Jurnal Pendidikan Biologi adalah adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk mewadahi artikel-artikel hasil penelitian dan hasil pengabdian masyarakat dibidang pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Abstract

Pengguna ruang kelas sering kali mengabaikan intensitas pencahayaan ruang kelas saat proses pembelajaran. Intensitas pencahayaan ruang kelas yang tidak memenuhi standar dapat menyebabkan kelelahan mata dan kebosanan belajar peserta didik. Hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan cara melakukan perbaikan pencahayaan ruang kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbaikan pencahayaan di ruang kelas dapat menurunkan kelelahan mata dan kebosanan belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran biologi di SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental semu (quasi experimental) dengan rancangan sama subjek (treatment by subject design) dengan pola randomized pre and post test group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Utara. Sampel penelitian merupakan peserta didik kelas XI tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang masuk dalam kriteria inklusi. Ditetapkan 25 orang peserta didik sebagai sampel penelitian yang dipilih melalui pengambilan sampel secara acak sederhana. Kelelahan mata dan kebosanan beajar didata menggunakan kuesioner yang telah tervalidasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t dependent sample dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan bermakna pada kelelahan mata sebesar 38,53% (p<0,05) dan kebosanan belajar peserta didik sebesar 67,43% (p<0,05%) antara sebelum dan sesudah perbaikan pencahayaan di ruang kelas. Disimpulkan bahwa perbaikan pencahayaan di ruang kelas dapat menurunkan kelelahan mata dan kebosanan belajar peserta didik. Disarankan agar para pengguna ruang kelas memerhatikan intensitas pencahayaan di ruang kelas untuk menghindari terjadinya kelelahan mata dan kebosanan belajar.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui KPS mahasiswa calon guru biologi Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi IKIP PGRI Pontianak pada praktikum Sistematika Avertebrata. Penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga kali kegiatan Praktikum. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, sedangkan sampel terdiri dari 66 orang mahasiswa semester III dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi untuk mengamati KPS dan tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar mahasiswa. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil uji analisis menggunakan program SPSS 22 diketahui bahwa nilai sig. Kolmogorov Smirnov diperoleh 0,200* untuk Pre test dan 0,060 untuk Post test, dimana nilai sig. lebih besar dari 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel berdistribusi normal. Sedangkan pada hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran praktikum sistematika avertebrata berbasis KPS tergolong baik dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Tahun Akademik 2018/2019.

Abstract

Production process of pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan (L) Millsp.) tempeh  follows several treatment including peeled off, soaked, boiled, and fermented which cause changes of the antioxidant content of pigeon pea (C. cajan (L) Millsp.). pigeon pea is used as the main material for tempeh fermentation in this study which aims to analyze the the changes of antioxidant content in pigeon pea during each treatment. Antioxidant content was analyzed by DPPH phytochemical compound qualitative and quantitative detection. During the soaking process, reduction of antioxidant content was observed. Prior to soaking step, pigeon pea had 9,090% of antioxidant content, this reduced to 9,020% after soaking process and decrease further to 6,146% after boiling process and decrease to 3.236% after fermentation process. Gude seed has a fenolik and flavonoid while tempeh gude has saponin and falvonoid. Soaking, boiling, and fermentation process has proven to reduce the antioxidant content of pigeon pea..

Abstract

AbstractThe environment can be used as a learning resource to increase knowledge. One of the learning resources that can be found in the environment is plants. Biology learning has great potential in utilizing the environment as a learning resource. One of the uses of learning resources from the environment is by using research results.This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study carried out through the analysis method of potential learning resources. The results of the research are analyzed for their potential as a learning resource by looking at the requirements of the research results as a learning resource which includes clarity of the potential availability of objects and problems raised, conformity with learning objectives, material objectives and their designation, information to be disclosed, exploration guidelines, and acquisitions to be achieved.The results of this study indicate that (1) The results of research on the potential of leaf epidermis and its derivatives in the Palmae family along Parangtritis Beach to Depok Beach as a source of learning biology can be used as a source of learning biology because it is in accordance with the requirements of research results as a learning resource. (2) It is necessary to follow up to package / develop environment-based biology teaching materials that are tailored to the learning needs and characteristics of students through the research & development (R&D) method.Keywords: Epidermis and derivatives 1; Palmae 2; Learning resources 3; AbstrakLingkungan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar untuk menambah pengetahuan. Sumber belajar yang dapat ditemukan di lingkungan salah satunya adalah tumbuhan. Pembelajaran biologi memiliki potensi yang besar dalam memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar. Salah satu pemanfaatan sumber belajar dari lingkungan yaitu dengan menggunakan hasil penelitian.Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deksriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan melalui metode analisis potensi sumber belajar. Hasil penelitian dianalisis potensinya sebagai sumber belajar dengan melihat syarat hasil penelitian sebagai sumber belajar yang meliputi kejelasan potensi ketersediaan objek dan permasalahan yang diangkat, kesesuaian dengan tujuan belajar, sasaran materi dan peruntukannya, informasi yang akan diungkap, pedoman eksplorasi, perolehan yang akan dicapai.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Hasil penelitian tentang potensi epidermis daun dan derivatnya pada famili Palmae di sepanjang Pantai Parangtritis sampai Pantai Depok sebagai sumber belajar biologi dapat dijadikan sumber belajar biologi karena sesuai dengan persyaratan hasil penelitian sebagai sumber belajar. Abstract

Bali is an island that rely on tourism as its main economy sources. Most of Bali’s tourism destination are in the form of Cultural tourism. Traditional ceremony as a part of culture in Bali held a main factor on supporting Bali’s tourism. Traditional ceremonies in Bali is variated started from giving birth, teenage ceremony, weeding and death. One of the most ceremony attract a lot of tourist each year to watch and visiting Bali is Bali’s Ngaben ceremony. Ngaben as one of the most touristic ceremony in Bali requires a lot of items such as plants and animals as it’s offering. To fulfill the need of plants for Ngaben, society need to culture and cultivated the plants in which needed for the ceremony. People of Penglipuran village, Bangli has divided their village into 3 main part called Tri Mandala. This division causing the plants that planted on each mandala or area are variated and diersified.However, there are no record about the knowledge and behaviour of Penglipuran village, Bangli in accordance to conservation and preservation of plant used in Ngaben ceremony. Hence, data about knowledge and behaviour of the conservation and preservation of plant used in Ngaben ceremony in Penglipuran, Bangli is essential to take futures step on the continuity of the ceremony and tourism. Therefore, the aim of this research is to know the knowledge and behaviour of people on Penglipuran village, Bangli in accordance to conservation and preservation of Ngaben ceremonial plant. This research using purposive sampling techinque in which 5 people were choosen to be key informan and 30 components of the society were choose to be given a quitioner. The result of the research found 31 species of plant used in Ngaben were found among 47 species of plants used in Ngaben at Penglipuran, Village Bangli. Peoples knowledge and attitudes regarding conservation and preservation of Ngaben ceremonial plant is considerably excellent with score for ach component on the society for the knowledge parameter as follows; government with score of 41,  village’s leader with score of 45.4, and 45,2 for society. Meanwhile, for behaviour, the score for government is 102, village’s leader is 97 and society is 93.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was applied research that aim to apply flipped learning of Microbiology material integrated with the Learning Management System in online lectures during the Covid 19 Pandemic. This research is applied to the Human Health Science course, both class A and class B, which is attended by 80 Biology Education Study Program students. 2019 and held from August to October 2020 in the Biology Education Study Program at Sanata Dharma University. The step of implementing flipped learning begins with preparing RPS, video explanation of lecture material using o-matic screencast, journal, virtual lab, practicum simulation video using filmix, quiz using quizizz, and assessment rubric. Furthermore, the material and media are linked to Moodle (belajar.usd.ac.id). The data analyzed in this study included assignment scores, quizzes, and online lecture evaluation results. The results of the research obtained were the value of the assignment in the form of analysis of 3 microbiology journals, the mean score for class A was 81.4 and class B was 71.7, while the average quiz score for class A was 79.2 and class B was 76.6. The results of the overall learning evaluation class A 3,4, while class B 3.5. The application of flipped learning on the integrated Microbiology Learning Management System material based on the results of the evaluation of learning is categorized as very good.Keywords: flipped learning, microbiology, learning management system

Abstract

Reptilia merupakan kelompok hewan darat pertama yang sepanjang hidupnya bernafas dengan paru-paru, bersisik, serta telurnya mempunyai cangkang. Terdapat tiga ordo Reptilia yang dapat ditemukan di Indonesia yaitu Crocodilia, Testudinata, dan Squamata. Ordo Squamata merupakan ordo terbesar yang terdiri dari 722 spesies di antaranya mencakup sub ordo Lacertilia dan terdiri atas famili Iguanidae, Agamidae, Varanidae, Scincidae, Chamelonidae, dan Gekkonidae. Tokek adalah nama umum untuk menyebut cicak besar atau spesies kadal dari anggota famili Gekkonidae yang secara sempit merujuk pada spesies dari anggota genus Gekko. Pola kemiripan antar spesies anggota genus Gekko di Indonesia perlu diketahui sehingga tujuan konservasinya semakin mudah dilaksanakan. Tujuan dari pengamatan ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakter morfologi anggota genus Gekko berdasarkan spesimen Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense Puslit Biologi-LIPI. Analisis data berdasarkan prosedur Similarity for Qualitative Data (SIMQUAL) yang selanjutnya dilakukan pengelompokkan Sequential Angglomerative, Hierarachial, and Nested (SAHN) dengan metode Unweighted Pair Group Method with Aritmethic Average (UPGMA) menggunakan program komputer Numerical Taxonomy and Multivariate Analysis System (NTSYSpc) 2.02 untuk menentukan kekerabatan antarspesies. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 24 sampe Gekko yang tergolong dalam 4 spesies berbeda, yaitu Gekko gecko, Gekko smithii, Gekko monarchus, dan Gekko vittatus dengan 14 karakter morfologi: Dorsal Tubercles (DTR), Gender (GD), Granulars on Throat (GOT), Nuchal Loop (NL), Post-Mental (PM), Precloacal Pores (PP), Precloacal-Femoral Pores (PFP), Rostral-Nostril (RN), Snout Vent Length 100 (SVL), Subcaudal Devided (SCD), Tail-Depressed (TDR), dan Tail Tubercles (TT). Hasil matriks kemiripan morfologi 4 spesies Gekko memiliki nilai koefisien fenotipik (Kf) tertinggi sejumlah 0,68 yang menandakan hubungan korelasi sedang. Empat spesies Gekko yang diamati membentuk 2 kelompok besar, yaitu kelompok I yang terdiri atas Gekko gecko, G. smithii, dan G. monarchus, sedangkan kelompok II hanya berisi G. vittatus; kelompok I dan II dibedakan berdasarkan karakter subcaudal not devided dan tidak adanya Y-pattern pada kelompok I.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Utilization of plant species by the community in Wanagiri Village, (2) Composition of useful plant species, and (3) Conservation of plant species based on local wisdom of the community in Wanagiri Village. The type and design of this research is descriptive exploratory. This research was conducted in the Taman Gumi Banten Forest, Wanagiri Village. The samples in this study include ecosystem parameters and sociocytem parameters, samples on ecosystem parameters, namely useful plants found in 86 squares with a size of 1 x 1 meter for seedlings, 10 x 10 meters for saplings and poles, 20 x 20 meters for trees, and sociocytem parameters, namely 20 people from 2 official village officials, 3 community leaders, 5 general public, 3 senior officials, and 7 STT people. The results of this study are: (1) All ceremonial plants are used as ceremonial infrastructure, (2) The composition of useful plant species belongs to 34 families which are dominated by bananas (Musa paradisiaca), (3) Plant conservation efforts can be carried out by applying wisdom local, religious aspects, myths, and local village awig-awig.

Abstract

This study aims to see the quality of the items of Biology class VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 6 Kerinci about the respiration system using the Anates version 4. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach and data analysis techniques are carried out by using a test technique in the form of questions about the respiration system in question. item in multiple choice form. The population in this study were all students of class VIII Kerinci as many as 40 students. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. Data analysis used Anates version 4 computer program for windows. The results showed that the level of validity of the questions was 0.43; the reliability level of the questions is high, namely 0.61; sufficient distinguishing power, namely 36%; medium difficulty level, namely 88%; and the quality of the outwit is 100% excellent.

Abstract

Environmental problems are a major threat to human survival. Humans have created agencies and institutions that manage the environment, but there are still human activities that have a big impact on the environment, such as the large number of jobs that make environmental conditions worse. These problems cause ethical dilemmas in environmental research. Gaps in research and scientific ethics are important issues in the environmental field. To make ends meet, humans do not need to sacrifice their environment. To solve environmental problems requires natural science and technology combined with ethics to maximize these goals. This article is written as a solution to develop human morality and awareness by researching the following environmental ethics. Increasing the level of awareness can help increase human compliance in implementing laws related to environmental protection. Based on literature studies, current environmental problems can be overcome by changing the way humans perceive and behave towards nature. Ethical dilemmas in environmental research can be overcome by 1) efforts to improve morale, ethics and environmentally friendly research actions, 2) the importance of environment-based education and learning, and 3) environmental impact analysis (AMDAL).
