Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence with student learning outcomes in biology subject. The method used in this research is correlational quantitative. The population of this study was all 8 classes of XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya for the academic year 2022/2023 and the sample used were class XI MIPA 2 and XI MIPA 3 with 63 students taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was an emotional intelligence questionnaire adapted from The Schutte Self Report Emotional Intellegence Test (SSEIT) with 26 statements consisting three indicators including appraisal and expression of emotion, regulation of emotion, and utilization of emotion. While the data on learning outcomes is measured on the cognitive aspect using the midterm assessment scores obtained from the biology teacher in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya. This study uses data analysis statistical pearson bivariate correlation test. The result of the study show that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence with student learning outcomes in biology subject in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya for the academic year 2022/2023 positively and significantly with a correlation coefficient of 0,632 which the relationship is in the strong category. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between cognitive learning outcomes and retention of Taekas State Senior High School students in the matter of the circulatory system. The research was conducted on January 16-30 2023. The population in this study were all Taekas State High School students consisting of 627 students. The sample of this research was students of class XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 2 of SMA Negeri Taekas which consisted of 50 students. The data were obtained from the post test and retention test which were carried out two weeks after the post test was carried out. Research data were analyzed using SPSS V25 with regression correlation analysis. The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between cognitive learning outcomes and student retention. The contribution made by cognitive learning outcomes to student retention is 98.2%, with a correlation coefficient of 0.983. Based on the results of the regression test Y = 0.9837x - 8.6278.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the project-based learning model on critical thinking skills and collaboration skills in biotechnology material in class XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Taraju. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The research population was all class XII MIPA, namely 127 students. With the sampling technique that is purposive sampling so that a sample of 64 people is obtained. The instrument consists of test instruments and non-test instruments. The test is in the form of 16 essay questions to measure critical thinking skills. The non-test is in the form of 24 statement items in the form of a questionnaire to measure collaboration skills. The data analysis technique uses the ANOVA test. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of the project-based learning model on critical thinking skills and collaboration skills indicated by a significance value of less than 0.05, which is equal to 0.00. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the project-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills and collaboration skills in biotechnology material in class XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Taraju even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan problem based learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMPK Frateran Ndao. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPK Frateran Ndao. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik probability sampling dengan tipe simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS 26.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian adalah bahwa penerapanproblem based learning berbasis outdoor learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMPK Frateran Ndao.

Abstract

The problem that we often face in the surrounding environment is in the form of garbage that is everywhere. The waste problem itself occurs not only among households but also often occurs on campuses. As we know, there are many ways that we can use to manage waste, for example, waste can be processed into environmentally friendly products or compost. This study aims to determine the responses of biology education students regarding the resolution of environmental pollution problems at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method, with the research instrument using data in the form of a questionnaire, and the respondents were all active semester IV students of FITK biology education.

Abstract

The world of education has many ways for students to absorb various kinds of knowledge. Methods, tools and materials in learning are all included in the learning model. Learning models in the world of education are very varied. However, the learning model focuses more on students' understanding of the subject matter. Even though in the 21st century students are more demanded to have soft skills and hard skills. One of the soft skills needed is student skills in collaborating and leading. For this reason, the purpose of this study was to determine the influence of learning models on the level of collaboration and leadership skills of students. In this study, the model used was Collaborative Discovery Learning based on I-SETS for the experimental class and Discovery Learning for the control class. The results of this study found that I-SETS-based CDL learning can improve students' collaboration and leadership skills. I-SETS-based CDL when compared to discovery learning proved that there was a significant increase of 0.031 <0.05 with a t-count of 2,197 > 1,667 in collaboration skills. For leadership skills there is an increased significance of 0.048 <0.05 with a t-count of 2.015 > 1.667 t-table. This is like previous research that SETS-based discovery learning can improve students' collaboration skills.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah ini adalah siswa belum sepenuhnhya menerapkan sikap peduli lingkungan. Kesadaran siswa terhadap kepedulian lingkungan masih sangat rendah. Hal itu, bisa terlihat berdasarkan sikap siswa yang masih suka membuang sampah sembarangan. Sikap siswa tersebut menunjukkan bahwa karakter peduli lingkungan siswa masih belum terbentuk. Karakter yang baik dapat dibentuk melalui pendidikan, salah satunya melalui pendidikan karakter yang terintegrasi pada pembelajaran IPA. Hal tersebut merupakan tujuan dari penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan menggunakan sampel 10 siswa kelas rendah dan 10 siswa kelas tinggi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semua sampel sudah mempunyai karakter peduli lingkungan melalui pembelajaran IPA. Oleh karena itu pembelajaran IPA dapat membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan dengan cara menggunakan metode PjBL (Project Based Learning).

Abstract

Pekalongan is an area that has a fairly long coastline because it is located on the northern coastline of Central Java. However, there is still not much research related to beach conditions in Pekalongan. One of the Depok beach tours in Pekalongan Regency has also not been explored much, especially regarding the study of the diversity of marine life in the area. Marine biota that are often found in coastal areas are clams (Bivalvia). Therefore this study aims to measure the diversity of bivalves in the coastal tourism area of Depok, Pekalongan Regency. The method used is the quadrant method by adopting a sampling transect schematic. Data analysis used the Shanon-Weiber diversity index, evenness index, and dominance index. The results of the study found that there were 13 species consisting of 7 genera, 6 families, and 5 orders with a total of 224 individuals of Bivalvia. Diversity index value -2.126.. Evenness index value -0.829. The dominance index value is 0.153. The low index values for diversity, evenness, and dominance are influenced by environmental factors and human activity factors.

Abstract

Research on the development of the biopedia magazine on biodiversity material, especially grasshoppers, is based on thisbecause there is still a lack of understanding of students in class X IPA MA Informatics Darul ulum Candi Wates Prigen andlearning resources in the form of biology LKS books are also still general and not specificWates Prigen and learning resourcesin the form of biology LKS books are also still general and not specific.This research and development aims to determine thefeasibility and preferences of the diversity of grasshopper class X IPA in MA Informatics Darul ulum Candi wates Prigen.This Biopedia magazine was developed using the Research and Development (R&D) research method using the 4D procedurewhich was developed by Melvyn I. in 1974. In this research it was limited to stage 3, namely develop (development), namelyproduct trials. The test subjects in this study were 1 material expert lecturer, 1 media expert lecturer, 1 biology teacher and 26students of class X IPA MA Informatics Darul ulum Candi wates Prigen. The instrument used was a feasibility and preferencevalidation questionnaire on the biopedia magazine.Based on the results of the material expert validation it was found that theproduct developed obtained very feasible criteria with a feasibility percentage of 87.77%, media experts obtained very feasiblecriteria with a feasibility percentage of 86.66%, the biology teacher's assessment obtained very practical eligibility criteriawith a practicality percentage of 91% and student response tests obtained a preference percentage of 83.88% so that biopdiamagazine about biodiversity, especially grasshoppers for class X IPA at MA Informatics Darul Ulum candi wates is veryfeasible and practical to use as a learning resource in learning activities.

Abstract

Learning activities are very important in learning. Learning will be successful if students are actively involved in learning, so we need a learning model that can enhance learning activities. This classroom action research aims to increase students' learning activities through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This research was conducted for two cycles by applying three stages of lesson study namely plan, do, and see. The research participants were class XII students at a high school in Malang City, consisting of 10 students. Data collection was obtained by class observation. The treatment in this study is the application of the PBL model in learning. The dependent variable in the study is learning activity which is measured based on the proportion of learning activities carried out by students. The research results show that the application of the PBL model. The research results in each learning cycle obtained the proportion of learning activities in the first cycle of 55% and second cycle of 83%. Research shows that the PBL model is effective for increasing learning activities in students. This study also emphasizes the importance of student learning activities during learning.
