Abstract

This research discusses linguistic signs in the meaning of the Uliat Manyang dance movements from South Siberut, Mentawai. The Uliat Manyang dance is a dance that still functions in traditional ceremonies in Mentawai. The Uliat Manyang dance is a ritual in the form of a dance that imitates the movements of an eagle. The Uliat Manyang dance is performed by Sikerei at the Panunggru event, which is an important ceremony where the event marks the end of the mourning period and as a sign of eternal separation between the souls of the deceased and the families left behind. This dance was performed by Sikerei featuring vocal, facial and gesture elements. This research aims to determine the signifier and signified contained in the Uliat Manyang dance movements and the meaning of the song lyrics in the Uliat Manyang dance. Apart from that, this research also analyzes the body signs of Uliat Manyangdance movements. The theory used in this study is semiotics, which refers to the theory of linguistic signs proposed by Saussure in Candler. This study is a descriptive qualitative study in the form of field notes, observations, interviews, videos, and photos. The stages of implementation are carried out by observations made by watching dances at two events, recorded in video form. The conclusion in this analysis is that the Uliat Manyang dance is a dance that is a symbol of an animal that tells the story of the life of an eagle that is teased by a siamang, but they still maintain togetherness and do not cause quarrels with each other in living their lives. The story of the eagle and the siamang is told through movements and every song lyric. Likewise with the Mentawai people, they always live their daily lives together, such as farming, hunting together, and processing sago which is used as a staple food. Traditional Mentawai dance is a dance that has artistic, magical and mystical values ​​so that turuk laggai is believed to be a dance that intercedes for the spirits of ancestors and humans.

Abstract

The title of this research is “The Struggle Of Hallucination As Seen In Beth Revis’ A World Without You”. This thesis focuses on personality, external conflict, and hallucinations experienced by Bo as in the novel A World Without You. This research uses descriptive qualitative as a method in this final assignment, because the data are in the form of words and sentences written in the novel and analyzed descriptively. The data was obtained by the researcher by reading and writing sentences intensively and collecting several references from several books and dictionaries related to the subject matter and searching for information from the internet to support the research. The results of this study show the personality that occurs in Bo's life as a human being who has different personalities. External conflict occurs because Bo interacts with the people around him. Bo's hallucinations towards this make him and his family treated differently and it is difficult to accept the fact that his lover is no longer there.

Abstract

The character of Carrie and the elements that shape her character are the primary foci of the thesis. Carl Jung's theory of personality, which delves into archetypes like Persona and Shadow, is utilized in this thesis to get insight into Carrie's mind. This study makes use of a descriptive and qualitative approach. The research shows that Carrie's devout mother and her classmates, who treat her badly and reject her often, have a significant impact on her personality. Then, her character quirks start to take shape and become apparent. 1) Carrie is calm and careful around her friends, and she follows her mother's orders to the letter. She exudes all of these qualities in her manner. Character traits are shaped by the influences of one's immediate social circle and the environment in which one grows up. 2) Carrie's shadow is defined by defiance, rage, retaliation, bodily harm, and acts of violence. Shadow arises from her insecurities and the overwhelming presence of bullies and ridicule, which prevent her from appreciating her own great characteristics. Both of these phases in Carrie's life have been caused by her immense desire to transform her life into the life she wishes it could be. Whenever Carrie fails to achieve her lifelong objective, her self-esteem starts to deteriorate.

Abstract

The title of this research is "Analysis of the Power of Love in Rachel Ward's Novel Numbers". This research problem focuses on personality, the power of love, and the external conflict experienced by Jemma as reflected in the novel Numbers. The technique used in this research is literature. To obtain certain data by searching and collecting several books related to magical analysis of personality, the power of love, and external conflict in a literary work. By quoting sentences or words that show personality characteristics, the power of love, and external conflicts and then describing them. Personality According to Sigmund Freud includes three parts, namely Id, Ego, and Superego. This happens because Jemma lives as a human who has a different personality. The power of love occurs because the human characters in the novel interact with other humans, giving rise to feelings of joy, care, responsibility, sexual feelings. External conflict is divided into two, namely conflict between a person and another person, a person and a group and also a conflict between a person and his country. External conflict occurs because Jemma integrates with other humans, causing conflict between Jemma and other people, while Jemma's conflict with his country is when there is a bombing at the London which makes them considered terrorists and all the police in their country are looking for them. From this novel, lessons can be learned such as the struggle for life, in life, don't give up even though the obstacles you face are so big. Continue to be good people and always strengthen each other.

Abstract

This research explores the traditional clothing traditions of the Sikerei Mentawai, an indigenous community living in the Mentawai Islands, Indonesia. Sikerei traditional clothing is mostly made from natural fibers such as tree bark (baiko), leaves, bird feathers, chicken feathers, and red kenikir flowers with red ashoka thread or wool woven together to create various decorative elements of sikerei clothing. Men often wear simple tongoro (baiko) made from tree bark, while women wear short skirts made from woven fiber or red cloth. Both men and women can also wear jara-jara (head bands) or red asoka flowers and various other accessories, such as lekkau bracelets, ngalau necklaces, which are made from natural materials. Sikerei traditional clothing is not only a cultural expression but also has a practical purpose. The lightweight and breathable nature of clothing helps the Sikerei people adapt to the tropical climate of the Mentawai Islands, while the use of natural materials reflects their close relationship with the environment and sustainable lifestyle. A qualitative approach allows researchers to explore complex nuances and look beyond raw data to discover meaningful patterns of meaning. In qualitative research, the focus is on process and meaning, as explained by Creswell (2014). Saussure's theory of signs and signifiers is used to analyze the symbolism in traditional Sikerei clothing, which helps understand the meaning contained therein. The conclusion of this analysis is that the Sikerei Mentawai traditional clothing is proof of the resilience and richness of Mentawai culture. This symbolizes a sikerei's strong connection with nature, spiritual beliefs, and commitment to preserving the traditions of the Mentawai Sikerei people. Sikerei traditional clothing is not only an expression of culture but also has a practical purpose, designed for comfort, durability and to suit their lifestyle. These conservation efforts highlight the importance of traditional clothing in maintaining cultural diversity and promoting a sense of belonging within the Mentawai community. Thus, the traditional clothing of the Mentawai Sikerei is not only a symbol of their identity but also a source of pride and a true and special cultural expression.

Abstract

Pada zaman teknologi sekarang Dalam Akademisi pendidikan diartikan sebagai salah satu usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan Negara (Sisdiknas, 2003: pasal 1).Pengertian dari Pendidikan merupakan suatu proses pembelajaran, yaitu suatu usaha yang dilakukan seseorang untuk memperoleh perubahan tingkah laku yang baru secara keseluruhan, sebagai hasil pengalamannya sendiri dalam interaksi dengan lingkungannya. Proses pembelajaran dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, yaitu lingkungan keluarga, seperti cara orang tua mendidik anak, keharmonisan hubungan antara anggota keluarga, dan ekonomi akan berdampak terhadap cara belajar. Cara keluarga memahami konsep pendidikan akan berbeda prosesnya pada siswa yang keluarganya tidak memahami tentang perlunya pendidikan bagi anaknya pada masa sekarang dan masa yang akan datang. Faktor yang kedua adalah lingkungan sekolah, seperti metode, kurikulum, relasi guru dan siswa, siswa dan siswa, sarana dan prasarana. Faktor yang ketiga adalah lingkungan masyarakat, siswa lebih banyak menggunakan waktunya di lingkungan masyarakat setelah mereka belajar di sekolah. Kehidupan di lingkungan masyarakat turut pula mempengaruhi cara dan proses pembelajaran pada diri siswa, seperti kegiatan, teman bergaul, dan mas media. Abstract

This research discusses the types and functions of code mixing found in the "Indonesia's Next Top Model Cycle 3" event. This research focuses on analyzing the code mixing used by the models and judges at the event. The main objective of this research is to find out the types and functions of code mixing at the "Indonesia's Next Top Model Cycle 3" event, then find out the types of code mixing that are most widely used, analyze the reasons and functions of certain code mixing. The data for this research are 62 clauses containing code mixing at the event "Indonesia's Next Top Model Cycle 3". This research was conducted using Qualitative Analysis Research. The technique used to collect data is the technique of recording, reading, studying and analyzing all the data. The data in this research were analyzed using Hoffman's code mixing theory (1991). Based on data analysis, it was found that there were three types of code mixing found at the "Indonesia's Next Top Model Cycle 3" event, namely intra-sentential code mixing, intra-lexical code mixing, and involving pronunciation changes. furthermore, there are seven functions of code mixing, namely talking about certain topics, quoting other people, being empathetic towards something, interjection, repetition used for clarification, intention to clarify the content of the interlocutor's speech, and expressing group identity. The most dominant type of code mixing used in the "Indonesia's Next Top Model Cycle 3" event was Intra Sentential Code Mixing with a total of 57 clauses out of the 62 clauses found. Furthermore, the most dominant function of code mixing is found in the "Indonesia's Next Top Model Cycle 3" event, namely discussing certain topics, namely there are 39 clauses out of 62 clauses.

Abstract

Discussing deep learning, not just talking about Mindful, meaningful and joyful learning. However, there is a further leap regarding educational transformation. The history of applying deep learning in the classroom reflects a long journey from initial theory to transformational practical applications. Despite facing many challenges, this technology continues to develop and offers great potential to revolutionize learning. With the right investment in research and infrastructure, the future of deep learning-based education will become brighter. The deep learning curriculum in Indonesia must be designed to overcome challenges and take advantage of existing opportunities. By developing a comprehensive curriculum that includes theory, practical skills, ethics and real-world applications, Indonesia can produce a workforce that is skilled and ready to compete in the era of artificial intelligence. The government, educational institutions and industry need to work together to accelerate the implementation of this curriculum to drive broader digitaltransformation across the country.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis alih kode dan Integrasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab telah menjadi fokus perhatian yang signifikan di kalangan pendidik dan peneliti. Dengan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, AI menawarkan berbagai pendekatan inovatif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi tren utama dalam integrasi AI, meliputi pembelajaran adaptif, penggunaan chatbot, analisis data pembelajaran, dan penerapan teknologi Natural Language Processing (NLP) dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Metode penelitian dilaksanakan melalui tinjauan literatur sistematis dengan tahapan: (1) pencarian publikasi dalam database ilmiah menggunakan kata kunci tertentu, (2) penyaringan artikel berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, (3) pengambilan data dari artikel terpilih, dan (4) analisis tema untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan tren. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran adaptif berbasis AI dapat meningkatkan pengalaman belajar dengan menyesuaikan materi ajar sesuai kebutuhan individu siswa. Chatbot berbasis AI terbukti efektif memberikan umpan balik langsung yang memperkuat keterampilan berbicara dan mendengarkan. Analisis data interaksi siswa memungkinkan pendidik mengidentifikasi kesulitan spesifik dan menyesuaikan metode pengajaran secara tepat. Sementara itu, teknologi NLP berkontribusi signifikan dalam memperkaya penguasaan kosakata dan pemahaman tata bahasa. Kesimpulannya, integrasi AI dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar, meskipun tantangan implementasi seperti infrastruktur teknologi dan kebutuhan pelatihan pengajar masih perlu diatasi. Implikasi dari penelitian ini mengarah pada pentingnya pengembangan strategi integrasi AI yang berkelanjutan dan kontekstual, serta kebutuhan akan kolaborasi antara ahli bahasa Arab, pakar pendidikan, dan pengembang teknologi untuk memaksimalkan manfaat AI dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali strategi pelayanan prima untuk diterapkan di Instalasi Laboratorium Sentral di RSUP. Dr. M. Djamil Padang, yang mana selama melakukan penelitian ini banyak di temui kendala dan permasalahan yang berakibat pada terganggunya kelancaran dalam pelayanan prima serta upaya apa saja yang harus dilakukan dalam meningkatkan pelayanan prima di Instalasi Laboratorium Sentral di RSUP. Dr. M. Djamil Padang. Dalam penelitian ini tipe yang digunakan adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif yang menggambarkan bagaimana keadaan dalam upaya meningkatkan pelayanan prima di RSUP. Dr. M. Djamil Padang, dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, metode deskriptif adalah suatu penelitian yang mempelajari masalah dalam masyarakat serta situasi-situasi tertentu. Adapun sumber data penelitian ini ada dua yaitu sumber data primer yakni data yang didapat dari Instalasi Laboratorium Sentral dan pegawai Laboratorium Sentral, dan data sekunder didapatkan dari sumber lain seperti buku. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pelayanan Prima di Instalasi Laboratorium Sentral di RSUP. Dr. M. Djamil Padang adalah indikator pertama dari standar mutu rumah sakit. Kepuasan pasien yang rendah akan berdampak jumlah kunjungan pasien yang akan mempengaruhi probabilitas rumah sakit, sedangkan sikap pegawai terhadap pasien juga akan berdampak terhadap kepuasan pasien dimana kebutuhan pasien dari waktu ke waktu terus meningkat. Begitu pula tuntutannya akan pelayanan prima yang diberikan terdapat lima aspek profesionalisme Tenaga Medis, yaitu aspek Kompetensi Teknis, Tenaga Medis, aspek siap dan teroganisir, aspek memiliki antusias yang dinamis, aspek memiliki kepedulian yang tinggi, aspek komitmen yang mana akan bermuara akhir pada pelayanan prima ke masyarakat.
