Abstract

Less attractive learning media causes low interest in student learning. So the need for concrete learning media following the stages of student development. This study aimed to create a valid and practical demonstration-based learning video on changing objects in the fifth grade of elementary school. This research is development research using the 4D model. The subjects of this study were two material experts, two media experts, two practitioners, and five students. The method used in data collection in this study is the rating scale method with an instrument in the form of a rating scale ranging from 1-4. The data obtained were analyzed by calculating the validity index of expert judgment and calculating the average response of practitioners and students. The analysis results showed that the material expert's validity index obtained the lowest score of 0.84 and the highest score was 1 with the very good category. The media expert validity index got the lowest score of 0.67 in the good category, and the highest score was 1, which is in the very good category. The overall average score of the practitioner's response was 3.82, and the student response was 3.78, which was in the very good category. Based on the results of this analysis, demonstration-based instructional video media on the topic of changing objects in fifth-grade elementary schools were declared good and suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact in various fields, including education. One of the government's efforts to break the chain of spreading COVID-19 is to carry out learning activities online for all levels of education. This study aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the learning motivation of fourth grade elementary school students. This type of research is descriptive research, with quantitative and qualitative techniques. The population of this study were all fourth grade students in elementary school, amounting to 186 students. Determination of the sample using saturated sample technique so that the sample used is 186 students. The research data were obtained using the non-test method, namely with interview guidelines and instruments in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire for student learning motivation. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis methods. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the learning process in grade IV SD during the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out in a combination of online and offline. Analysis of the motivation questionnaire data showed that the average student motivation, namely 79.71, was in the low / low category. So, it can be concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic has a negative impact on student learning motivation.

Abstract

The lack of availability of the assessment instruments used and the unfulfilled cognitive level C4-C6 resulted in the assessment carried out less than optimal. This study aimed to develop an instrument for assessing science learning outcomes based on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). This research was development research that uses a 4D model (four-D model) with development stages consisting of define, design, develop, and distribute. This development research was only carried out until the development stage. The subject of this research was the HOTS-based science learning outcome assessment instrument in the form of grids and multiple-choice test sheets. Data were obtained by using interviews, observation, and test methods. The validation of the assessment instrument was carried out by two material experts using a validation sheet and 78 students for a limited trial using multiple-choice objective test instruments. The results obtained will be analyzed for validity, reliability, discriminatory power, level of difficulty, and quality of distractors. The results of the analysis of the HOTS-based science learning outcome assessment instrument had a validity of 0.90 which was in the very high category, reliability of 0.81 which was in the very high category. Distinguishing analysis obtained 2 items with very good criteria, 14 items with good criteria, and 9 items with sufficient criteria. In the difficulty level test, 12 questions were obtained in the easy category and 13 questions in the medium category. Analysis of the distractor quality test found 63 distractors were at the >5% level, which means the distractors are functioning well and 12 distractors were at the 5% level, which means the distractors were not functioning properly. These results indicated that the HOTS-based science learning outcome test assessment instrument developed was valid and reliable and is suitable for use as an assessment instrument in various styles of material.

Abstract

There were still many teachers who had difficulty making student learning assessment instruments. The orientation of the learning carried out was still at the level of low-level thinking (remembering, memorizing, and understanding) so that students had low knowledge. This study aimed to develop an instrument for assessing science learning outcomes on Theme 8 based on Higher Order Thinking Skills. This type of research was development research. The model used in this study was 4D which is divided into four stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The techniques used in collecting data were observation, interviews, document recording, rating scales, and tests. The instrument used in collecting data was a questionnaire. The results of the study will be analyzed for validity, reliability, discriminating power, and level of difficulty, quality of distractors, practitioner responses, and student responses. Instruments designed to collect data were tested first to find out the instrument's validity. The results of the research were the analysis of the content validity test and the items were in very high criteria. Based on the results of the reliability test, the instrument being tested had a very high consistency. In the analysis of the quality of the distractor, the instrument functions well. In the analysis of practitioners' responses and student responses, the category was very good. It can be concluded that the instrument that assesses the science learning outcomes of theme 8 based on Higher Order Thinking Skills was valid and feasible to be used as an assessment instrument for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) yang terdapat dalam Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa Tema 1-9 Revisi 2017 Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.  Hal ini berdasarkan pada penggunaan Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa Revisi 2017 yang digunakan pada Kurikulum 2013. Pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematic) begitu populer di masa sekarang. Maka dari itu, dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan pembelajaran yang selama ini dilaksanakan dapat diperbarui dengan pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics). Dapat dilihat bahwa di dalam Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa sudah banyak yang berpotensi STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics), tinggal bagaiamana seorang guru dapat menerapkan pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) dalam kegiatan pembelajarannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang diarahkan untuk mengetahui potensi STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) yang terdapat dalam Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa Revisi 2017 Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Data yang diperoleh melalui data sekunder dari Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa Revisi 2017 Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar yang telah dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat fakta yang sudah berpotensi STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) dan fakta yang dipotensikan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics).. Fakta tersebut dapat dikembangkan dan diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics), agar kemampuan yang dimiliki peserta didik juga berkembang.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students are caused by the lack of thematic learning media. Therefore, this study aimed at developing simple monopoly learning media on the subtheme of animal movement organs. The design of this study was development research based on ADDIE model. The collected data in this study were qualitative and quantitative data. The subjects in this study were a material expert, a media expert, an instructional design expert, and a learning practitioner. The data were collected through questionnaire. Then, the collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitate method.  The results of this study show that the simple monopoly learning media developed is valid based on a review of material experts, reviews of learning media experts, and reviews of learning design experts with very good qualifications. Meanwhile, this learning media has good qualification to be used in thematic learning on the subtheme of animal movement organs. It is based on the result of teacher’s response to the developed media. It can be concluded that the monopoly learning media is suitable to in the thematic learning specially for learning animal movement organs. The implication of the result of this study is that it can help students be actively involved in meaningful and fun learning.

Abstract

The problem behind this research was the lack of learning resources for students in science subjects so that learning outcomes are less than optimal. This research was a research and development (research and development). The research trial subjects were fourth grade students. The data collection instrument used was in the form of an evaluation sheet (questionnaire). The data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the assessment of the e-module product were carried out based on six aspects, namely: content aspects of the field of study / with a percentage of achievement level of 86.00% with a predicate worthy; In terms of the learning design aspect, the percentage of achievement level is 87.60%, predicate worthy; In terms of the learning media aspect with the achievement level percentage of 89.00%, the predicate is feasible; in terms of the individual trial aspect, with the percentage level of achievement of 92.50% the predicate is very feasible; small group trial, with the percentage of achievement level of 94.50%, the predicate is very feasible, and in terms of the field trial aspect, the percentage of the achievement level is 95.50%, the predicate is very feasible. Thus the product in the form of e-module has a good level of validity and is suitable for use in the learning process on the subject force material of science subjects.

Abstract

Teachers do not apply interesting learning models that can stimulate students in learning. In addition, the lack of learning media that can facilitate students in learning has an impact on students' low science learning outcomes. This study aims to develop a learning video about Animal Movement Organs to improve students' understanding in learning. This type of research is development research. The model used to develop the product is ADDIE. Techniques that collect data are interviews and questionnaires. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire. The subjects of this study amounted to 4 experts. The analysis technique in this research is descriptive qualitative statistical analysis and descriptive quantitative. The results of the research are the test results from the content experts of the developed media subjects get a value of 4.71 (very good), the test results from the learning media experts get a value of 4.75 (very good) and the results of the validity test of the developed media teachers get a value of 4 .83 (very good). It can be concluded that the learning video media regarding animal movement organs based on video scribe is feasible to be applied in learning. The implication of this research is that the developed media can make it easier for students to understand the material of animal movement organs and can facilitate students in independent learning.

Abstract

In addition, the lack of learning media made it difficult for students to understand the subject matter. This study aimed to develop learning media based on sparkol video scribe to facilitate students in learning. The type of this research was development research and used the ADDIE model. Subjects in this study amounted to 5 people. The methods used in collecting data were observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The instrument used in collecting data was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this development research was using qualitative descriptive statistical analysis techniques and quantitative descriptive statistics. The study results showed that the expert test of the subjects developed got a very good category, learning design experts got a very good category, test results from learning media experts got a very good category. The results of individual trials got very good qualifications. It can be concluded that the media developed was feasible to be applied in learning. This research implies that the developed media can make it easier for students to understand science subject matter.

Abstract

This type of research is experimental quantitative research by comparing 4 classes using the PBL model. The sample in this study was 144 students from SD Negeri 156/I Bulian Baru and SD Negeri 001/I Pasar Muara Tembesi and MIS Darul Aufa and MIS Nurul Jadid. This study uses quantitative data analysis with the help of SPSS statistics 25, to find descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Important research is carried out as a reference for an educator in understanding the appropriate learning method or model for a lesson to be taught. This study aims to determine the comparison of student process skills and student responses to the PBL learning model in SD/MI, and to determine the relationship between student responses to student responses to the PBL learning model and student process skills. The results of the T test showed that in each school there were differences in process skills and student responses to the PBL learning model. The results of the correlation test in each school showed that the student's response to the student's response to the PBL learning model had an effect on the student's process skills.
