Abstract

Pop up book learning media is a book in which there are three-dimensional images that display interesting visualizations. The use of the latest learning media such as pop up books can make it easier for students to understand the material and with this media also as a support for learning facilities. This pop up book learning media development research uses the ADDIE model which has 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The purpose of this study was to find out how the development of pop up book learning media in elementary school science subjects. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 59 OKU in grade V which amounted to 18 students. Data collection techniques carried out are by using expert validation and questionnaires. Expert validation data and student response questionnaires are calculated using a percentage formula. The results of the three validators resulted in a score with an average value of 91.7% with very valid criteria. Then pop up book learning media is categorized as suitable for use. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained a score of 96.9% with very practical criteria. From these data, it can be concluded that the development of pop up book learning media in elementary school science subjects is valid, and learning media is very practical to use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the Examples Non Examples learning model can improve Civics learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 10 Talang Kelapa. This research is a type of quantitative research using the experimental method of the True-Experimental Design research type in the form of a Posttest-Only Design . The variables of this study consist of the independent variable (X), namely the Examples Non Examples learning model and the dependent variable (Y), namely learning outcomes. The population of this study were 60 students in class VA and class VB SD Negeri 10 Talang Kelapa. The samples taken were 30 students in VA class as an experimental class who were taught using the Examples Non Examples learning model and 30 students in VB class as a control class who were taught conventionally. In taking samples using Simple Random Sampling. The data collection technique used in this study was tests, tests were used to improve student learning outcomes in Elementary Civics subjects. Data analysis technique uses the t-test formula. The calculation results show the value of t count > t table , namely 8,640 > 1.672, which means rejecting Ho and accepting Ha, so it can be concluded from the results of the study that there is an influence of the Examples Non Examples Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of Civics Learning Students at SD Negeri 10 Talang Kelapa.

Abstract

Currently, the development of technology is so rapid, especially in the world of education, it is caused by the emergence of technological developments in the process of managing resources and increasingly advanced human intelligence. Based on this, the researcher will develop an information service media, namely illustrated e-books to prevent bullying behavior. The problem in this study is that there is still a tendency of bullying that occurs in schools and a lack of electronic media in providing information services. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility and validity of the developed product. This type of research uses a development model (research & development), using the 3D model. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and observations. The data analysis technique uses validity and practicality analysis. Based on the results of media expert validation of 100% and linguist validation of 80%. It can be concluded that the illustrated e-book to prevent bullying behavior developed is suitable for use.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that is very less popular in school learning, therefore the problem faced in this research is the lack of ability to calculate multiplication. The aim of this research is for students to improve their ability to calculate multiplication. This research uses correlational research with a quantitative method approach, Quantitative correlational research is research that is intended to determine whether there is a relationship between two or more variables. Researchers use data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation. then technical data analysis is used through hypothesis testing, normality testing, coefficient of determination testing, and homogeneity testing. Based on the results of research hypothesis testing that has been carried out, a value of 0.864 > 0.468 is obtained, indicating that there is a fairly close relationship between the Jarimatics method and multiplication. And by obtaining a significant value of 0.000 where 0.000 < 0.005, we can conclude that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Self efficacy affects the way a person thinks, motivates himself and acts. The problem in this study is that there are still students who do not complete assignments, easily give up when they encounter difficulties and have never carried out group guidance using visual art media. The goal to be achieved in this study is to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services using visual art media in increasing student self-efficacy. This study uses a quantitative method Pre-Experiment (Pre-Experiment Design, One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). The research subjects were class VIII7 students with a population of 32 students, and a total sample of 8 students. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling, this technique is not sampling on strata, random, but based on research objectives. From the results of research and data analysis, it shows that there is an increase in the self-efficacy of students after being given treatment of group guidance services using visual art media as evidenced by the results of a high increase in self-efficacy scores from 49% to 74%, this is also confirmed from the results of the Wilcoxon test with a significant 0.012 which means 0.012> 0.05, the hypothesis in this study is accepted. So it can be concluded that group guidance using visual art media is effective in increasing the self-efficacy of students at SMP Negeri 16 Palembang. Abstract

Developing professional understanding is essential to enable them to make informed career decisions and develop optimally. To fulfill this expectation, which aims to ensure that students' self-image and professional understanding increases significantly, this study aims to determine whether there is an influence in group guidance using art and craft media on students where researchers use an experimental quantitative research methodology, namely experimental design which is research to look for the effect of a treatment. To support the success of researchers to strengthen research by using purposive sampling. The sample in this study were 15 students who had low career understanding. Based on the results of the study and discussion, it can be concluded that the control group used Art anad Craft media was effective in increasing career understanding, this can be seen through the results of the pretest by distributing career understanding questionnaires where there were 15 students who did not understand careers, experienced an increase in career understanding scores, namely high. From 44.12% to 73.80% after Art and Craft media. Having carried out group guidance through art and craft greatly increased students' understanding of careers. The results of the hypothesis show that there are differences in career understanding. students before and after this treatment were confirmed by the results of the Wilcoxon test. With a significance value of 0.001, which means 0.001 > 0.05, the hypothesis put forward in this study is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the provision of group guidance services using art and craft media on the professional understanding of students of SMP Negeri 16 Palembang. The researcher hopes that this research will be useful to find out the effectiveness of group guidance through art and craft media in fostering students' interests and talents in determining their future.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the important sciences to be taught to children from an early age. Concepts in mathematics can shape students' knowledge so as to help in the development of knowledge at a higher level of education. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of mathematical communication skills on the understanding of concepts possessed by grade VI elementary school students in LH schools. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach by distributing five test items to 54 students. The results found that mathematical communication skills positively affect on understanding of concepts. Moreover, indicator of using mathematical language correctly in expressing mathematical ideas is the most influential than that of the other three indicators on students' mathematical communication skills on understanding concepts.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the validity and practicality of scrapbook learning media developed in social studies learning material on the type of business of Indonesian society. The type of research is Research and Development. The model used is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The product validity test was carried out by filling out a questionnaire given to three experts, namely media experts, material experts, and language experts, and the product practicability test was carried out to teachers and students of class V B. The data obtained were obtained from observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data analysis of product validity and practicality. The results of the acquisition of validity data values obtained from experts get an average score of 78.8% with a valid category based on questionnaire criteria data. The practicality of scrapbook media was assessed by distributing student and teacher response questionnaires. At the small group stage, the score was 85.8%, at the large group stage, the score was 80.7%, and the teacher response questionnaire obtained a score of 91.1% with an average overall score obtained of 85.8% with a very practical category based on questionnaire criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that the scrapbook media is included in the valid category and is very practical to use.

Abstract

Multiplication is the act of repeatedly adding the same integer results in multiplication. Initial observations at SD Negeri 19 Palembang revealed that pupils had trouble multiplying by more than one digit, which contributed to their poor learning outcomes. The lattice method is a multiplication method that can be used as a solution to students' difficulties in multiplication. This study sought to ascertain whether the lattice approach had any impact on the learning results for multiplication in class IV SD Negeri 19 Palembang. The type of research used in this study was one group pretest-posttest experimental research, which took the form of a pre-experimental design. 25 students from class IV A made up the sample for this study. According to the findings, the average score from the beginning of the exam rose from 67.88 to 76.24 at its conclusion. Additionally, the results of the Paired Sample T-Test used to test the hypothesis show that H0 is not accepted since tcount = 7.7633 > ttable = 2.064. This indicates that the application of the lattice technique has a considerable impact on the learning results for multiplication in class IV SD Negeri 19 Palembang. Therefore, it can be stated that the lattice method's use affects the learning results for multiplication in class IV SD Negeri 19 Palembang.

Abstract

Cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest are life-threatening emergencies and can result in death if help is given too late. One of the first aid measures is basic life support (BHD). BHD is an action given when a patient is suddenly unconscious, not breathing, and has no heartbeat. This research aims to determine the level of knowledge about BHD among pre-clinical students class 2014-2017, Faculty of Medicine, Pattimura University, Ambon in 2018. The method used is descriptive with a cross sectional study design. The sampling for this research was carried out by total sampling with a sample size of 63 respondents from the class of 2014, 63 respondents from the class of 2015, 65 respondents from the class of 2016, and 105 respondents from the class of 2017, so that the total number of respondents obtained was 296 respondents. Data was collected using a questionnaire consisting of 15 questions. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that students from the class of 2014 were classified as good (74.6%), students from the class of 2015 were classified as fair (44.4%), students from the class of 2016 were classified as poor (36.9%), and students from the class of 2017 were classified as poor (54.3%). The conclusion of this research shows that the level of knowledge of pre-clinical students at the Faculty of Medicine, Pattimuran University regarding basic life support in the class of 2014 is better than that of pre-clinical students in the class of 2015-2017.
