Abstract

One of the most common types of medical errors is medication errors and also considered one of the most preventable errors. Most of the prescriptions that are provided by doctors are still handwritten. Mistakes can occur very easily in handwritten prescriptions as well as the possibility of the pharmacist finding the handwriting illegible which can lead to the consumption of incorrect drugs and doses in patients. Usage of digital prescriptions or also known as e-prescription can reduce medication errors dramatically. First of all, it omits the possibility of illegible handwriting. Thus, the pharmacists can provide the correct medicine and doses to the patients. This study is conducted to show how Deep Learning can hugely contribute to providing a solution for medication errors and how it can create a marketplace for pharmacies that uses this advanced technology that directly connects the local pharmacy stores, diagnostic centers, and hospitals to fulfill patient’s extensive medical needs.

Abstract

Quality of life and methods of its measurement are topics that are quickly becoming the subject of both professional and social discussions based on the global supply chain. The basic idea of this article is to compare the quality of life in the Russian Federation and Germany. These are powerful economies that offer an interesting confrontation. We also contribute to this comparison using Slovakia as an example of the confrontation of large and economically strong countries with a small country. The main indicator for expressing the quality of human life in the article is the Human Development Index (HDI), based on which we used a comparative analysis. The first part of the article provides a theoretical framework and characteristics of indicators. In the second part of the article, we analyzed the 10-year development of the selected countries' indicators. The results show a positive trend in the growth of quality of life, where Germany is clearly the leader among the selected countries, and we can state the gradual slow convergence of the Russian and Slovak economy to the German one.

Abstract

This paper explores the influence of consumers product awareness, value perception, and trust in helping innovation performance of mineral water company. In order to clarify the relationships among these constructs, a structural equation model (SEM) is employed to examine the model fit and the three hypotheses. The results show that consumers product awareness and value perception is critical due to its influence on the consumers trust. The consumers trust exhibits a positive influence on the innovation performance. The research supports the existence of a more complex that the consumers trust partially mediates the relationships between product awareness and innovation performance. Moreover, the consumers trust also partially mediates the relationships between value perception and innovation performance. This study can enhance the innovation performance of mineral water company to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

Abstract - Security in the worldwide supply chain could really compare to ever. Driven by dangers, for example robbery, and burglary, it is likewise progressively muddled. It is important to advance opportune and proficient stream of genuine business while shielding and verifying the supply chain from abuse, and decreasing its helplessness to interruption. By far most of the misfortunes are owing to retail burglary. This makes retail robbery one of the most serious issues confronting independent company retailers today. The environment, atmosphere and flow of work in the FC were enchanting and cheerful which thus made the work effortless. Initial weeks were about understanding the core elements of the fulfillment centers and also understanding the operational aspects of the company and importantly the flow of the operational process

Abstract

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) has emerged as a new field of study which received much attention by the business houses and the researchers. Research shows that efficient SCM ensures on time arrival of raw materials at the production plant, prevents the need to source additional materials from alternative sources, avoids higher prices and guarantees higher profitability for the manufacturing company. This research develops a conceptual framework of the impact of SCM practices on operational performance in RMG industry of Bangladesh through literature review. In this study, six most important SCM practices and eight metrics for operational performances have been adapted from the prior literatures. This study found that there is a positive relationship between SCM practices and operational performances of RMG companies in Bangladesh.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of entrepreneurial orientation and halal orientation towards organizational performance among the micro-sized of food and beverages enterprises. Past literature showed a lesser amount of involvement of these enterprises that have been investigated so far towards their organizational performance. Therefore, this study aims to introduce and provide coverage related to entrepreneurial orientation and halal orientation among micro-sized enterprises. This study applies a quantitative method with a cross-sectional survey among the owners of the micro-sized enterprises located in the northern area of Kedah. Collection of data was done through a survey questionnaire via simple random sampling technique. The data were processed with SPSS (v.23). The results of reliability test and multiple regression analysis have shown that entrepreneurial orientation and halal orientation are indeed dissimilar in their effects on organization performance, but at the same time, they are connected to each other. It can be summarized that both of entrepreneurial orientation and halal orientation are important business strategies, but need to be investigated further. Since this is a pioneer study, more empirical works need to be done to clarify and generalize the population of micro-sized enterprises involve in halal F&B businesses in other states in Malaysia.

Abstract

This study aims to examines three elements shape leadership in Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) theory as a relationship and process. The goal of supply-chain management is to create a satisfied customer by coordinating all of the activities of the supply-chain members into a seamless process.  LMX quality is important for the company, because it relates to employee behavior and attitudes, including improving employee performance. The research method applied literature review using description logic and systematics. In this article the theory will be observed specially the effect of LMX on employee performance and antecedents of LMX. The results of the study found that the effect of LMX quality on performance is determined by the characteristics of the task as antecedent LMX in the company.

Abstract

AHP is one of important technology management tools for decision making that is used during technology selection process, and applied prior to acquisition of a new technology. In the last decade, AHP was discussed by numerous studies, covering wide-variety of areas, focusing on many criteria and sub-criteria, for the purposes of selecting, allocating, evaluating, or benchmarking different alternatives of technology. The use of AHP for selecting the source of renewable energy as the alternative for the non-renewable source of energy is important, especially to the environmental conscious’ end-users, or those who are living in the rural area. However, in the field of sustainable energy, AHP application for power generation focusing on the end-users is still limited. As a result, this study aims to develop an AHP model, by investigating the suitable group of criteria, sub-criteria, and alternatives that will suit the needs of the end-users. This model will helps the relevant parties to identify the most suitable sources of technology for power generation to solve the end-users’ needs. To do this, secondary data were collected from the relevant empirical studies. Based on the descriptive analysis, it was found that the previous studies have ranked and prioritized each of these criteria, sub-criteria, and alternatives differently, which implies a specific AHP model for the end-users should be developed. With the findings, this study has developed an AHP model comprising of four major criteria, each with three sub-criteria, and five alternatives. This model is being verified by an ongoing research in Malaysia.

Abstract

State-Owned Entities in South Africa remain the major contributor toward socio-economic objectives, the bottom line, quality, value creation and cost savings. Although the National Treasury's Office of the Chief Procurement Officer monitors and evaluates supply chain performance, there is inefficient guidance on executing supply chain performance measurements in state-owned entities. Therefore, this paper aims to suggest a supply chain performance framework suitable for State-Owned Entities in South Africa. The manuscript employs a theoretical literature review on supply chain performance measurement systems and associated metrics. Further study using mixed methods or qualitative research is recommended to understand better the connection between supply chain strategy, SCM regulatory frameworks, SCM practices, and SCM effectiveness. The paper presents a framework that adequately implements supply chain performance measurement in state-owned entities. The study's main limitation was that it was restricted to SOEs registered with the SOEPF; more extraordinary samples from various SOEs would have been ideal. It is recommended that supply chain managers in state-owned entities carefully select supply chain performance measures.
