Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the ethical value of the help of the Hepi character in Son Rantau novel by A. Fuadi. This research includes descriptive research type which is qualitative. Primary data in this research is in the form of written data in the form of sentences, words, and paragraphs in the form of dialogs and monologues contained in Hepi characters in novels Anak Rantau A. Fuadi, while secondary data in this study in the form of books and literature taken from the library where the theories relate to this research. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the value of the helpful ethics contained in the novel Rantau Son of A. Fuadi there are 24 quotations are all reinforced also by exposure to dialogue and monologue. This illustrates this novel put forward that people live in society is needed each other to help each other in order to create prosperity help-help is necessary in living life because human life must be socialized and interdependent with each other Keywords: Value, ethics, novel

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine (1) the process of developing Muara Jambi Temple learning video based on local history in Indonesian history up to the 15th century subject History Study Program of Batanghari University Jambi (2) the advisability of Muara Jambi Temple learning video based on local history in Indonesian history up to the 15th century subject History Study Program of Batanghari University Jambi. The type of this research are research and development. This research emphasizes an effort to produce certain products that will be used in certain fields of science and can also be used in an activity that needs it. The development which was carried out in this research is developing video learning media. To determine the feasibility of the media, the media experts and material experts validated the media that had been made and then conducted a media trial to the students, the trial was carried out in three stages, one to one, small group trials, and field test trials. The results showed that (1) the stages of developing Muara Jambi Temple learning video based on local history in Indonesian history up to the 15th century subject adopted the steps or stages which were developed by Lee and Owens which consisted of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. (2) The results of the assessment by media experts for all aspects obtained an average score of 4.1 with good category and reasonable to be used. Furthermore, based on the media expert's assessment, the average of all aspects is 4.3 with a very good category so that the material reasonable to be used. The feasibility of Muara Jambi Temple learning video based on local history in Indonesian history up to the 15th century subject based on student assessment in the field test obtained an average of all aspects, namely 4.3 in the very good category so that the media was very suitable to be used in this learning activity.Keywords: Instructional Media, Local History, Muara Jambi Temple

Abstract

This research is motivated by low learning result of student math in school. The low learning outcomes are influenced by the factors of learning strategies that are less varied, the saturation of students in the learning process, and the lack of involvement of learners since the beginning of learning. The main purpose of this study is to determine the effect of assessment assessment strategy on student learning outcomes, and is pre experimental research with randomized control group design only. Based on the final test of learning result obtained the average of learning result of math in experimental class 77,33 and the mean of result of learning of control class mathematics 66,67. The result of t-test analysis obtained t is equal to 2.15 and t table is equal to 1.67 at real level of 0.05 with dk equal to 46 (tcount larger ttable) means accept H1 means student's mathematics learning outcomes in ekprimen better than class control. Based on the hypothesis test it can be concluded that there is influence assessment assessment strategy on student learning outcomes mathematics.Keyword: Assessment Search

Abstract

Abstract: Development of teaching materials Chemical solution with contextual learning for FKIP UNBARI Jambi PMIPA department is based on the fact the unavailability of teaching materials especially those that have spesipikasi with contextual learning. This development aims to produce teaching materials Chemical solution with contextual learning for PMIPA department FKIP UNBARI Jambi as grip material faculty and students. Where the research performed at the Department of Guidance and Counseling PMIPA UNBARI Jambi. Product validation teaching materials in this study is a matter experts and instructional media experts, field trials .uji student groups. Teaching materials development activities carried out four (4) phases, (1) the preliminary stage, (2) the stage of development, (3) the stage of preparation of teaching materials products, (4) the stage of expert validation and testing stage products of small groups and large groups. Results of expert validation and expert validation meteri media only give suggestions for the improvement of teaching materials chemical solution. Teaching materials that have been tested in this final group of small and large groups. Results of testing the effectiveness of teaching materials components were analyzed using percentages show good results with an average value of 85.32% dan79,19%. Based on trial results, we can conclude that the solution chemistry teaching materials developed can be used in basic chemistry lectures on the subject of chemical solution.Keywords: Development of Teaching Material Chemical Solution

Abstract

This research is based on the sample of the problem on the Student Worksheet (LKS) is still lack of structured steps of work, the exercise problem is not related to everyday life. This research is a development research. Products developed in the form of Student Worksheet (LKS) mathematics on the number material for SMP class VII with problem based learning model. The development model used is the ADDIE model consists of several stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation was done by 2 material experts, design experts and media experts. The Student Working Sheet (LKS) developed was tested in 3 stages, one to one learner with 3 subjects, small group trials (small Group try-out) with the subject of 6 students, field trials (field try-out) with the subject of 36 students. The results showed that the Student Worksheet (LKS) problem based on problem based learning based on the assessment: 1) material experts obtained The average total of 3.98 is included in the "Good" category and if it gets 80% it is included in the "Valid" category. 2) design experts obtained an average total of 4.00 which is included in the category of "Good" and if the percentage get the value of 80% so that included in the category "Valid". 3) the media expert obtained an average total of 4.83 which is included in the category of "Very Good" and if the percentage get 97% value so that included in the category of "Very Valid". The assessment by the students is done in 3 stages: 1) the individual test is obtained an average total of 4.55 which belongs to the category of "Very Good" and if the percentage get 91% value so that it is categorized as "Very Valid", 2) Average of 4.65 which is categorized as "Very Good" and if the percentage gets 93% so that it is categorized as "Very Valid", 3) the field trial obtained the average total 4,64 which belongs to the category of "Very Good" and if Censored 92% of the score so that it is categorized as "Very Valid". Thus, Student-Based Student Worksheet (LKS) based on problem based learning on the number material in class VII is declared valid and practical so feasible to be used in learning process by teacher and junior high student especially material number. Abstract

Abstract : This school action research is aimed at increasing the ability of School Development Team in designing School Development Program through training in a form of (Pelatihan and Pendampingan or LATDAMPING ) The subjects of this research are School Development Team ( SDT ) of SMA N 5, SMA PGRI 2, SMA Bina Kasih and SMA Unggul Ikabama Kota Jambi.The Data about School Development Program was collected through interview, document, observation and instrument. This research consists of two cycles. The result of sycle 1 states that achievement of SMA N 5 is 75%, SMA PGRI 2 reached 76%, SMA Bina Kasih reached 76% too and SMA Unggul Ikabama got 68%. There increasing percentage of each school  is SMA N 5 50%, SMA PGRI 2 50%, SMA Bina Kasih 58.8% and SMA Unggul Ikabama 60%. In cycle two, the four schools got  high increase. The result of SMA N 5 reached 84%, SMA PGRI 2 reached 88%, SMA Bina Kasih reached 86%, and SMA Unggul Ikabama 78% Based on this result can be concluded that LATDAMPING is significant enough to increase the ability of SDT in designing School Development program.Keywords: Pelatihan, Pendampingan, RKS, EDS

Abstract

This research is motivated by the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts Low. One contributing factor is the teacher's teaching style or learning model that is still in use still live where there is a tendency to minimize the involvement of students. While teachers are more active in the learning process. One model that is expected to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts is mind mapping. Mind mapping learning model is the submission of ideas or concepts and problems in learning then discussed in small groups so that gave birth to the various alternatives to solve. This study aims to determine the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts between that learned to use mind mapping learning model is better than the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts that learned by direct learning model. This study used an experimental method with quasi-experimental design (quasi research method) with a student population of SMP Negeri 3 Tungkal Ulu Academic Year 2015/2016. Sampling using random sampling and sample drawn is a class VIII D as an experimental and VIII C as the control class. From the results of research conducted average scores for the experimental class was 78,15 with a standard deviation of 12,13 and the average value of the control class was 69,23 with a standard deviation of 15,22. As well as from the hypothesis test obtained at 2,655 and 1,675 on the real level of 0,05 . From the calculation it is seen that greater than it received. Based on the final results can be concluded that the ability of students ' understanding of mathematical concepts that learned to use mind mapping learning model is better than the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts that learned by direct learning model in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Tungkal Ulu. Abstract

Abstract : The influence of motivation and implementation to the employee performance in University of Batanghari Jambi should be adapted with necessary that must be filled and level of different necessary to every employee, so as different performances happens in achivement. The condition is the employee often came late for work, act like passive and positive to work, not on time for finishing the job and the half employee still exist to out from their assignment in office hours without legal information. The research method in used is descriptive method and verifikatif. The sample is total sampling as 80 person. Next processed by using computer sofware kind of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) from software 17.00 The result from this research show that motivation and employee performance in University of Batanghari Jambi with good criteria. The empirical findings indicates that in order to improve employee performance, so part of rector should be considering the factors that employee performance affect, such as leadership. Abstract

The background study of this research is to develop a teaching model of soft skill and also to improve teachers’ soft skills who want to enter the world of work. In this research study, the researcher tries to see and analyze the prevailing condition teachers in the field of education. The goals of this research are developing of skills activity and knowing the educational administration for teachers. The design of this research was descriptive qualitative research. The data for this research was collected through observation and questionnaire. The result analysis can be concluded as follows: First, the educational management of elementary school teachers based on soft skill are still effective; Second, based on the results of research can be concluded that the educational management of elementary school teachers based on soft skill, the need for education mismatching with their need. Third, average teachers at the elementary school have medium motivation to develop of their soft skill; this is evidenced from the result of questionnaire that spread to these teachers. Based on the result, eight teachers were known from total 15 teachers have medium level of motivation. The results of the percentage analysis for experiments class for the improvement of teachers’ soft skills showed that the average of four soft skills competencies, include strategic capabilities, communication skills, interaction skills, and psychological skills, soft skills competencies teachers at the level of effective. The indicators shown that the soft skill teachers’ competencies are still low and quite lack, therefore empowering teachers in the elementary school can be improved to empowerment both in personal competence and social competence.

Abstract

Abstract: Teachers are more active in teaching and learning process, while the students only receive the material, question and answer and record so that learning math is very boring for students. To help students to be more active, teachers make various changes or new things in teaching mathematics, one of them by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. This research includes true experimental research with Pretest-Postest Control Group Design design. Population in this research is all students of class VII MTsN Olak Kemang City Jambi academic year 2017/2018. Sampling using random sampling technique and samples of research are class VII B (experiment) and VII C (control). This study aims to determine whether there is a significant effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of students on the subject of the Set. Data collection is done by doing pretest and posttest which each consist of 7 problem. From the result of data analysis done on the difference of pretest-posttest average in two samples obtained titung for the comprehension ability of mathematical concept 4.93 and ttabel is 1.66. At the real level α is 0.05. From the calculation results show that t count is greater than ttable, then H0 is rejected and HI accepted. Based on the final result, it can be concluded that there is a difference of students' understanding of mathematical concept between the experimental class and the control class. Thus, it was concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach significantly influenced the students' understanding of mathematical concepts.Keywords: Influence, Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), and Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts.
