Abstract

AIDS is one of mayor health problem in the world, commonly caused by Human Immunodeficiancy virus 1 (HIV-1).  Reverse transcriptase is the target of the most widely used treatments for AIDS. One of the problem from treatments is drug resistant. This research aim to discover a new potential drug’s candidate from natural compound to inhibit activity of HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase. Top ten compounds from Specs Natural Products database as the result of virtual screening by MTIOpenScreen are docked and analyzed using Pyrx 0.8 software. Based on analysis and visualization of 2D and 3D sructure using LigPlus and PyMol softwares, known that ZINC57657 (-8 Kcal/mol)and common drug against HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase, Lamivudine (-5,6 Kcal/mol) equally capable to bind in several amino acids (Thr 131 and Gln 23) located in the active site of HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase. Keywords: Drug’s candidate; HIV 1 reverse transcriptase; natural compounds; virtual screening

Abstract

Tulakan Village, located in Pacitan Regency, has high potential to be developed, that is coconut water. However, people here have not yet empowered coconut water since coconut water is considered to be a waste, accordingly, it is necessary to hold a counseling activity on processing coconut water into more valuable and useful products. Alternatively, coconut water can be processed into nata de coco. The outreach activities include three stages: preparation, implementation and evaluation. These community service activities are able to increase public awareness and understanding that goods that are considered waste can be transformed into products that have more added value (add value) with the presence of relevant creativity and skills. Eventually, people in this village will be able to process coconut water into nata de coco, as well as knowing the benefits of nata de coco for health.

Abstract

Public speaking skills still need to be wholly owned by students. This reluctance to appear publicly is due to low self-confidence and minimal mastery of public speaking techniques. This inability causes communication that should be effective to be degraded. There often needs to be more clarity in communication in public. These misconceptions are documented and spread all over the web. Santri also becomes vulnerable to acts of bullying or bullying in cyberspace. This Community Service activity by the UIN Walisongo International KKN team, held at Ma'had Tahfiz Darul Falah Selangor, aims to assist students at the ma'had. Hence, they have good public speaking skills using the coaching clinic method. The results of this activity indicated that students who initially had low public speaking skills experienced an increase in their public speaking skills following the mentoring activities for learning to speak in public. This is indicated by students' positive responses while participating in the action, and the questionnaire results related to students' perceptions of the activity.

Abstract

Adolescence is important for students because it transitions from childhood to adulthood. Knowledge about changes in adolescence, especially adolescents in Islamic boarding schools regarding adolescent reproductive health, is still low, so it needs to be improved. This service aims to increase the knowledge of service partners, especially students in Islamic boarding schools, regarding adolescent reproductive health. This devotion used the ABCD method, which consists of five stages: inculturation, discovery, design, definition, and reflection. This service program is carried out in July–August 2022. Service partners are students from classes X, XI, and XII. The service program is carried out with a learning model of team games tournaments (TGT) assisted by crossword puzzles and learning videos. Service data were obtained using pre- and post-tests regarding adolescent reproductive health. The data obtained are analyzed qualitatively and descriptively. The service results showed that counselling activities using crossword puzzle media and learning videos increased the knowledge of service partners by an average of 8.41.
