Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of the use of social networking media Edmodo on class discussions on practical learning of English; and the relationship between the use of social networking media Edmodo and students’ participation in class discussions on practical learning of English. The sample of this research was 32 students of class XI in the 2022/2023 academic year of Kebangsaan senior high school Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. This research was an experimental research type using a factorial design, where the test variable (x1) was the use of Edmodo social media, the control variable (x2) was without the use of Edmodo social media, the dependent variable (y1) consisted of students’ participation in class discussion in the first simulation on practical English teaching materials (y1), and the second simulation on practical English teaching materials (y2). The results of the MANOVA test proved that the effectiveness of using discussion forums using Edmodo to increase students' English learning participation. As a result, there were differences in students’ participation in class discussions in the first simulation on English practice teaching material (y1), and the second simulation on English practice teaching material (y2) with those who did not take part in discussions on the social networking media Edmodo (x2).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in interest in learning mathematics for class VIII students of SMPN 03 2x11 Kayutanam through active knowledge sharing learning strategies. This type of research is pre-experimental with a one group pretest posttest research design. The population of this study were all students of class VIII SMPN 03 2x11 Kayutanam. The sampling technique was carried out by means of random sampling, and assigned class VIII A as the sample class. The instruments used in this study were pretest and posttest questionnaires for students' learning interest with an active knowledge sharing strategy. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is the paired sample t test. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained from the average student pretest questionnaire results was 49.125 while the average student posttest questionnaire results were 70.667. Based on the calculation results of the paired sample t test at the significance level ???? = 0.05, the tcount = 8.749 and ttable = 1.714. Based on the results of the calculation th > tt, it means rejecting H0 and accepting H1, meaning that there are differences in students' interest in learning mathematics after using the active knowledge sharing strategy in class VIII students of SMPN 03 2x11 Kayutanam. So that in this study it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' interest in learning mathematics with active knowledge sharing learning strategies in class VIII SMPN 03 2x11 Kayutanam.

Abstract

This study uses the Superitem learning model learning model. The formulation of the research problem is "Is there any influence of the Superitem learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in class X IPA SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang for the 2021/2022 academic year". The aim is to find out whether there is an effect of the Superitem learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in class X IPA SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang for the 2021/2022 academic year. The hypothesis of this study "There is a significant influence of the Superitem learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in class X IPA SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang for the 2021/2022 academic year." This research is an experimental type by designing the static group comparison. The research population was all students of class X IPA SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang and the samples were class X IPA 1 and X IPA 2. The instruments used in this study included mathematical reasoning ability tests. The data analysis technique used is t test and Minitab Software. Based on the results of the analysis, tcount = 2.62 and ttable = 1.672. Because 2.62> 1.672, the conclusion is that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion is that the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who take part in learning using the Superitem learning model are better than students who take conventional learning in class X IPA SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

Rescheduling implementation is to find out how much income Islamic financial institutions earn through rescheduling (Rescheduling) for customers who fail to fulfill their obligations. By resecheduling, Islamic financial institutions can minimize losses that occur as a result of channeling the funds provided. The mechanism for implementing rescheduling for troubled working capital financing uses a murabahah contract at BPRS X, in accordance with Islamic economics and the DSN MUI Fatwa. The rescheduling mechanism at BPRS ARTHA MADANIis carried out by providing an extension of the financing period, the remaining principal to the customer is used as new financing in accordance with the installment value of the customer's ability to pay, the rescheduling process at BPRS ARTHA MADANIis carried out by changing the financing period, payment schedule and installment amount, but does not change the remaining balance payment at the beginning of the contract. The rescheduling implementation at BPRS ARTHA MADANIwent well, the rescheduling proved to be more effective in resolving problematic financing, the rescheduling implementation at BPRS ARTHA MADANIwas also in accordance with the basic principles of Islamic economics, letter Al-Baqarah article 280 and DSN legal letters Article 280. 48/DSN-MUI/II/2005 regarding the rearrangement of the murabaha law.

Abstract

The university is a learning implementing agency for senior secondary education in the formal education pathway. This is in line with the definition of higher education as stipulated in Law Number 20, Article 19 (1) of 2003. Basically all libraries are collaborative processes, namely institutions that provide information services to users. However, each type of library has a determining interpretation in its development so that there is a difference from other libraries. The academic library is an example of the many classifications of libraries. The research method used in this research is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The purpose of this research was to find out students' perceptions of SWCU O. Notohamidjojo Library Circulation Services. The results of the research that have been explained from the discussion in the previous chapter, conclusions were obtained regarding students' perceptions of circulation services at the SWCU O. Notohamidjojo University Library.

Abstract

Learning activities are basically communication activities because in the learning process, teachers and students are involved in the process of delivering messages, using media, and receiving messages. Gestures are spontaneous movements of the hands or body which generally occur during face-to-face conversations. The movement is a gesture to convey a message in the form of an impression in a way that words cannot. Gestures are divided into four main categories, namely (1) iconic gestures, (2) metaphoric gestures, (3) deitic gestures and (4) beat gestures. The purpose of this study was to find out what gestures were made by class VII students of SMP N 2 Ampek Angkek during the learning process. The type of research conducted is descriptive qualitative. Sampling of this study used the Proposive Sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and video. It was concluded that students used iconic gestures 30 times, deictic gestures 25 times, and metaphoric gestures 5 times when solving math problems in comparative material. The benefits of this gesture are carried out by students who explain material in solving mathematical problems, among others, to focus attention on the intended object, describe the object being thought of, focus attention on the object being discussed, and concretize the idea being thought of. The use of gestures can also make it easier for students or listeners to understand and easily understand the material being studied or the information conveyed.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the types and meanings of slang words used by a podcast from YouTube channel “CURHAT BANG Denny Sumargo”. This research applies Mattiello's (2008) theory about various types of slang words. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data were taken from captions of podcast that have been uploaded by YouTube channel “CURHAT BANG Denny Sumargo” in October 2022. This research finds that there are six types of slang by Mattiello used in podcast “Gagal bikin anak di Malaysia, air mata Lucinta Luna tumpah disini”, including acronym or initialism, clipping, compounding, reduplicative, variation, and word manufacture and fanciful formation. From six types of slang discovered, acronym is the most used slang on the podcast. On the other hand, the podcast used some clipping, reduplicative, and word manufacture. This research finds that more than 50% of Mattiello’s slang words used in the podcast.

Abstract

This article describes the condition of the Indonesia-RDTL (Timor Leste) border area, starting from the history of attempts to secede from the Indonesian state, to the threats faced by Indonesia, especially the border communities in facing the worst possibilities that could occur between the two countries. Threats faced by Indonesia include military threats and non-military threats. In general, Indonesia's military strength is far superior in terms of personnel and defense equipment, while in dealing with non-military threats, the threats faced include refugees to smuggling, both narcotics smuggling and illegal firearms smuggling. The defense strategy to the policies implemented by the government are different in dealing with each threat. Policies in the form of adding security posts to improving the quality of personnel are government policy steps in dealing with military threats, while in dealing with non-military threats, policy steps taken by the government include repatriation to resettlement and improving people's living standards. In conclusion, the defense strategy and policies adopted by the government in securing the Indonesia-East Timor border area are a long-term and sustainable strategy to provide a sense of security for all Indonesian people, especially the people in the border areas.

Abstract

This research is quantitative with a descriptive survey research method that aims to collect data and describe an existing symptom, namely the level of motivation and interest in student learning during the Covid-19 pandemic located at SMPN 27 Bulukumba. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, where the researcher uses the entire population as a sample consisting of 91 students. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire, by applying a self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire uses a closed statement with a Likert scale measurement procedure with data analysis techniques consisting of the editing stage, data input stage, and tabulation stage. At this stage the data that has been inputted is then calculated the frequency and percentage. The results showed that the level of student motivation and interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMPN 27 Bulukumba was low, this was due to limited student learning facilities, changes in the learning system to be brave, and rigid learning that made learning unattractive for students.

Abstract

The high number of work accidents in Indonesia, especially in the construction sector, makes the implementation of the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK) very important. Behavior that ignores Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is the biggest contributor to the high number of work accidents, therefore it is deemed necessary to manage OSH systematically and comprehensively in a complete management system as an effort to prevent work accidents. The SMKK assessment in the Renovation and Expansion Project of the Class 1A Sungguminasa District Court office building aims to find out how much the implementation level of the SMKK is implemented starting from the Planning, Implementation and Maintenance Stages, what factors influence the fulfillment of the implementation of the SMKK and then provide a response as an effort to carry out corrective action/improvement. The implementation of SMKK in the Renovation and Expansion Project for the Office Building of the Class 1A Sungguminasa District Court is expected to comply with and refer to the applicable laws and regulations.
