Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of matching human resource competencies with job requirements to support effective organizational performance. This study aims to analyze the level of human resource competency, evaluate the suitability of employee competencies with job descriptions and job specifications, and identify competency gaps and their development strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews with six informants: two key and four supporting. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the level of human resource competency is generally in the good category, especially in the work attitude dimension. The suitability of competencies to job descriptions and job specifications is considered good, especially in the structural, administrative, and formal qualification aspects. However, competency gaps persist across the dimensions of knowledge, skills, and work attitudes. Competency development efforts have been carried out through training, certification, mentoring, and cross-functional learning. This study concludes that strengthening competency development programs on an ongoing basis is necessary to improve the suitability of competencies with job requirements. These findings have implications for the importance of strategic planning for human resource development, based on competency gaps, to improve organizational performance and productivity.

Abstract

The problem is that students lack passion or enthusiasm for learning mathematics. Passion or enthusiasm, and long-term consistency that students have, tend to be lacking. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of significance of grit and hardiness on mathematics learning achievement of sixth-grade students, as well as the role of SRL as a moderating variable. This research can be classified as causal-comparative research in an ex post facto design. The population used in this study were all sixth-grade students, namely 712 students. The study used a proportional random sampling technique, with a sample of 250 students. This study collected data on endogenous and moderating variables using non-test techniques such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, attitude scales, and documentation. Analysis of the collected data began with assumption testing, followed by path analysis, which included hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that grit, hardiness, and self-regulated learning (SRL) can influence sixth-grade students' mathematics achievement both directly and indirectly through SRL. The implications of this research can include developing clear, measurable learning objectives aligned with the curriculum and the needs of the 21st century.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the diversity and richness of Indonesian culture. Indonesian cultural diversity is reflected in the practice of traditional ceremonies rich in philosophical values, including the Sundanese wedding tradition. This study aims to analyze and explore the philosophical meaning contained in each stage of the Sundanese traditional wedding ceremony. This study uses a systematic literature review approach, following the PRISMA procedure. Data were obtained by searching scientific articles in various online databases from 2014 to 2023, and articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 22 relevant articles. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively through comparison, interpretation, and synthesis of findings from various sources. The results show that the series of Sundanese traditional wedding ceremonies is divided into three main stages: pre-akad, the main procession, and post-akad, each representing a specific philosophical value. The pre-akad stage reflects the values of readiness and purity; the main procession reflects commitment, responsibility, and social legitimacy; while the post-akad stage reflects the values of harmony and the sustainability of household life. Overall, these values demonstrate the integration of spiritual, social, and cultural aspects in Sundanese life. This study concludes that Sundanese traditional wedding ceremonies are not merely symbolic but also contain a relevant value system that serves as a guideline for building family life. This finding implies the importance of cultural preservation as a source of contextual learning.

Abstract

The problem of low collaboration skills and student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education subjects, due to the dominance of direct learning, forms the background for the urgency of this research. This study aims to analyze the effects of implementing a multimedia-assisted cooperative learning model on students' collaborative skills and understanding of cultural diversity. The research is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were fifth-grade elementary school students selected through cluster random sampling techniques. Before the treatment, the equality of the initial abilities between the two groups was confirmed using ANOVA. Data collection was carried out using essay test instruments to measure cognitive learning outcomes and observation sheets to measure collaboration skills, and the data were then analyzed using MANOVA. The results showed a significant effect of the learning model on both dependent variables, where the experimental group showed a higher average achievement than the control group. These findings suggest that integrating multimedia visualization into teamwork is effective in building conceptual understanding and fostering positive social interactions. It is concluded that this approach is a strategic solution to optimize the academic and social competence of elementary school students.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low level of customer loyalty to MSMEs for processed food products, as indicated by low repeat purchase rates and a high tendency for consumers to switch brands. This condition indicates that promotional strategies, product quality and customer satisfaction have not functioned optimally in building sustainable loyalty. This research aims to analyze, evaluate, and test the influence of promotional strategies and product quality on customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects were MSME customers of processed food products, selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 97 respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires as the primary research instrument. The data obtained was analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach to identify relationships between the variables studied. The research results show that promotional strategies have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, while product quality has no direct effect on loyalty. However, promotional strategies and product quality have been shown to positively and significantly influence customer satisfaction, which in turn has a significant influence on loyalty. In addition, customer satisfaction has been shown to mediate the influence of promotional strategies and product quality on customer loyalty. The conclusion of this research confirms that customer satisfaction is a key factor in increasing customer loyalty. The implications of this research show that MSMEs need to optimize promotional strategies and consistently maintain product quality to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

Student motivation to learn economics remains a challenge in 21st-century learning, especially when the use of digital technology has not been fully balanced with the strengthening of independent learning skills. This study aims to analyze the contributions of perceptions of Kahoot use and of learning independence to students' motivation to learn economics. This study used a quantitative ex post facto approach with a causal-associative design. The research subjects consisted of 126 grade 10 students who were selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that perceptions of Kahoot's use contributed positively and significantly to students' learning motivation. Learning independence also made a positive and significant contribution, exerting a stronger influence than the use of Kahoot media. The results of the simultaneous analysis showed that the combination of Kahoot media use and learning independence significantly shaped students' motivation to learn. This study concluded that learning independence is a more determining factor in maintaining the sustainability of learning motivation than the use of gamification media alone. The implications of this research indicate that implementing economic learning in the digital era is not enough to focus solely on the use of interactive media; it also needs to be directed toward the development of self-regulation, learning responsibility, and student learning initiatives through learning strategies that sustainably encourage learner autonomy.

Abstract

Students are a group open to diverse information, but this openness has not been fully leveraged in investment activities. This study aims to determine the effect of investment knowledge and minimum capital on students' investment interest. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method, with data collected through questionnaires, processed using SPSS version 26, and analyzed with multiple linear regression, beginning with validity and reliability tests and classical assumption tests. The results of the study indicate that investment knowledge positively affects students' investment interest, whereas minimum capital has a negative effect. Partially, investment knowledge can increase students' interest in investing because a good understanding of investment can boost confidence in making financial decisions. At the same time, capital-related considerations remain a barrier to students starting to invest. The implications of this study underscore the importance of improving investment education and literacy through various learning media, training, and outreach so that students have a better understanding of investment, can utilize information effectively, and can make investment decisions more wisely, confidently, and in a more planned manner to support future financial management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the psychological problems and coping mechanisms of single parents, while also assessing the effectiveness of these strategies in overcoming social, economic, and emotional stress. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive survey design. The study subjects were 100 single parents selected through purposive sampling based on their direct experience of single parenting. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire adapted from a previously validated instrument, covering aspects of psychological conditions (stress, anxiety, and depression) and coping strategies (economic involvement, moral behavior, social perception, and family support). Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics (frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations) and inferential statistics (t-tests). The results showed that family support was the most dominant coping strategy, followed by efforts to improve social perception, involvement in economic activities, and personal character development. These findings indicate that cultural practices, economic factors, and social obligations influence single parents' coping behavior. The study's conclusions emphasize that strengthening support systems is crucial for addressing the challenges faced by single parents.

Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial developmental stage where self-concept plays a role in shaping behavior, identity, and psychosocial adjustment. In an environment that normalizes informal and illegal economic activities, adolescents have the potential to develop maladaptive self-perceptions, making them vulnerable to deviant behaviors such as smuggling. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy (ABAT) in improving the self-concept of adolescents with tendencies toward smuggling. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group. The subjects were high school students identified as having tendencies toward smuggling using the Students in Business Questionnaire (SIBQ). Data were collected using the Self-Concept Questionnaire (SCQ) and analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results showed significant differences in self-concept between the treatment groups. Both therapies proved more effective than the control group, with ABAT showing higher effectiveness than CBT. No significant differences were found by gender or in interactions between gender and treatment. This study concludes that cognitive and behavioral-based counseling interventions are effective in improving the self-concept of adolescents with deviant tendencies. The implication is that evidence-based counseling programs need to be integrated into education to strengthen the development of positive self-concept.
