Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth about the ability of students 'mathematical representation and its improvement using the Somantic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) learning model, and to determine students' responses to SAVI learning. This study involved the experimental class and the control class taken from class VII (Seven) MTs Mishbahul Huda Kalimanggis District 2017/2018 Academic Year. The study used a descriptive test instrument to evaluate the students' mathematical representation skills and to use students' response questionnaires to find out students' responses to the applied learning. From the results of the pretest it was found that the mean score of the ability of the mathematical representation of the control class was 15.69 while the experimental class was 14.70. Through the t test on this value it is known that the value of t count = 1.41. While the degrees of freedom of 5% and dk = 44 are known to be t table = 2.732. From these two data we know that - 2.732 <1.41 <2.732 then fulfills H0 acceptance criteria which means that both classes have the same initial representation ability. Meanwhile from the post-test results it is known that the mean representation score of the control class is 26.91 and the average score of the mathematical representation of the experimental class is 33.33. From the results of the t test on this value obtained tcount = 3.21 and t table = 2.732. From the two data, it is known that -2,732 <3,21 <2,732, then tcount is not found in the reception area H0. This means that after treatment the ability of the experimental class mathematical representation is better than the control class. From the results of the z test the N-Gain score obtained zcount = -3 and ztable = 1.71. From the two data, it is known that -3 <1.71 then thitung is in the reception area H0. This means that after the treatment increases the mathematical representation ability of the experimental class is not in the high category. In addition, from the results of the student response questionnaire, it was found that students showed a positive response to the SAVI learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the application of make a match learning model can improve students' understanding in the material set.This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were the students of class VII A SMPN 2 Kalimanggis District Kuningan academic year 2016/2017. The study was conducted collaboratively between researchers, observers, and subjects studied. Implementation of this research is done in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. This classroom action research process is conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of four main actions: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The end of each cycle is tested using question instrument. The test used is a description test performed at the end of cycle I and cycle II. Besides as an evaluation tool, this test is conducted to know the students' understanding. Data processing techniques student learning outcomes are performing tests, collecting test results, correcting test results, scoring the acquisition of test results, determining the value of test results and determining the average value.The results showed that the average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle to get the value of 75 and the second cycle of the average value of learning outcomes increased to obtain the value 87. Similarly, the results of student activity observations showed an increase. In the first cycle of participation and activity of students is 60% and in the second cycle of participation and student activity increased to 80%, so most of the participation and activities of students categorized well. While the results of teacher performance observation obtained the value of implementation aspects of observations in the first cycle of 80% and in the second cycle managed 100%. This study concludes that make a match learning model can improve students' comprehension ability in Mathematics subject in the material set.

Abstract

Application of Cooperative-Meaningful InstructionalDesign (C-MID) Learning Model to Improve Student Mathematical CommunicationSkill. This study aims to examine the improvement of students' mathematicalcommunication skills with Cooperative-Meaningful Instructional Design learningmodel. This research involves experimental class and control class which is takenfrom class VII (Seven) SMP Negeri 4 Kuningan academic year 2016/2017. Theinstruments used in this study are test and questionnaire. Through experimentalmethod of pretest result it is known that the average score of mathematicalcommunication ability of control class is 31,36 while experiment class is 27,15. Andresult of posttest known that average score of communication of control class is 37,17and mean score of mathematical communication of experiment class is 43,08. Fromthe calculation of N-Gain score, the average of experimental class is 0,45 and thecontrol class is 0,26, it shows that after being given treatment of improvement ofmathematical ability of experiment class communication better than improvement ofmathematical communication ability of control class. The improvement ofmathematical communication skills of the experimental class is in the mediumcategory. In addition, from the result of questionnaire of student response, it is knownthat the students showed a positive response to the C- Cooperative-MeaningfulInstructional Design (C-MID) learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate whether Guided Finding Methods could improve students' understanding of geometry in class 8. The method used is Classroom Action Research. The research was done at SMP Negeri 2 Ciwaru located at Jl. Raya Sumberjaya, Desa Citikur, Kecamatan Ciwaru, Kabupaten Kuningan. The subjects of the researchs were the students of SMP Negeri 2 Ciwaru class 8 academic year 2016/2017. They were chosen because after consulting with mathematics teachers that this had major problems regarding the comprehension ability of mathematical concepts. Data collection techniques: observation, interview and questionnaire. The research was done in 2 cycles, each cycle was done in 3 sessions. Each session includes 4 stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of the research as follows: Learning with guided discovery method can improve students' understanding 73.82%. With the following details on the first cycle students who reached the KKM 17 students (62.54%) with an average score of 65.74. In cycle II the number of KKM 23 students (85.19%) the average score in cycle II was 79.26. Based on the results of the research it is advisable to use guided discovery methods in improving students' comprehension skills.

Abstract

This thesis presents the findings of a study of the scientific approach to students' mathematical communication skills. The study involved an experimental class and control class taken from 6 grade at SMP Negeri 1 Cigugur. Studies conducted using essay test instruments for evaluating mathematical communication skills and a questionnaire to determine the students' response to the scientific approach. From the results of the posttest data analysis by t test, obtained t_hitung = 6.88 and with t_tabel = 1.686. Because 1.686 <6.888, the H1 is accepted. This shows that the mathematical communication skills students acquire the learning of mathematics with scientific approach better than students who received conventional learning. Begitupulla improvement of communication capabilities mathematical experimental class is better than the control class. In addition, the results of questionnaire responses students note that the students showed a positive response to scientific learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahamanmatematika pada materi pecahan dan ilmu mawaris, korelasi antara keampuanpemahaman pecahan dengan ilmu mawaris dan faktor apa saja yang palingmempengaruhi korelasi tersebut. Metode penelitiannya adalah deskriptif denganmodel korelasional dengan subjek penelitian kelas VII pondok pesantren modern alIkhlas yang terdiri dari 20 yang seluruhnya adalah laki-laki. Instrumen yang digunakanuntuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari post test yang berisi soalsoal untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman pecahan dan ilmu mawaris, besertamengetahui korelasi antara kedua materi tersebut. lembar observasi aktivitas untukmengetahui aktifitas siswa dan guru selama proses pembelajaran, dan skala sikapsiswa dengan model skala likert dengan teknik penskoran secara aposteriori untukmelihat faktor-faktor yang paling mempengaruhi korelasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitiandiketahui terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kemampuan matematis siswa dalampenyelesaian perhitungan mawaris. Dengan kata lain, kemampuan matematis menjadisalah satu faktor dalam menerapkan suatu hukum syariah.

Abstract

Discrete mathematics is one of the basic theories that supports computer science. Meanwhile, students of the Faculty of Computer Science generally still think that discrete mathematics is a parallelized subject of computer science, so that the majority of students' mathematical problem solving abilities have not optimal. To change this reality, we need an innovation in lectures, one of which is to apply problem-based learning. This study aims to find out whether the increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who get based learning different problems with students who get conventional learning. The population in this study were students of the Information Systems study program at Indonesia, which is of the same level as the Faculty Information System study program University of Subang Computer Science when viewed from the value of BAN-PT accreditation, and The sample in this study were students of the Information Systems study program The Faculty of Computer Science, University of Subang, which took the Mathematics course Discrete (compulsory courses given in semester II). This research was conducted of two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Group the experiment is a group of students who get based learning problem while the control group is a group of students who are taught with conventional learning. The research design is in the form of a Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Research data was collected through tests. Results this research is (1) improvement of mathematical problem solving abilities students who get lectures with problem-based learning approaches are different from mathematical problem solving abilities of students who get conventional learning

Abstract

This research presents the findings of a study on the use of learning mathematics by using model Missouri Mathematics Project to increase students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The study involved an experimental class and control class is taken from the eighth grade at SMP Negeri 1 Cimahi in the second semester of the academic year 2015-2016. Research using essay test instruments to evaluate students' mathematical reasoning abilitiy and use students' responses to determine the students' response to learning that is used. To compare the ability of the two classes, the researchers used one-way t test for two independent samples. While to analyze the hypothesis concerning the gain classroom experiments, the researchers used one sample t test. From the results of the pretest known that the mean score of control class of mathematical reasoning is 13,25 while the experimental class is 12,30. Through t test on the value of the note that the value tcount = -0,51. While the degree of freedom df = 5% and 56 known ttable = 2,0042 From both these data we know that - 2,0042

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran geometri melalui model PACE berbantuan Geometers Sketchpad (Sketchpad); Jenis Penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan sampel siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB MTsN Model Cigugur Kuningan. Kedua kelompok diberikan pretes dan postes. Hipotesis diuji melalui uji parametrik (Uji-t) dan uji non-parametrik (Uji Mann-whitney), Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis kelompok eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

Novi Yulianti (NIM. 113223034), Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Student Facilitatorand Explaining dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah MatematisSiswa, Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika (PMTK), 2015. Matematika eratkaitannya dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Salah satu cara untukmeningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah pembelajaran matematikadengan metode pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining. Metode penelitianyang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswaSMP Negeri 2 Ciwaru tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIIIB sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan VIII C sebagai kelompok kontrol. Hasilpenelitian menunjukan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yangdiajar dengan metode Student Facilitator and Explaining lebih baik dari Kemampuanpemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajar dengan metode konvensional.halini dapat dibuktikan dengan membandingkan nilai rata-rata postest kelompokeksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dimana nilai rata-rata postest kelompokeksperimen sebesar 72,75 lebih besar dari nilai rata-rata postest kelompok kontrolsebesar 57,75. sedangkan nilai rata-rata skor respon siswa terhadap pembelajaranmatematika dengan metode Student Facilitator and Explaining sebesar 3,44 yangmenunjukan bahwa respon siswa terhadap metode Student Facilitator and Explainingpositif.
