Abstract

Komering River is a river that flows in Serdang Menang Village, Sirah Pulau Padang sub district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Most of the community activities around the Komering River are utilizing river water for household activities, agriculture, sand mining and fish farming. With the increasing variety of activities contained in the Komering River, it can have an effect on the quality of the waters. Changes in water quality can be knoen from physical, chemical and biological indicators. For biological indicators, monitoring can be done through the presence of aquatic biota. One of the aquatic biota that is very susceptible to changes in the aquatic environment is plankton. The purpose of this study was to determine the abundance of plankton as a bioindicator of the tropic status of waters in the Komering River.  The study was conducted from March to April 2018 at the Komering River in Serdang Menang Village, Sirah Pulau Padang Sub District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The method used is a field survey by determining the sampling station based on purposive random sampling. Sampling was carried out at 3 stations, namely the sand mining area (station 1), the KJA system fis cultivation area (station 2) and the densely populated residential area (station 3). Based on the result of study, the composition of plankton found in the Komering River consisted of phytoplankton (Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae) and zooplankton (Mastigophora, Monogononta, Crustaceans). The highest abundance index of phytoplankton and zooplankton is found in station 2 (dense area of floating net cages) which iis 3.140 individuals/liter and 100 individuals/liter.  Trophic status of Komering River waters in Serdang Menang Village based on phytoplankton abudance including oligotrophic waters, while based on zooplankton abudance including mesotrophic waters.

Abstract

Pengangguran terbuka (Open Unemployment) adalah penduduk usia kerja yang tidak mempunyai pekerjaan apapun, yang secara aktif mencari pekerjaan. Backpropagation adalah salah satu algoritma pada jaringan syaraf tiruan (JST) yang digunakan untuk meramalkan atau prediksi data. Dalam penelitian ini akan diramalkan Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT) di Provinsi Maluku. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pelatihan  diperoleh rata-rata keberhasilan permalan  sebesar 92.59%  dengan error terkecil yaitu MAPE = 0.0741%. Hasil peramalan 5 tahun ke depan menunjukan data fluktuatif dari tahun 2019 (9.5134) sampai tahun 2023 (9.7924).

Abstract

Hutan mangrove memiliki peran dalam mempertahankan fungsi ekologis dan penyangga kestabilan ekosistem daerah pesisir. Aktivitas kegiatan masyarakat dipesisir perairan seperti pelabuhan, jalur transportasi, pemukiman dan pariwisata memberikan dampak terhadap sumbangan jenis-jenis polutan yang masuk kedalam perairan. Jenis tumbuhan mangrove secara alami berpotensi dapat meminimalisir adanya serapan logam berat seperti jenis Buguiera gymnorriza dan Rhizophora apiculata. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Mei sampai dengan Juni 2018. Lokasi penelitian di pesisir hutan mangrove Kuala Langsa, Aceh. Metode penelitian ini deskriptif eksploratif dengan mendeskripsikan satuan serapan logam berat Pb, Cu dan Zn pada jenis tumbuhan mangrove dan Fitoremidiasi jenis tumbuhan mangrove. Analisis data dengan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (ASS) dan Fitoremidiasi (FTD), berdasarkan sampel bagian akar, daun  dan sedimen. Hasil penelitian serapan logam pada jenis Buguiera gymnorriza pada akar, daun dan sedimen secara berurutan pada Zn (seng) 5,833 ppm; 0,598 ppm; 6,775 ppm. Cu (tembaga) 0,0008 ppm. Pb (timbal) 0,0001 ppm.  serapan logam pada jenis Rhizophora apiculata pada akar, daun dan sedimen secara berurutan pada Zn (seng) 8,36 ppm 2,936; ppm; 32,987 ppm. Cu (tembaga) 0,0008 ppm. Pb (timbal) 0,0001 ppm. Fitoremidiasi (FTD) Tumbuhan Mangrove jenis Buguiera gymnorriza pada Akar 5,273 dan Daun 0,073. Fitoremidiasi pada mangerove Rhizophora apiculata pada Akar 0,16 dan Daun -0,26. Jenis Buguiera gymnorriza lebih berpotensi sebagai biofitoremidiasi alami dibanding jenis Rhizophora apiculata dalam penyerapan logam Zn. Kata Kunci:  Serapan Logam, Fitoremidiasi, Tumbuhan Mangrove

Abstract

Kebutuhan jagung nasional terus meningkat seiring jumlah penduduk dan peternak dalam memanfaatkan jagung sebagai bahan pangan, pakan dan bahan baku industri. Produksi jagung nasional belum mampu memenuhi permintaan pengguna, sehingga diperlukan upaya peningkatan produksi melalui pengaturan jarak tanam dan penggunaan varietas hibrida yang sesuai dengan tingkat populasi dan berproduksi maksimal. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat populasi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung hibrida. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan November 2018 – Februari 2019 di Kebun Percobaan Bajeng, Gowa Balai Penelitian Tanaman Serealia. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak  kelompok (RAK) 2 faktor dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama varietas : 1. Nasa 29, dan 2. Bima 2. Faktor kedua populasi tanaman, yaitu 1. jarak tanam (140 - 40) x 12.5 cm  (88.888 tan/ha), 2. (160 - 40) 20 cm (2 biji/lubang) (100.000 tan/ha), 3. (160 - 30) x 15 cm (70.125 tan/ha), 4. (160 - 40) x 12.5 cm. (80.000 tan/ha), 5. 70 x 20 cm (71.428 tan/ha). Peubah yang diamati : komponen agronomis (tinggi tanaman (cm) 35 hst dan 110 hst, tinggi letak tongkol (cm) 110 hst, panjang daun (cm)), komponen hasil : panjang tongkol (cm), jumlah baris, biji dalam baris, dan  bobot 100 biji), dan produksi biji (t/ha). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan varietas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah biji dalam baris, tinggi tanaman dan letak tongkol (110 hst) dan berpengaruh nyata pada panjang tongkol, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi, bobot 100 biji, jumlah baris, tinggi tanaman (35 hs) dan jumlah daun (35 hst), sedang populasi/jarak tanam tidak berpengaruh nyata dan tidak terjadi interaksi nyata varietas dan tingkat populasi/jarak tanam terhadap seluruh parameter. Produksi tertinggi varietas Nasa 29 yaitu  8,86 t/ha (populasi 88.888 tan./ha) dan Bima 2 yaitu 8,12 t/ha (populasi 71.248 tan./ha).

Abstract

Synthesis and characterization of the chitosan/PEO solid polymer membranes were carried out to determine the morphological structure, crystal structure and functional groups. Synthesis of the chitosan/PEO solid polymer membrane was carried out by solution casting method. Characterization was performed using the FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red), XRD (X-ray Diffraction), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) and EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy). The FTIR results showed that the chitosan/PEO solid polymer membrane interacted with the –OH and C-H functional groups at wave numbers 1500 - 945 cm-1 and formed a bending bond between functional groups  of the C-C and –NH3. The SEM results showed that the homogeneous agglomeration was formed on the membrane surface due to the addition of PEO powder. This causes the formation of bonds between atoms to unstable. The XRD results obtained that the chitosan/PEO solid polymer membrane pattern tended to have a semicrystalline structure. The graph of the EIS results shows the electric permittivity does not form a semicircular arc. There was no grain response on the chitosan / PEO solid polymer membrane. The results of SEM, XRD, FTIR and EIS characterization show that chitosan /PEO solid polymer membranes can be used as an alternative to solid polymer electrolytes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of noise caused by vehicles on campus A at PGRI Palembang University. Noise measurements were carried out in 3 different places that were passed by the vehicles of employees and students, namely the parking lot of Building A, Building B and Building C. The study was conducted in October 2020 for 5 working days of data collection. The measurement result data is analyzed by calculating the respective Leq as a measured noise level, then the Leq is compared with the quality standards recommended by the government for noise in educational institutions. The results showed that the noise in the campus A environment of PGRI Palembang University was in the range of Leq 57.3012 - 73.9548 dBA and did not meet the noise level quality standard for educational institutions, namely 55 dBA. This is because the location of the measurement is close to the traffic of vehicles.

Abstract

The acute research  toxicity test  of  Ipa  Glyphosate herbicide toward  mortality of sangkuriang catfish seeds (Clarias gariepinus) as a non target organism. The aim is to decide the concentrate of Ipa Glyphosate herbice that caused 50% mortality of sample (LC50) and the middle time mortality of sample (LT50. The toxicity test had done on March until May 2019 at Integrated Laboratory of PGRI Palembang University. Toxicity test of Ipa Glyphosate herbicide toward mortality of sangkuriang catsfish seeds used bioassay method for 96 hours. Concentrate that used: 29,3%, 34,2%, 39,7%, 45,6%, 52,1%, and 59,3%. The result of this research was got LC50  24 hours was 68,346%, 48 hours was 41,094%, 72 hours was 34,287%, 96 hours was 29,957%, and the result of LT50 for 29,3% concentrate was 79 hours, LT50 for 34,2% concentrate was got 76 hours, LT50 for 39,7% concentrate was got 68 hours, LT50 for 45,6% concentrate was got 42 hours, LT50 for 52,1% concentrate was got 41 hours, and LT50 59,3% concentrate was got 32 hours. Getting lower the concentrate of Ipa Glyphosate herbicide that used, it means more longer time needed to killing the sample.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi jenis ektoparasit, menentukan nilai prevalensi dan intensitas serangan ektoparasit pada ikan patin siam (Pangasius hypopthalmus). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara Purposive Sampling dengan sampel ikan total sebanyak 90 ekor pada 3 stasiun dan 9 sub stasiun ulangan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan April sampai Mei 2018 bertempat di 3 Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan yaitu Mina Kecapi, Sepakat dan Sumber Makmur yang berada pada  aliran Sungai Ogan Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Identifikasi sampel dilakukan di Balai Karantina Ikan, Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Kelas II Palembang. Hasil pengamatan ektoparasit di dapat dua jenis ektoparasit yaitu Dactylogyrus sp dan Trichodina sp.  Tingkat prevalensi ektoparasit Dactylogyrus sp pada Stasiun 1 sebesar 63.33%,  stasiun 2 sebesar 76.66 %  dan stasiun 3 sebesar 56.66 %.  Sedangkan prevalensi ektoparasit Trichodina sp pada stasiun 2 sebesar 6.66% pada insang dan 16.66% pada kulit atau lendir. Untuk nilai intensitas Dactylogyrus sp  pada ikan Patin Siam (Pangasius hypopthalmus) di stasiun 1 sebesar 4.8 ind/ekor, stasiun 2 sebesar 6.86 ind/ekor dan stasiun 3 sebesar 4.3 ind/ekor dan  Trichodina sp stasiun 2 adalah 16 ind/ekor bagian insang dan 45 ind/ekor bagian kulit atau lendir.

Abstract

There are many types of vegetables that are nutritious for health and metabolism, including cucumbers. Cucumbers are included in the vegetable category because cucumbers are often used as fresh vegetables or pickles. Cucumber cultivation is inseparable from pests and diseases. Pest management efforts must be carried out based on consideration of ecosystem stability. One of the techniques for controlling pests in cucumber plants can be done with technical culture. The research practice aims to determine the effect of technical culture on the diversity of pest types, population and intensity of cucumber pest attacks on two different fields in Tanjung Seteko Village, Inderalaya. The research was conducted with a sampling method to determine the population, intensity and pest attack. The research was carried out on two different fields of age and variety. Data analysis was performed using the t test at the 5% confidence level. Pests found in cucumber fields, namely, Aulacophora sp., Succinea sp., Valanga sp., And Leptoglossus sp. Based on observations in the field, technical culture in the village of Tanjung Seteko has a significant effect on the population and intensity of the attack of Succinea sp., Valanga sp. and Leptoglossus being Aulachopora sp. no significant effect.

Abstract

Research on Plant Ethnobotany Study in Perajen Village, Banyuasin 1 District, Banyuasin Regency, was conducted from June to July 2020. The research objective was to analyze the types of plant ethnobotany with medicinal properties and plant parts used as medicine. The study used a descriptive survey method with direct observation in the field. The method used was descriptive exploratory with interviews and field identification. The results showed that the types of medicinal plants from the spermatophyte division consisted of 2 classes, 15 orders, 17 families, 22 genera and 22 species, 49 types of diseases treated by medicinal plants, utilization of plant parts that are often used as traditional medicines by the community. Perajen Village in ethnobotany, namely leaves of 13 species of plants (35.1%), flowers, fruit, seeds, rhizomes, and roots of 3 species each (8.1%), stems, bark, sap, 2 species each. (5.4%), while the least used by the community is gel, water, tubers for each 1 species (2.7%), processing plant parts as medicine is often done by boiling.
