Abstract

Abstract :The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the school environment, peers, and study motivation on the student achievement in SMK business management marketing majorssouth jambi subdistrict jambi city. By using proportional random sampling technique analysis, the obtained of samples with the number of students is 109. The results showed, in the school environment to support Based on the research results, it can be concluded that in a school environment in order tosupport the smooth implementation of the learning process, should be able to pay attention to the need for means of support. Thus, students can develop their skills with the help of friends his age to be more motivated to improve learning outcomes, especially in the field of vocational students of business management marketing majors south jambi subdistrict jambi city.Keywords :School Environment, Peers, Study Motivation, Study Achievement.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh otoritatif orang tua dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran menata produk bidang manajemen di SMK Unggul Sakti Kota Jambi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah para siswa keahlian pemasaran SMK Unggul Sakti Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 191, dan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis proportional random sampling, diperoleh sampel sejumlah 130 siswa. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur, dimana perolehan data didapat melalui kuesioner, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai referensi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan pola asuh otoritatif orang tua dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa bidang manajemen di SMK Unggul Sakti Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Abstract: Theaims of this study areto find out: 1) the influence of educational ecosystem on the students' emotional maturity 2) the influence of family education on the students' emotional maturity 3) the influence of school education on the students' emotional maturity, and 4) the influence of public education on the students' emotional maturity. This research was correlational research with quantitative approach. This research used a survey method with a questionnaire, which contained a series of questions about a problem or field to be studied. The sample comprised of 47 students, which were randomly taken from the Class XII IPA as the population. The data analysis used simple linear regression analysis. The result revealedthat there was the correlation between the educational ecosystem and the students' emotional maturity. From the result of the data, family education was the most influencingfactor on the students' emotional maturity in the school. Itwas around 12.72% students in the low category but sure. Mean while, the result of the school education was almost the same as theresult of public education.Both were in the lower effect on the students' emotional maturity in SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. They were around 7.43% and 7.15% studentsin a low category but defined.Keywords: Educational Ecosystems, Emotional Maturity

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengaruh Outlining Technique terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa pada teks prosedur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Populasinya adalah kelas delapan SMPN 4 Sungai Penuh yang berjumlah 85 siswa. Dan sampel diambil dengan teknik “random sampling” yang terdiri dari 28 siswa kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 29 siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes menulis. Dengan demikian, hasil peneltian ditemukan dengan persentase nilai siswa setelah test. Kelas experimen memperoleh 65,57% dan kelas kontrol 62,21%. Sedangkan hasil tersebut dibuktikan dengan menguji hipotesis t-tes, yang mana t-tabel pada taraf signifikannya 0,05. Hingga hasilnya adalah thitung (0,79)< ttabel (1,67). Dari hasil tes ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh penggunaan teknik uraian terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa pada teks prosedur. Keyword : Outlining Technique, Procedure Text, Students’ Writing

Abstract

Abtract : This paper discusses the area of Jambi as Minangkabau ethnic seacoast area. Through the history of the structural approach can be concluded that the existence of Jambi as Minangkabau ethnic rantau been going on since long. In general phenomenon driven by the Minang ethnic wander. Natural factors, economic, political, social and cultural education. Especially for the area of Jambi process to migrate is because the two regions is a geographical entity united by Batang Hari river. In addition to economic factors and trading mainly mining and gold trade has triggered a wave of ethnic Minang migration in large numbers, especially to the area of Jambi Hulu. The development of education in West Sumatra since the mid-19th century, which goes hand in hand with the development of the bureaucratic system of colonial rule, a new driving factor in order to seize opportunities as employees, bureaucrats, teachers, and other professional workers The existence of ethnic Minang Jambi region coupled with the interaction between them and the local community . That caused a lot Jambi region receive the influence of Minangkabau.The effect is especially apparent in the field of social and cultural life .

Abstract

This study examines the improvement of students' mathematical connection skills through the application of Accelerated Learning Cycle learning. Through quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control groups, 100 students were included in the algebra and trigonometry courses in the FKIP UIR Mathematics Education Study Program. The research instrument used consisted of a mathematical connection test device. Data analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of this study indicate that the increase in mathematical connection ability of experimental class students is better than the control class (p = 0,000, p <0,05). Abstract

Abstract : This classroom Action research is conducted at grade VII of Private Junior High School Adhyaksa which is consist of 28 student. This research begin with the problem faced at grade VII Private Junior High School Adhyaksa, namely low learning achievement on social science, because teacher use conventional method which influence to score of student. According to the previous problem that lack of student participation on social science, and then the process of teaching and learning activity is dominated by teacher or teacher centered, otherwise student do not understand the subject, lack of asking question, only silent, and chatting  each other while process of learning. By doing this research is hoped the learning through group discussion method will improve student learning achievement on social science. The objective of this research is to increase student learning achievement on social science on theme natural resources grade IV that the use group discussion method. The kind of this research is Classroom Action Research in two cycles, each cycles consist of four stages namely Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The collecting of data is for namely (1) test, (2) Observation. The result of the research indicatess the successful in increasing student learning achievement on social science through group discussion method thata can be seen by average is 58,57 in first cycle and more increase in second cycle is 84,29. According to preliminary study  on student learning achievement is 33,33 % increase to 58,57 % on first cycle and more high in second cycle is 84,29 %. Based on this result is hoped to get information and input for teacher, and all stake holders at Private Junior High School Adhyaksa Jambi.Keywords  :Method of Learning, Group Learning and Achievement

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify syntactical ability of second language children age 5-6 years old. The subject of the research is learners of Kindergarten Para Bingtang Kota Jambi. This research is qualitative by using descriptive method. The result of the analysis shows that children age 5-6 years old in Para Bintang Kota Jambi have an ability to produce single sentence and complex sentence. Furthermore, they are also capable of using affirmative sentence, interrogative sentence, imperative sentence, and exclamation sentence. The ability of second language of children is still influenced by mother tongue which shows code mixing and code switching in their utterances. The children will choose to use second language which is Indonesian language in their interaction with teacher. Meanwhile, the children will use mother tongue which is Malay language in communicating with fiends of the same age. The children age 5-6 have an ability to produce sentences from second language and use it based on the context of their communication. Abstract

Abstract: The Purpose of this research is to describe: (1) Indonesian language errors of class VIII D students in MTsN Lubuk Buaya City of  Padang in writing official letters through syntax perspective; and (2) the level of students capability in writing official letters through some aspects, such as; spelling, diction, and sentence structure. To gain those purposes, analysis should be done. Furthermore, students’ language errors in writing official letters should be categorized.  The result of the research shows that (1) Indonesian language errors of class VIII D students in MTsN Lubuk Buaya Cityof Padang in writing official letters in syntax point of view covers spelling, diction, and sentence structure; and (2) the level of students capability in writing official letters is very low. There are only 25,83% of the students (7 students) who master spelling, there are 31,67 % of the students (9 students) who master in diction, and 40% of the students (12 students) who master sentence structure. Abstract

Parenting parents is very important for children to provide encouragement or motivation in learning. With parenting a good influence for children, although many types of parenting applied parents’ of children dependent parents’ upbringing is applied parents to children.. The purpose in this research want to know whether there is any correlation between Parenting Parents’ and Students Motivation in learning English on43rd Semester at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) University Batanghari Jambi Academic Year 2016/2017.This research is quantitative research. The population of the research is 60 students and the samples are 30 students. The data collected by questionnaire.Then, Questionnaire used Scale likert with data ordinal. The result of data questionnaire parenting the parents' highest obtained amount is 60 parents. This research, there are validity and reliability namely, validity used content validity with statement positive and negative of questionnaire and reliability the used internal consistency with formula Cronbach Alpha and correlated by used Spermant Rank correlation formula with SPPS Statistic 20. The correlation between parenting parents; and students motivation retrieved value 0,000 ˂ real level 0.025, so is mean Ho is rejected or Hi is accepted , so have correlation between parenting parents and students motivation learning English on 4rd semester at the Faculty of teacher training and education (FKIP) Batanghari University Academic Year 2016/2017.
