Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of professional perceptions, perceived welfare, and family environment on interest in becoming an economics teacher. The sampling technique used probability sampling techniques, namely proportionate random sampling with a sample of 170 UNS Economics Education students. Validity test uses product moment and reliability test uses Cronbach's alpha. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive statistical analysis, logistic regression analysis, t test, and F test. The results of this research show that: (1) Perception of the teacher profession has a positive and significant effect on interest in becoming an economics teacher among UNS Economics Education students. (2) Perceptions of teacher welfare do not influence interest in becoming an economics teacher among UNS Economics Education students. (3) The family environment has a positive and significant effect on interest in becoming an economics teacher among UNS Economics Education students. (4) Perceptions of the teacher profession, perceptions of teacher welfare, and family environment simultaneously influence the interest in becoming an economics teacher among UNS Economics Education students.

Abstract

This study compares teaching methods in Indonesian and Thai elementary schools using a descriptive comparative approach. The results show that there are significant differences in government support for education in the two countries. Thailand has significantly greater government support, which is reflected in the provision of well-equipped school facilities, including technology. These facilities allow teachers to use more interactive teaching methods. On the other hand, Indonesia has more limited government support. However, Indonesia has developed a strategy that emphasizes inclusivity and community empowerment. This strategy is reflected in the curriculum, teaching methods, and evaluation approaches. Despite these differences, both countries share a commitment to improving the quality of education. The study highlights the importance of understanding the social, cultural, and policy context when designing effective teaching methods. By adopting best practices from each other, governments and educators can enhance elementary-level learning.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine whether a noteworthy disparity exists between students instructed using the One effective strategy for improving reading comprehension is the Read, Cover, Remember, Retell (RCRR) approach. Comparatively, conventional teaching methods are also utilized to teach reading comprehension achievement. This study was quantitative, utilizing an experimental method and employing an actual experimental design. Cluster random sampling was utilized for the sampling process in collecting the data. The population is 94 students, and the sample is 61 students. The data was acquired through Independent t-test analysis via SPSS 16, comparing the post-test results of the experimental and control groups results. The researcher's statistical analysis involved utilizing an independent t-test within SPSS 16 and concluded that the Sig (2-tailed) (0,001 <0.05). It indicates that there were no substantial differences between the experimental and control groups. So, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the alternative idea (Ha) was accepted. The read, Cover, Remember, Retell (RCRR) strategy was significantly influenced in teaching reading comprehension achievement.

Abstract

The New Kali Kebo Channel is a diversion from the old Kali Kebo Channel located in the Sub-Watershed of Watu Burik, a part of the Bengawan Solo Watershed. The purpose of this channel diversion is to meet land requirements for the construction of the Putri Cempo Waste-to-Energy Power Plant (PLTSa), aiming for a unified land area and facilitating ease of PLTSa operation. This diversion has the impact of a longer, wider, and deeper channel, leading to changes in river slope and flow velocity. The changes in hydraulic characteristics can lead to alterations in the river's cross-sectional capacity and the bank discharge of the river. The new channel employs non-erodible L-Gutter structures to prevent organic content from waste fermentation from entering the river. The river's waste content has the potential to alter river morphology due to the addition of suspended sediment discharge. The results of 1D and 2D unsteady flow modeling using the HEC-RAS model with a Q25-year discharge indicate significant overflow heights at the L-Gutter outlet, reaching a height of approximately ±20-30 cm.

Abstract

In this paper researcher is trying to make an android-based application that can identify fish with formalin with previous version with adding some more data training. The method used in researcher methods naïve Bayes classifier as a detector (detector) with the object input in the form of fish eye image. The steps in the study include the training and testing process. In the training process used to build the model naïve classifier and estimation parameters. While testing process, implement the results of the model and parameter estimation have been built to detect fish formalin or not formalin. The trial results demonstrate the ability-based applications using the naïve Bayes 98.3% for object dimensions 10x10 image

Abstract

This research focuses on investigating syntactical errors found in the students’ abstract. It is expected that the result of research can provide useful information about students’ problem in writing abstract, particularly problem in syntax. This research aims to find out types of syntactical errors made by the students in writing abstracts and to discover the reason why the students make syntactical errors in writing abstracts. Therefore, the research tries to find out the way to overcome syntactical errors in students’ abstracts. The method of this research is a descriptive qualitative study that constitutes a study with a grounded theory as data analysis. This research is conducted to find out types of syntactical errors made by the students in writing abstract, to discover the reason why the students make syntactical errors in writing abstract and to find out the way to overcome syntactical errors in students’ abstract. There are some conclusions as the results of the research. Firstly, the syntactical errors which often appear are minor syntactical units (article, preposition, genitive and plural of noun). Secondly, lack of attention given by the lectures or students to the minor syntactical units when they taught or learned can be the influence of the students’ mother language (Bahasa Indonesia) that influences their foreign language (English).
