Research Objectives: Knowing the response of negative stigma and motivation to recover to the level of adherence to taking anti TB drugs in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in the anggur room of Rsud Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak in 2023. Research methods: The research method used was descriptive correlational and cross sectional method with chi square test. The sample in this study was 33 tuberculosis sufferers undergoing anti-TB drug treatment who were treated in the anggur Room in November - December. The technique used in this research is sequential sampling, and data collection using a questionnaire. Research result: The results of data processing on respondents who have a high negative stigma as much as 97%, high recovery motivation as much as 100% and a high level of compliance as much as 42%, the results of the Chi Square test Negative stigma response to the level of adherence to taking anti TB drugs obtained p value = 0.024 means p < α (0.05). So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, and the Cure Motivation Response to the level of adherence to taking anti TB drugs obtained p value = 0.010 means p < α (0.05). So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected. Conclusions and suggestions: Statistically there is a relationship between negative stigma response and motivation to recover on the level of adherence to taking anti-tuberculosis drugs in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in the Anggur room of RSUD Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as input in carrying out nursing care in order to improve the quality of nursing services in the form of providing or conducting health education, especially the importance of adherence to taking OAT in tuberculosis patients in the Anggur room of RSUD Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak, in an effort to prevent drug resistance.
