Abstract

Songket craftsmen play an important role in supporting regional income thorough creative economy in Palembang city. This study aims to analyze the role of the creative economy to increase the income of songket craftsmen from the perspective of Islamic business ethics. This type of research is field research that uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques using interviews and documentation methods, all of which will be analyzed inductively. The results showed that the role of the creative economy carried out by songket craftsmen in Palembang city is (1) Increasing new innovations that consumers want so that their products are not left behind in accordance with the times, (2) Increasing income, (3) Contributing to the creation of new jobs. Creative activities in songket craftsmen use the principles of Islamic business ethics in terms of managing, caring, benefiting each other, and being responsible for what is done.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) Find out the role of ZCD in improving the welfare of the people of Lubuk Bangkar Village and the Islamic economic perspective for the role of ZCD (2) What are the factors that inhibit and encourage the ZCD program in improving the welfare of the people of Lubuk Bangkar Village (3) What is the welfare condition of the people of Lubuk Bangkar Village after the ZCD program. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with primary and secondary data types and data collection uses observation, documentation and interview techniques. The research results show (1) Improving community welfare, empowering the community's economy, providing capital and facilities, providing assistance and coaching. The ZCD program in Lubuk Bangkar Village has fulfilled the principles of the ZCD program, namely, trustworthy and responsible, sustainable, participatory and integrated. And plays a role in various aspects, namely economic aspects, da'wah, education and health. (2) Unavailability of distributors to buy the community's products or harvests, inaccurate selection of program types and inadequate facilities as well as late arrival of feed to livestock and fisheries communities. Meanwhile, the driving factor is: because Lubuk Bangkar Village is a village with underdeveloped areas and the average population is underprivileged, Baznas RI wants to develop human resources or natural resources in Lubuk Bangkar Village. (3) The percentage of poor people became 58.31% of the total population of 1,197 people and the number of unemployed people became 183 people. As well as increasing the level of public health, improving the quality of public education, creating jobs and providing employment opportunities for the community (mustahik), reducing poverty and unemployment rates. And the facilities that have been provided by BAZNAS are very helpful for the sustainability and welfare of the community in Lubuk Bangkar Village so that it is easier for the community to achieve a prosperous life and to be better at developing their own potential.

Abstract

Regarding the development of agricultural land management, the muzāra'ah contract scheme is considered the most suitable and fair contract, and in accordance with sharia principles. However, in its implementation, many problems arise between sharecroppers and land owners. From the initial survey that the author conducted with Basril, one of the chili farmers in Taeh Baruah Village, it was found that sharing the results of the land, especially in chili farming, tends to cause disharmony in social interactions due to because sharecroppers are not professional, transparency is weak. Based on this phenomenon, the author conducted an in-depth study regarding benchmarks for the benefits of muzāra'ah and ijārah contracts in agricultural land management using the Maqasid Syariah approach. From the measurement results, it was found that currently in Nagari Taeh Baruah, the use of an ijārah contract in terms of agricultural land cooperation is the most beneficial contract compared to the muzāra'ah contract. This is due to the community's habit of carrying out cooperation in the agricultural sector only verbally, and the level of honesty of some farmers is still low, which tends to result in social disharmony among chili farmers in Nagari Taeh Baruah.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Influence of Regional Expenditures and Regional Economic Growth on Regional Financial Independence in Jambi Province. The research aims to measure and analyze: 1). Ratio of regional financial independence, development of regional spending and economic growth in districts/cities in Jambi Province during 2017-2023, 2). The influence of the regional financial independence ratio on regional expenditure in Regencies/Cities in Jambi Province and 3). The influence of the regional financial independence ratio on economic growth in Regencies/Cities in Jambi Province during 2017-2023. Data analysis uses quantitative and quantitative descriptive analysis methods, namely ratio, development and panel data regression. The results of research during 2017-2022 show that on average the districts/cities of Jambi Province have a very low independence ratio, the highest being Jambi City and the lowest being Sungai Full City. All regional expenditures experienced an increase, the highest in Bungo Regency and the lowest in Sungai Banyak City. GRDP all increased, the largest being Sungai Banyak City and East Tanjung Jabung Regency the lowest. The independence ratio has a positive and significant effect on regional expenditure or economic growth of districts/cities in Jambi Province at probability values of 0.0329 and 0.0352.

Abstract

In the ever evolving and highly competitive business landscape, the image of an organization, particularly in the realm of higher education, plays a pivotal role. This article proposes a strategic framework for digital marketing communication within educational institutions, with a case analysis drawn from Universitas Islam Negeri Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. We delve into the significant impact of information technology and the internet, reshaping communication paradigms on a global scale. Emphasizing the critical importance of a university's image in shaping societal perceptions and influencing educational choices, we explore the concept of brand image in the context of education. Detailing digital marketing strategies as a solution to enhance visibility, appeal, and the reputation of higher education institutions, this article elucidates how technological innovations and digital platforms serve as effective means for universities to connect with a broader audience, including prospective students, alumni, and potential partners. Through a case study analysis, we underscore the pivotal role of digital marketing in building and fortifying a positive image, as well as addressing potential reputation issues. The outcomes of this research provide strategic insights for universities to implement effective digital marketing communication, guiding them towards achieving their goals in this digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) based on Islamic social reporting and its impact on increasing company value. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research using the literature study method, with the aim of knowing the results of implementing ISR-based Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to increase company value. The research results show that the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is based on Islamic Social Reporting in an effort to increase company value by referring to several core topics discussed in (1) Finance and Investment; (2) Products and services; (3) Employees; (4) Community Involvement; (5) Environment; (6) Corporate Governance, this sixth subject is issued by the Accounting and Audit Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).

Abstract

This study aims to enrich the understanding of circular economy adoption in rural areas using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as the foundational framework. Through the developed conceptual model, the study explores the mediating role of community attitudes towards circular economy adoption, by expanding attitude variables involving the dimension of caring for maslahah as an aspect of Islamic economics, beliefs, and knowledge. By collecting data from 200 respondents using Simple Random Sampling in the Barebbo District of Bone Regency, the analysis results using Partial Least-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). This research reveals that beliefs and knowledge play a central role in shaping individual attitudes towards circular economy adoption in accordance with the principles of Islamic economics. The lack of attitude mediation effects between caring for maslahah as an aspect of Islamic economics, beliefs, knowledge related to circular economy adoption indicates that awareness of the benefits of such practices has not fully driven sustainable economic behavior. This study highlights that knowledge is the strongest force, motivating changes in economic, social, and environmental behavior with positive impacts across dimensions. The study provides a pioneering contribution to the literature, opening insights into the complex interaction between community attitudes and circular economic behavior in rural areas.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of Islamic compensation, sharia competence and spiritual intelligence on employee performance at the Merangin Regency Central Statistics Agency. This research was conducted at the Central Bureau of Statistics Merangin Regency. The sample is used in this research are all employees at the Merangin Regency Central Statistics Agency totaling 31 employees. The collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to employees, using non-probabilty sampling, namely total sampling technique or saturated samples. This research uses quantitative research methods. The analysis technique uses instrument test, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing hypothesis test with results showed that the independent variables (Islamic compensation, sharia competence, and spiritual intelligence) has a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable (employee performance). This is evidenced by partial t test with the value Islamic compensation (X1) 2,786 > 2, 052 significance level 0,052 < 0,05, sharia competence (X2) significance level 0,008 < 0,05, and spiritual intelligence (X3) 3,692 > 2, 052 significance level 0,001< 0,05. The results of the f test for Islamic compensation, sharia competence, and spiritual intelligence have a positive and significant effect on employee performance Merangin Regency Statistics Agency.

Abstract

Financial institutions have an important role in the development of contemporary industrial society. One type of financial institution is a Sharia Pegadaian which offers a pawn system in accordance with Islamic law. Sharia pawnshops have financing risks that must be managed well. This research aims to analyze financing risk management at the Jelutung Sharia Pawnshop, Jambi City. This research uses qualitative methods with case studies. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the research show that Pegadaian Syariah Jelutung, Jambi City implements financing risk management consisting of risk identification, risk measurement, risk control and risk monitoring. Pegadaian Syariah Jelutung, Jambi City uses various methods to identify financing risks, such as qualitative and quantitative analysis. Risk measurement is carried out by calculating the value of the collateral and the customer's ability to pay. Risk control is carried out by implementing various policies, such as regulatory requirements and law enforcement. Risk monitoring is carried out regularly to ensure the effectiveness of risk management. This research contributes to the understanding of financing risk management at Sharia Pawnshops. The results of this research can be used by Pegadaian Syariah to increase the effectiveness of financing risk management.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing green accounting, environmental performance and corporate social responsibility on company profitability. This research is a quantitative study with an associative approach. The type of data used is secondary data with documentation techniques in taking data in the form of annual reports and sustainability reports in each company. In addition, this research applies literature study in collecting data and theories relevant to the topic of this research problem and then reviewing various literature, such as journals, articles, and previous research.  The data analysis method used in this research is descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis with the partial least square (PLS) method, all of which are processed in the SmartPLS 4 application. Meanwhile, the object of research is companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index 70 (JII70) in 2018-2021. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between green accounting and environmental performance on company profitability. Meanwhile, there is no influence between Corporate Social Responsibility on company profitability
