Abstract

It has been known that a group pile lateral capacity is smaller than the sum of each pile capacity composing the group. A reduction factor, also known as efficiency factor, is required to determine the effective lateral capacity of group piles. To the authors? knowledge, in most geotechnical text books, only the spacing of piles is considered in evaluating the pile group lateral capacity. No consideration on the effects of soil stiffness modulus and the total number of piles forming the group is taken into account. This research tried to investigate the influence of those factors by using geotechnical 3D finite element software, namely Plaxis 3D foundation. It is found that the bigger the number of piles in a group, the lower the efficiency factor is; the higher the soil stiffness modulus, the greater the efficiency is.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta yang ada di lokasi penelitian.  Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal di MAN Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, fakta yang diberikan masih rendahnya kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa, terlihat dari jawaban soal yang diberikan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh guru yang lebih aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar, sedangkan siswa hanya ditempatkan sebagai penerima informasi saja. Sesuai dengan masalah yang diteliti maka metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah  penelitian eksperimen karena adanya hubungan sebab akibat antara dua variabel. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI MIA Semester Genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Dalam penelitian ini yang dijadikan populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA MAN Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaning dalam mengajarkan matematika pokok bahasan polynomial (suku banyak)  pada kelas XI MIA MAN Sungai Gelam  yaitu: (1) Berdasarkan hasil posttest diperoleh nilai kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas sampel pada materi polynomial (suku banyak) untuk kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator And Explaining memperoleh rata-rata 75  dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inside outside circle memperoleh rata-rata 67. Berdasarkan hasil akhir dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran  matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaning lebih tinggi dari model pembelajaran inside outside circle  kelas XI MIA MAN Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi.Kata kunci: kemampuan penalaran, Student Facilitator And Explaining, inside outside circle

Abstract

The quality of students in school has a lot of diversity, this makes students have different levels of understanding. This can be seen from the variety of student scores obtained on report card scores, this needs to be a concern for the school, especially teachers. One of them is by forming effective study groups so that every student has the opportunity to excel. So this research was carried out with the aim of helping schools, especially teachers, to map student study groups evenly based on student report cards obtained in Semester I to Semester IV. The method used was clustering with the K-Means algorithm on the report card scores of Class IX.C students at SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. The results in this study obtained 3 clusters of students, namely students with High Achievement, Achievement and Less Achievement. This research can be used as a guide for teaching teachers in making decisions about the formation of student study groups in Class IX.C.

Abstract

The need to apply science and technology is becoming an increasingly important need. For educators, the need for mastery of technology is something that must be mastered to support the learning process. The aim of this program is to equip elementary school teachers with mastery of using the Internet to facilitate the search for English learning resources and to introduce and deepen their knowledge of English learning aid sites to improve teacher performance. There are five stages in implementing a community service program to find English learning resources in Internet Usage Seminars: Introduction Stage, Social and Audience Stage, Development Stage, Internet usage training and final assessment stage. The conference lasted for two days. The first day of activity is in the form of material procurement. The second day focused on Internet usage practices. Abstract

Soal-soal tipe PISA merupakan salah satu tipe soal yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (high order thinking) siswa, salah satunya kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Karenala itu dikembangkan soal-soal tipe PISA untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Rumusan masalahnya yaitu; 1) Bagaimanakah mengembangkan soal-soal tipe PISA yang valid dan  praktis untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa tingkat SMP? 2) Bagaimanakah efek potensial uji coba soal-soal tipe PISA yang dihasilkan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP N 17 Kota Jambi? Sedangkan tujuannya adalah 1) Menghasilkan soal tipe PISA yang valid dan praktis untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa tingkat SMP, 2) Mengetahui efek potensial penerapan soal-soal tipe PISA yang dihasilkan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMPN 17 Kota Jambi. Metode penelitiannya development research dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IX SMP N 17 Kota Jambi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan; 1) walk trough, 2) dokumentasi, 3) tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah soal-soal matematika tipe PISA untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sebanyak 10 butir berbentuk uraian (open construct response) yang valid dan praktis. Soal-soal ini mempunyai efek yang diketahui dari analisis jawaban siswa dan wawancara ketika pelaksanaan uji coba soal dimana siswa dapat mengeksplor kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya.

Abstract

Based on observation so far, learning process in the classroom only could impacted a little to the students metacognition ability and their mathematical reasoning. Metacognition ability is an ability of a student in controlling way of thinking and their ability to use strategy needed to understand the concept of previous knowledge. Reasoning is thinking ability to reflex the framework of certain based on the concept of understanding that they have learnt. To develop those both capacity and adapted it to material learned, one of them is by using realistic mathematical education approach. This research was aimed to understand the effect of metacognition ability to students reasoning by using realistic mathematical education approach. The method used in this research was quasi experimental method, subject of this research is student at VIII class from secondary school of Unggul sakti. Random sampling technique was used to decide class VIII F as a experiment class and class VIII E as control class.Result of the experiment showed that there were linear correlation r = 0,978142 with coefficient determination r2 = 0.989011 or as much 98,9 % gain tcount = 24,44271 and ttabel = t0,975 = 2,052 with significant level α = 0,05. From the calculation it showed that tcount > ttabel it means that Hypotheses (H1) accepted. Based on the final result it could be conclude that metacognition ability affect student reasoning by using realistic mathematical education approach.Keywords : Metacognition, Mathematical Reasoning, Realistic Mathematical Education

Abstract

In spite of using the appropriate learning approaches, there were factors that influenced to the successful in learning, namely intelligence and learning styles. RME approach and learning styles that suitable to students’ characteristics were expected to enhance students’ understanding in solving mathematical problem, which eventually leads on increasing students’ achievement. This research aimed to describe and analyse the process of students' problem solving on the type of visual-based learning RME. This study was qualitative research that used descriptive qualitative method. The research was conducted at class VIII of SMP N 2 Jambi. Subjects consisted of three students who have a visual type learning outcomes of high, medium, and low.The process of solving the problem of the study revealed through observations, interviews and task sheets based on mathematical problem solving. The data were analysed based on indicators of mathematical problem solving by Polya and noted the characteristics of the critical thinking process which included steps: (1) identification of the problem and the relevant information, (2) explored the interpretations and connections, (3) alternative prioritize and communicated the conclusions, and (4) integrated, monitored, and refined strategies for re-handling the problems.The results showed that subject of SVT and SVS could solve the issue properly, the process of solving the second problem showed in step; (1) and (2) the steps to understand the problems, arranged the problem-solving plan, implemented the plan of problem solving, and rechecked the results of problem solving. (3) the steps to understand the problems, arranged and did problem solving plan. (4) Implemented a plan and rechecked the results of problem solving. While SVR could not solve the problems correctly in step (3) and (4) in steps implemented plans and rechecked the results of problem solving.Keywords: Mathematical Problem Solving, Student Visual Mode, Realistic Mathematics Education (RME).

Abstract

This study aims to find out about: 1) the effect of the approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on the effectiveness of student learning in mathematics class VII SMP N 8 Jambi, 2) the effect of the concentration of study on the effectiveness of student learning in mathematics class VII SMP N 8 city of Jambi, 3) the effect of the approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the concentration of study on the effectiveness of student learning in mathematics class VII SMP N 8 city of Jambi. This research is experimental research with pretest-posttest design Control Group Design.The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Jambi City 2013/2014 academic year consists of class VIIA, VIIB, VIIC, VIID, VIIE, VIIF, VIIG, VIIH. Sampling using random sampling while the sample drawn is VIID and VIIG class. Data collection tool achievement test shaped in the form of essays, while the test concentrations studied by using a questionnaire (questionnaire).The results of the study are: 1) There is the effect of the CTL approach to effective student learning in mathematics, where before treatment the average results of the experiment class pretest was 39.97 with a standard deviation of 10.01, after a given treatment using CTL approach mean average posttest in the experimental class was 74.13 with a standard deviation of 8.31, 2) there is a concentration effect study of the effectiveness of student learning in mathematics, the higher the concentration the higher learning learning outcomes obtained, and 3) there are significant CTL approach and the concentration of study on the effectiveness of student learning in mathematics because tcount> ttable ie 3.60> 1.67Keywords: CTL approach, Concentration Learning and Effectiveness Study

Abstract

The covid 19 pandemic resulted in a very significant economic impact, and resulted in many defaults on bank credit agreements which underwent payment restructuring based on the covid 19 virus. Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation No. 11/POJK.03/2020 concerning the national economic stimulus as a countercyclical policy for the impact of the spread of covid 19 gives authority to banks to establish policies that support economic growth stimulus for debtors affected by the spread of covid 19, one of which is credit or financing restructuring policies. The occurrence of a national disaster caused by the Covid 19 virus had an impact on the force majeure situation. That defaults due to the spread of the covid-19 virus have resulted in debtors being negligent in carrying out their obligations, this method uses the normative juridical method, which refers to the provisions of positive laws and regulations in Indonesia. The results of the research show that defaults in the credit agreement cannot be used as an excuse for not fulfilling their obligations. The spread of covid-19 cannot be used as an excuse that causes a compelling situation that requires the debtor to commit an act of default. In the concept of a rule of law, judicial power is independent in carrying out its judicial function, thus enabling the exercise of judicial power to be fair in examining, adjudicating and deciding cases based on law and justice. Then the policy of the regulations issued by the government against the spread of the covid-19 virus is very important for the community regarding the problem of the spread of the covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena burnout yang dialami oleh profesional yang bekerja dibidang pelayanan sosial. Guru merupakan profesi yang rentan terhadap munculnya burnout. Fenomena burnout dapat terjadi pada guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) yang mengajar matapelajaran ujian nasional. Besarnya tuntutan dan tanggung jawab dalam mendidik para siswa sehingga guru dituntut untuk menjalankan tugas sesuai dengan tuntutan profesinya. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif, sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket atau instrumen. Analisis data menggunakan uji persentase atau uji-t dan ANOVA. Subjek penelitian 130 orang guru, yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: 1. Intensitas sindrom burnout guru SMP di Kecamatan Ciracas berada pada katagori sedang (74,6%); 2. Aspek sindrom burnout guru adalah kelelahan emosional (30%) dengan indikator mudah marah (75,6%), aspek depersonalisasi (21%) dengan indikator dominan memandang siswa negatif (44,2%) aspek menurunnya prestasi diri (13.2) dengan indikator dominan kehilangan kreatifitas (22.3%); 3. Tidak ada perbedaan intensitas sindrom burnout guru SMP di Kecamatan Ciracas berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia,masa kerja dan latar belakang pendidikan; 4. Tidak terdapat perbedaan intensitas sindrom burnout berdasarkan beban kerja, kebijakan sekolah, dukungan sosial dan penghargaan.
