Abstract

Students' cognitive development must be considered during the learning process, the use of learning media can make it easier for students to receive learning so they can achieve learning goals. The use of song media is one of the media sources that can be used to convey material to students. The aim of this research is to find out how to implement the use of song media to improve students' cognitive abilities in class IV science learning at state elementary school 03 Pace Slo. This research uses qualitative methods, using observation data collection techniques and interviews with the class IV homeroom teacher at SDN 03 Pace Silo. Based on the research results, the use of the song method is very effective for use in grade IV science learning. Research shows that the use of song media can improve students' cognitive abilities, whether they realize it or not. The use of song media makes students active and enthusiastic about learning compared to monotonous and boring learning for students.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country with the highest level of biodiversity after Brazil. The diversity of Superclass Pisces (fish) in Indonesia is very significant. Indonesia's coastal resources are the centre of the richest tropical marine biodiversity in the world, where 90% of the fish catch comes from coastal waters within a 12 nautical mile radius of the coastline. From the data obtained, seafood from the coast of Pasuruan Regency is relatively abundant. In Kalirejo Village, Kraton District, most residents work as fishermen. Fishermen in Kalirejo Village usually look for fish on the coast of Pasuruan Regency. The fish obtained were dominated by ilat-ilatan fish (tongue fish). In the southern part of the coast of Pasuruan Regency, to be precise, from the Kalirejo Village area, Kraton District, there has been no research on the diversity and dominance of Superclass Pisces in the Madura Strait waters as well as a local potential that can be used as teaching materials. Local potential can be associated with learning, especially in learning Biology as a learning resource. Utilization of the local potential of the Superclass Pisces in the Madura Strait Waters can potentially become teaching material in biology lessons in high schools, especially in the CP (Learning Outcomes) of the Diversity of Living Things and Their Role in the subject of Diversity with the scope of the Spread of Fauna in Indonesia. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting a research entitled "Diversity and Dominance of Superclass Pisces on the Coast of Pasuruan Regency as Potential Teaching Materials. Based on the research results, analysis of the diversity index of Superclass Pisces showed a diversity index of 1.666 and an evenness index of 0.9. With the acquisition of this diversity value, it has moderate criteria, which means sufficient productivity, fairly balanced ecosystem conditions and moderate ecological pressure consisting of 6 families and 7 species. The results of the dominance index analysis showed a diversity index of 0.22. With the acquisition of diversity values, it has low dominance criteria. The total number of fish found on the coast of Pasuruan Regency most commonly found were Cynoglossus lingua with 8 individuals, Johnius trachycephalus and Rastrelliger kanagurta with 7 individuals, Mystus Sinaringan and Scatophagus argus with 2 individuals, and Rastrelliger faughni and Sphoeroides pachygaster with 1 individual. Based on the research results, there was a link between research results and learning biology on biodiversity material, so it can be used as teaching material based on local potential. Abstract

The Wanagiri Village Forest has a strategic role in conservation and tourism, and of course as a provider of offering materials through the availability of a diversity of vegetation in the forest, as well as a water conservation area. This study aims to determine the diversity and abundance of decomposer insects in the Gumi Banten Forest Park, Wanagiri Village, Buleleng, Bali so that sustainable conservation can be carried out. This study was an exploratory study and samples were collected using a pitfall trap with scattered sampling points and divided into four stations, each station consisting of 15 plots. The results of this study showed a diversity index of decomposers of 3.04 including the high category, and a relative abundance of 20.69.

Abstract

Soap as a cleaning agent is a class of products formulated with chemicals designed to meet consumer needs. However, household waste derived from chemicals affects how water and soil quality in the area. This study was conducted to determine the impact of environmentally friendly soap on soil quality in terms of earthworm indicators (Lumbricus terrestris). The methods used in this research are experimental and observational research methods. The main instrument in this research is using earthworms as bioindicators to measure soil quality. The rose purslane plant as a control variable in the study is a supplying agent of oxygen in the experimental media. The independent variables consisted of 4 different types of environmentally friendly soap brands. The dependent criteria observed to measure soil quality are the survival of earthworms and control plants, the number of worms that survive and soil surface characteristics. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. Results will be presented in the form of phenomenon analysis based on experimental data. The results show that natural soap is proven to be safe for the soil which is unlikely to cause pollution as indicated by the number of earthworms that are able to survive. This is concluded from the analysis of the average media that is able to make earthworms survive and be able to grow.

Abstract

Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism is one of the tourist attractions in the East Surabaya area which is rich in natural resources. The potential of this mangrove resource is not only to support the activities of the surrounding community, but also students and students. Currently, mangroves are not only used as barriers to sea water abrasion, but can also be processed into potential food raw materials. However, not all types of mangroves can be processed into food, only a few types can be processed, one of which is pedada fruit (Sonneratia caseolaris). Pedada fruit is one of the mangrove fruits which is often processed into food ingredients such as syrup, jam, chili sauce, dodol, coffee, chips, flour, and so on. This research was conducted to utilize mangrove fruit to add economic value and improve livelihoods for local communities, as well as to provide information to the general public about the benefits of mangroves as food, drinks, medicines and even cosmetics.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a needs analysis in developing STEM-based electronic modules with a focus on environmental conservation material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research involving interviews, observation and questionnaires as data collection instruments. The research results show that there is an urgent need to update teaching materials, in line with the times and technological developments. The findings also indicate the need to develop teaching materials that are integrated with technology to facilitate students in understanding the concept of environmental conservation in a more interactive and applicable way. Apart from that, variations in learning approaches are crucial, because an approach is needed that is able to form critical thinking skills and improve students' skills in solving problems. It is hoped that the implications of this research can make a positive contribution to curriculum and learning development, so that students can be better prepared to face the demands of the ever-growing era.

Abstract

Indonesia has a unique ecosystem and has an important role in coastal areas which are often called mangrove forests. One of them is in Surabaya, precisely in Wonorejo which is also a place of education and there are mangrove tours in it. Mangroves can be used in economic terms to be used as various types of processed food, drinks, one of which is jam. Mangrove forests in it there are many plants, one of which is the species Sonneratiaceae (Sonneratia). High nutrition in the content of pedada fruit is used and processed to be used as several food products, one of which is jam. From this study aims to provide information for readers how long the study of the shelf life of pedada fruit if used as jam.

Abstract

Learning in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires students to learn how to integrate concepts at all levels of organization and complexity as well as synthesize and analyze information that connects conceptual domains. A metacognitive approach will instill the skills the current generation needs to interact in society and the world of work. The aim of the research is to describe students' responses to the genetics learning module with the Mapalus philosophy approach to metacognitive skills. This research applies development research methods. Media experts' responses to the module were valid (78%), while material experts' responses were very valid (85%). The genetic concept module developed using the Mapalus local wisdom approach produced good responses from students both in terms of use and cognitive assessment results. The module also raises students' soft skills in their use, namely cooperation, leadership, the ability to divide tasks in groups and present the results of group work. The module developed is also able to improve students' metacognitive abilities. Students' ability to understand problems increased from 65 to 80 (maximum score 100). The ability to perform calculations increased from 55 to 70. The ability to make problem solving plans increased from 67 to 75. The Genetic Concepts Module with the mapalus philosophy and metacognitive approach can be applied in schools.

Abstract

The quality of water as a maintenance medium in the recirculation system can decrease rapidly due to feeding activitiescarried out by fish such as waste in the form of faeces and leftover feed that settles to the bottom of the water. Water treatmentand optimization of filter media are ways to reduce pollutants dissolved in water. The purpose of this study was to determinethe survival rate and growth rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) reared in a recirculation system with different filter media.There were 3 (three) filter media treatments in wastewater treatment with recirculation systems, namely P0 filter mediawithout pakcoy plants, P1 filter media with pakcoy plants and P2 filter media with pakcoy plants and additional pumice.Evaluation of survival and growth of fish using oneway Anova data analysis. The results of the study during the 30-day rearingperiod showed that the highest survival value and growth rate of fish were obtained in the treatment of filter media withpakcoy plants and additional pumice. During the research, treatment P0, P1, and P2 respectively gave fish survival rates of78.2%, 80.2% and 85.0%, absolute weight gain of 10.12 g, 12.09 g and 15.19 g and the absolute length of 2.46 cm, 3.21 cmand 4.81 cm. The survival rate of tilapia (O. niloticus) in three different recirculation systems did not show a significant effect(P > 0.05) but had a significant effect (P < 0.05) on growth. The result of the study showed that tilapias from the recirculatingsystem with pakcoy plants and additional pumice as filter media provides better growth performance compared to the systemwithout pakcoy plants and additional pumice via improved water quality throughout the culture.

Abstract

Infertility is currently an important problem in the world, including in Indonesia. Infertility can occur in men and women. Inmen, factors causing infertility can come from external sources. One environmental factor that can cause infertility is exposureto heavy metals from the environment. One way to prevent and treat infertility includes consuming natural antioxidants derivedfrom plants. One plant that has antioxidant compounds and has antioxidant activity is the kabau plant. This research wasconducted to test the effect of kabau seed pod extract (Archidendron jiringoides Komariah) on male mice exposed to Pb metalto determine its effect on the concentration of spermatozoa in male mice. The methods used in this research include:preparation of test animals, making simplicia and kabau seed pod extract, exposing the extract to test animals, isolatingorgans, and making spermatozoa suspensions. Giving kabau seed pod extract to mice that had previously been exposed tolead (Pb) increased the concentration of mice spermatozoa with the most effective dose of kabau bark extract, namely 190mg/kg BW. However, statistical analysis shows that the increase is not significant.
