Abstract

Online gambling has become a prominent phenomenon among students because it is considered a fast way to earn money instantly, even becoming the main source of income for some students to meet their daily needs. However, serious attention to this phenomenon arises because it is considered detrimental to the future of Indonesia's young generation, changing mindsets in earning a living and forming less productive personalities. Some cases involve students using money from their tuition fees to gamble without considering the risks, potentially threatening their ability to pay off educational costs. Therefore, this research aims to identify the factors driving students to engage in online gambling. Factors such as social, economic, situational aspects, learning environment, perception of winning, and perception of addiction influence students' tendencies in online gambling, while secretive attitudes, difficulty accepting advice, stubbornness, and reluctance to admit or avoid potential dangers are obstacles in dealing with this phenomenon.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Macromedia Flash 8 on students' mathematical problem solving abilities on cube nets and blocks. This research uses a quantitative experimental type method in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study was class V students at SDN Langensari 02. With the sample being class VA as the experimental class and class VB as the control class. Sampling used purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using tests and non-tests using non-test techniques, namely observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques use normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and regression tests. The results of the research show: There is an influence of the Discovery Learning learning model using Macromedia Flash 8 on increasing students' problem solving abilities as evidenced by tcount = 12.412 > ttable = 2.110 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and influencing the problem solving ability variable by 76.2%. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Discovery Learning learning model using Macromedia Flash 8 on students' problem solving abilities.

Abstract

An instrument is a tool that is used as a tool to measure a measuring object or collect data from a variable. An instrument is said to be good if it is valid and reliable. Validity consists of content, construct, empirical validity. The internal validity of dichotomous item scores and polytomous item scores respectively used biserial correlation and product moment correlation. The criteria for an item to be valid or invalid are based on the r-table value. Reliability of combined item consistency for dichotomous item scores and polytomous item scores respectively used KR-20 and Alpha coefficient. The interpretation of the reliability coefficient is a relative interpretation in the sense that there is no absolute limit that indicates what the minimum coefficient number must be achieved so that a measurement can be called reliable. However, the observed test scores provide information on the true scores of individual groups.

Abstract

Bantuan Oprasional Sekolah (BOS) are one of the school's financial sources for carrying out educational activities at school. Schools are obliged to plan the allocation of funds carefully and calculatingly, as well as monitor the use of funds for operational and capital costs, as well as provide administrative and physical (material) evidence of how funds are used. However, unfortunately there are still many schools that are still indifferent to managing school finances, especially BOS funds. For this reason, this research aims to determine the management of education financing, in this case BOS funds, as a guide for other institutions in managing BOS funding in accordance with established regulations. The method used in this research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this research are: a) planning a budget by identifying goals, determining priorities, describing goals into measurable operational performance, analyzing alternatives for achieving goals with cost-effectiveness analysis, making recommendations for alternative approaches to achieving targets. b) budget realization by making real expenditures according to needs and physical evidence. c) carry out budget supervision and control, supervision carried out by certain parties within the school whose official function is to carry out supervision such as the principal and treasurer of the BOS, as well as the education office and the BPK as external supervisors of BOS finances in the school.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to determine 1) the implementation of learning on the elements of making basic patterns of the female body using video tutorial media, 2) student responses with the application of video tutorial media on the elements of making basic patterns of women's bodies, 3) the influence of video tutorial media on student learning outcomes. This research used a quantitative descriptive research method with research subjects of 34 students of Class X Fashion Design 1 SMK Negeri 3 Kediri.The research results show that: 1) The use of video tutorial media in implementing the learning process is categorized as very good so that it is very effective in teaching students; 2) The results of the student response questionnaire show that the average student response is interested in using video tutorials as a learning medium; 3) The learning outcomes of students who use video tutorial media increase significantly so that they are included in the complete category. The findings of this research are able to help students understand the material so as to achieve the completeness criteria in the KKTP (Learning Achievement Criteria). Apart from that, the application of video media can not only be applied in schools but students can apply video tutorials anywhere and anytime, therefore video tutorial media is said to be very good for application in learning.

Abstract

Instagram is a popular social media platform and is used by many people, including generation Z. This platform offers various features that support users in spreading content, interacting with friends, and building social networks. In recent years, Instagram has become a very popular platform among generation Z. This platform offers various interesting features, such as short video displays (IGTV), various content formats (carousel, album, and hybrid video), and interactive features such as stories and interactions with friends (likes, comments and shares). Therefore, Instagram is an ideal place for young people to interact socially and promises interesting content. This platform allows users to display their content creatively and interact with friends, either directly directing friends through comments and likes, or through the interactive feature Instagram Stories. In this context, we will discuss how Instagram's features influence the way generation Z interacts socially, as well as how this platform has become an important tool in their daily lives. Additionally, we'll discuss how users can optimize their Instagram experience to increase social interactions and build a strong network. In the results of this research, we will discuss the use of Instagram by generation Z in various aspects, from the features used to successful marketing strategies. By understanding the role of social media Instagram in social interaction in generation Z, we can conclude that Instagram has the potential to become a very important tool in the life and rise of generation Z in the digital world.

Abstract

The fundamental question in this study is whether the implementation of the nation's national education system has reflected the philosophical views rooted in Pancasila. The research method applied is library research or can also be called Library Research. Library research is a type of research that uses the necessary data from books, dictionaries, documents, magazines, articles, journals, and other similar sources. The results of this study, among others, are that the Pancasila education philosophy as the spirit of the national education system in Indonesia must be truly lived as a source of value and reference in strategic planning in the field of education in Indonesia. The philosophy of Pancasila Education must be implemented in a real and consistent manner so that Indonesian human development as mandated in the great ideals of the Indonesian nation can be achieved with the basic principles of Pancasila values, namely the principle of religiosity, the embodiment and appreciation of human values, holding fast to the spirit of unity as a nation, the spirit of respect for differences and respect for democratic life and the embodiment of justice values, all of which must be realised through a dignified educational process.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the potential for developing reading literacy at Sekolah Indonesia Bangkok (SIB). Reading literacy is a critical aspect in the intellectual development of students and is a key factor for academic success. In the context of SIB, this research explores the challenges and opportunities faced by the school in enhancing reading literacy, as well as strategies that can be implemented to improve students' reading skills. The research methodology involves classroom observations, interviews with teachers and school staff, and analysis of documents related to literacy curriculum. The findings of this research identify several hindering factors to reading literacy at SIB, such as limited resources, lack of awareness of the importance of reading literacy, and language challenges for non-native students. Survey data indicates that the reading literacy of students at Sekolah Indonesia Bangkok is 82%, which is considered good, while the reading literacy of students at Sekolah Indonesia Bangkok is 92%, indicating it is very good. However, the research also reveals the potential for developing reading literacy through the implementation of innovative teaching methods, parental involvement, and collaboration with librarians or literacy specialists. Strategic recommendations are also proposed to support SIB's efforts in improving reading literacy, including the development of an integrated literacy curriculum and training for teachers. The results of this research are expected to provide a positive contribution to SIB and the education community in Thailand, as well as to serve as a guide for Indonesian schools abroad in optimizing their reading literacy programs.

Abstract

The study of surface wind characteristics in the airport area is needed to support flight operations in terms of safety and economy. Surface wind data is required during the aircraft take-off and landing phases. The information on surface wind characteristics is used for flight operational planning or the construction and expansion of an airport runway. To be able to know the description of the monthly surface wind profile in the airport area, the frequency distribution method is very appropriate to use. Research on surface wind patterns with the frequency distribution method in the Soekarno-Hatta Airport area over the past ten-year period shows that January - April the surface wind direction is dominated from the west, May - September is dominated from the east. The months of October, November, and December are a transition from the east to return to the west which is dominated from the south and southwest. This is in line with the general pattern of Indonesia's climate which is influenced by the west monsoon and east monsoon phenomena.

Abstract

This writing aims to explain the use of Indonesian in journalism. Various news languages have their own characteristics which are called news language styles. Journalistic language is the language used by journalists (journalists) when writing news articles in the mass media. In practice, there are still some mass media that do not comply with linguistic rules in reporting. There are three possibilities that cause this: First, journalists lack knowledge and understanding of linguistic rules; secondly, journalists pay less attention to the use of good words. and appropriate language rules. Third, Indonesian and journalists do not comply with applicable language rules.This research uses a descriptive qualitative research approach with the data collection techniques used are documentation techniques and hermeneutic techniques. In this research, the validation technique The data source in this research is the main news published in the October 2023 edition. The data collected in this research is in the form of words or sentences so that the research results are aimed at revealing findings in the form of descriptions. The sample in this study was 10 (ten) detik.com news stories.The results of the research by taking ten examples of articles show that there are still errors such as the use of inappropriate words in the news, errors in writing verbs, there is a waste of words, there are inconsistencies in the use of language. However, there are also articles that are good and meet language rules. So it can be concluded that there are still some articles that still need to pay attention to language rules to avoid mistakes in writing news.
