Abstract

Community service entitled Training on Making Miniature Fishing Boats Made of Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) for Students of SMKN 1 Tambakboyo, Tuban City With the background of the existence of Tuban City as one of the coastal areas which is still trying to develop its community resources in the marine sector. Several vocational schools in Tuban have opened shipping and shipping engineering majors. Generally, these SMK students are taught how to operate supporting equipment for repair or management of ship transportation according to industrial needs. The purpose of this community service is to provide skills to students, especially at SMKN 1 Tambakboyo Tuban on how to make miniature fishing boats made of Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP). Through shipbuilding skills that are more efficient in operation, it is hoped that the next generation of fishermen will have economic competitiveness because they are able to produce and use ships as efficient fishing facilities. The training was conducted online on Sunday 27 September 2020. The number of training participants was 53 participants from several schools in Tuban.

Abstract

This paper explores the influence of consumers product awareness, value perception, and trust in helping innovation performance of mineral water company. In order to clarify the relationships among these constructs, a structural equation model (SEM) is employed to examine the model fit and the three hypotheses. The results show that consumers product awareness and value perception is critical due to its influence on the consumers trust. The consumers trust exhibits a positive influence on the innovation performance. The research supports the existence of a more complex that the consumers trust partially mediates the relationships between product awareness and innovation performance. Moreover, the consumers trust also partially mediates the relationships between value perception and innovation performance. This study can enhance the innovation performance of mineral water company to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

Kapal Bantu Rumah Sakit atau BRS adalah salah satu kapal bangunan baru yang diproduksi oleh PT. PAL Indonesia. Proses pembangunan kapal tidak hanya tentang konstruksi maupun bangunan kapal, adapun proses dimana juga saling melengkapi dalam proses pembangunan kapal, yaitu proses pengecatan kapal. Proses pengecatan atau painting dilakukan sebagai lapisan atau proteksi yang dapat melindungi permukaan material dari lingkungan disekitarnya terutama dalam pengendalian korosi pada material. Dalam proses painting block Kapal Bantu Rumah Sakit diperlukan perencanaan perhitungan kebutuhan material dan perhitungan kebutuhan jam orang. Proses pengecatan menggunakan alat yaitu airless spray, kuas dan roll. Dari perhitungan perencanaan dilakukan perbandingan dengan kebutuhan aktual dilapangan yaitu pada bengkel bbs pada divisi kapal niaga. Namun pada kasus yang sering ditemui adalah nilai yang direncanakan dalam sistem perhitungan perencanaan tersebut tidak sesuai dengan keadaan pada aktual dilapangan terutama pada bagian kebutuhan material dan biaya. Dari hasil penelitian, didapatkan hasil perbandingan pada jenis material Jotaprime, 500 sebanyak 12 pail, Alkydprimer, red sebanyak 17 pail, jenis Alkydprimer, grey sebanyak 1 pail dan thinner 02 sebanyak 17 liter, thinner 17 sebanyak 32 liter. Total jam orang (JO) sebanyak 392 dengan total biaya tenaga kerja selama 29 hari yaitu sebesar Rp 25.385.150.

Abstract

CV. Bee Digital Prestasi Nusantara selalu membuka lowongan untuk mengisi pos jabatan fungsional maupun non-fungsional perusahaan dengan jumlah pelamar yang dipastikan meningkat setiap tahunnya. Namun, proses seleksi yang bersifat konvesional menyebabkan tidak tercapainya target yang ditetapkan perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyajikan sebuah solusi berupa sistem berbasis web dengan pendekatan metode Multi Attribute Utility Theory untuk memberikan kemudahan dalam proses seleksi karyawan di CV. Bee Digital Prestasi Nusantara. Pendekatan metode Multi Attribute Utility Theory memberikan solusi berupa rekomendasi hasil akhir dari proses seleksi yang dilakukan dengan cara melakukan penilaian melalui beberapa alternatif dan sub-alternatif dikalikan bobot. yang telah ditentukan perusahaan. Pendekatan metode tersebut terbagi menjadi beberapa tahapan: (1) Submisi dan Tes (2) Perhitungan Nilai, Kriteria dan Bobot (3) Perangkingan. Penerapan metode MAUT dapat memberikan keputusan yang efektif terhadap rekrutmen calon karyawan yang diterima perusahaan. Hasil percobaan dari penelitian diatas menunjukkan bahwa dengan mengunakan metode diatas mampu mempercepat proses rekruitmen dan dapat dengan cepat menentukan calon karyawan yang sesuai dengan kriteria perusahaan dibandingkan dengan cara yang konvensional.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2010 Kementrian kelautan dan perikanan Republik Indonesia memiliki program pemberian bantuan kepada nelayan berupa kapal ikan. Kapal tersebut berbahan dasar fiberglass atau bisa disebut dengan material Fiberglass reinforced Plastic (FRP) dan kayu. Desa Tanjung Widoro merupakan pesisir yang terletak didaerah kepulauan Mengare yang berada di kabupaten Gresik. Mayoritas pekerjaan utama masyarakat daerah tersebut yaitu sebagai nelayan. Kapal yang digunakan daerah tersebut yaitu kapal kayu yang pada umumnya kapal tersebut harus melakukan docking kapal 2 kali dalam satu bulan. Proses docking ini membutuhkan waktu 2-3 hari yang tentunya menghambat kegiatan nelayan untuk mencari ikan. Sampai saat ini nelayan di daerah Mengare tidak mau menggunakan kapal pemberian dari pemerintah karena masyarakat nelayan masih meyakini bahwa kapal kayu lebih kuat daripada kapal FRP. Sehingga untuk memperkenalkan material FRP kepada masyarakat perlu dilakukan pelatihan tentang penggunaan material FRP untuk bahan perkuatan kapal kayu. Diharapkan pelatihan ini nantinya mampu merubah pemikiran masyarakat dan membuat nelayan mau beralih ke kapal FRP. Fiberglass juga diharapkan mampu memperkuat kapal kayu yang saat ini digunakan oleh nelayan dan akan mampu mengurangi waktu docking kapal. Inovasi ini merupakan pelapisan kayu dengan mengunakan material fiber atau biasa disebut dengan “komposit sandwich”.

Abstract

The largest shipbuilding company in Indonesia has a business in the development and design capabilities of Warships and Commercial Ships; construction and maintenance, repair and Overhaul (MRO) of Submarines, Warships, Commercial Ships; and maritime products such as General Engineering, energy and electrification products, and Technology Development. It has several divisions, one of which is the supply chain division. The business processes applied to the supply chain division is service procurement department for the ship maintenance and repair business which are still running less effectively. The problem that is often experienced in this business process is the mismatch between the business process flowchart and the reality on the ground which causes delays in the issuance of service procurement contracts. To analyze the service procurement process in the ship maintenance and repair business, this study uses the Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) method. From the results of quality factors that are still not in accordance with the company's target, a root cause will be carried out using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), namely fishbone analysis. After finding the root of the problem, this research produces a proposal for improving business processes using Business Process Improvement (BPI). The results of the business process analysis of the issuance of service procurement contracts resulted in the calculation of three quality factors that did not match the target and realization, the three quality factors were Resource Efficiency of 90%, Availableness of 50%, and Cycle Time of 29 days.

Abstract

The ferry service company operates in sea transportation with several routes, including Surabaya – Balikpapan. The number of routes is directly linked to passenger volume, making it essential to ensure service quality meets passenger expectations. A decline in passenger numbers has been observed, mainly due to numerous complaints from company-conducted surveys. This decline in trust has caused passengers to switch to other operators. This study analyzes service gaps, determines acceptable service tolerance levels, and prioritizes necessary improvements. The SERVQUAL method assessed the gap between service performance and passenger expectations, showing negative gaps for 26 attributes. This indicates the company’s performance falls short of expectations. The Zone of Tolerance (ZOT) identified minimum acceptable service levels, with thresholds ranging from 0.10 to 1.36. Twenty-one attributes were below these thresholds. Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) was used to recommend service quality improvements by mapping attribute priorities in a Cartesian diagram. Seven attributes in Quadrant I were identified as top priorities for enhancement.

Abstract

The method of working vacuum infusion in the shipyard in Indonesia has not beenmaximally. Due to the large number of equipment required, resulting in shipyard owners still usinghand lay-up methods in the process. But in fact the vacuum infunsion method has many advantagesamong lighter and stronger ships, from the cost-savings due to fewer labor costs, faster executiontime. In analyzing the above problems using several stages of research and testing. In this studyincludes the required specifications for the suction speed used in the vacuum pump. While in thetesting phase is in the test whether the compressor can function in vacuum and compression. Basedon the result of the final assignment study entitled the design of two systems for vacuum andcompression in a tool used for vacuum infusion in the fiber vessel lamination process resulted in thatthe compressor can be used for compression and vacuum but can not be used simultaneously shouldswitch between its use between vacuum and compression. While the pressure generated by thecompressor for vacuum infusion is - 0.077 bar.

Abstract

AutoCAD is a vital computer-aided design (CAD) tool widely used in civil engineering, architecture, and manufacturing. Mastery of AutoCAD programming significantly enhances the industrial competitiveness of vocational high school (SMK) graduates. This study aims to implement AutoCAD programming training for students at SMK PGRI 4 Surabaya to improve their technical competence and efficiency in using AutoCAD. Employing a project-based learning model, the research evaluated student outcomes through pre- and post-tests. The results indicate a 45% improvement in students’ technical proficiency, particularly in automating repetitive tasks and developing structured design templates using AutoLISP and VBA. The training also enhanced students' ability to create complex technical models and improved their overall design efficiency and problem-solving skills. In addition to technical gains, the training fostered the development of essential soft skills, including teamwork, communication, and creativity, through collaborative, real-world design projects. These findings highlight the effectiveness of integrating AutoCAD programming into vocational curricula to better align with industry needs. Key contributions of this study include: the application of a structured, project-based training model combining CAD and automation programming; empirical evidence of AutoCAD programming’s impact on student readiness for engineering and manufacturing careers; and the dual emphasis on technical and soft skill development, an area often underrepresented in prior research. The study offers practical recommendations for vocational schools to embed programming into CAD instruction, ensuring graduates possess industry-relevant competencies aligned with Industry 4.0 demands

Abstract

Pemanfaatan limbah organik perairan sebagai bahan baku alternatif menjadi salah satu strategi dalam mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan dan ketahanan pangan. Salah satu potensi besar yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal adalah eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes), gulma air yang banyak ditemukan di wilayah Surabaya–Sidoarjo dan sering menjadi penyebab pencemaran serta penyumbatan aliran sungai. Sementara itu, komposisi pakan ternak komersial umumnya masih mengandung bahan kimia, dengan pemanfaatan bahan alami bernutrisi tinggi yang belum maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan inovasi pelet pakan ternak berbasis eceng gondok sebagai bahan utama, menggunakan pendekatan metode SCAMPER (Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to another use, Eliminate, Rearrange). SCAMPER digunakan sebagai metode analisis data dan strategi kreatif dalam pengembangan produk, mencakup pemilihan bahan, proses pengolahan, hingga strategi pemasaran. Hasil Penelitian pengembangan produk inovasi menggunakan SCAMPER menghasilkan proses produksi dilakukan secara tradisional namun terstruktur, meliputi pencucian, fermentasi, pengeringan menggunakan oven atau solar dryer, dan pencetakan pelet siap pakai. Eceng gondok di fermentasi untuk meningkatkan kandungan nutrisinya, kemudian ada tambahan bahan daun pepaya dan kangkung. Kombinasi ketiga bahan dipilih karena mengandung protein nabati, vitamin, serat, dan antioksidan yang mendukung kesehatan ternak seperti ayam, kambing, dan sapi. Hasil produk inovasi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan alternatif pakan ternak yang ekonomis, ramah lingkungan, dan bernutrisi tinggi, sekaligus menjadi solusi pengendalian gulma air yang berdampak negatif pada ekosistem perairan.
