Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of presentation of traditional Tuddukat music in the Arat Sabulungan ritual in the Mentawai Islands. This research took place in the Mentawai Islands. The Arat Sabulungan ritual acts as an intermediary between the world of spirits and humans. This causes Tuddukat not only to function as a means of communication between tribe members, but also as a means of communication with the spirit world. This research uses qualitative analysis techniques aimed at collecting data, interviews and documentation regarding the form of presentation and meaning of Tuddukat poetry in the Arat Sabulungan ritual. The traditional Tuddukat music of the Mentawai tribe, Tuddukat is made from kulib forest wood or Babaet, Tuddukat consists of 3 kentongan, namely (1) Ina Tuddukat as the parent (2) Middle Sileleite Tuddukat, (3) Toga Tuddukat child. Tuddukat play an important role in survival, they express their feelings, such as sadness, joy, sorrow, which are played out in every Tetabuhan. The research results show that the form of presentation of Tuddukat music in the Mentawai Islands is as a medium for emotional expression for Tuddukat players, as entertainment for the audience, as aesthetic satisfaction for the community, as a means of long-distance communication conveying moral messages. The Arat Sabulungan ritual acts as an intermediary between the world of spirits and humans. This causes Tuddukat not only to function as a means of communication between tribe members, but also as a means of communication with the spirit world. The meaning contained in the Tuddukat poetry is the feeling of joy that can be felt by the people who watch it as well as the positive impact of playing or listening to the Tuddukat drumming, while the Tuddukat players themselves experience the Arat Sabulungan ritual.

Abstract

The independent curriculum is the newest curriculum in Indonesia which changes traditional learning methods to encourage learning that is centered on students' abilities. It is implemented in all subjects, one of which is Education, Physical, Sports and Health (PJOK). The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of PJOK learning in SMAN/SMKN in Driyorejo District using the Independent Curriculum and the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the independent curriculum. The method used in this research is a survey by distributing questionnaires to respondents. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The population used was PJOK teachers and eleventh grade students at SMAN and SMKN Driyorejo and the research sample was the principal, deputy principal, five PJOK teachers, and two hundred and twenty-one students. The sampling technique applies cluster random sampling. Data analysis used percentage. Based on the research results, it can be explained that; 1) The implementation of the independent curriculum in PJOK subjects in SMAN and SMKN throughout Driyorejo District is in the "sufficient" category. Therefore, there are still several indicators or components that need to be improved for both teachers and students. 2) The factors that support the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMAN 1 Driyorejo and SMKN 1 Driyorejo are that the principal and head of curriculum support the continuous PJOK teacher training and development program regarding the implementation of the independent curriculum, and 3) the factor that hinders the implementation of the independent curriculum is that not all teachers understand learning flow in the independent curriculum.

Abstract

In the contemporary human experience, the utilization of mobile devices has become paramount across various domains, particularly in the realm of education. The integration of mobile devices into the educational landscape has permeated schools at all levels, with primary schools demonstrating unique applications and functionalities tailored to their specific grade structures. Moreover, the employment of mobile devices by students undoubtedly exerts an influence on their cognitive development. This research endeavors to investigate the implementation of mobile devices in ICT instruction for students at SD Al-Irsyad 01 Cilacap and to elucidate the role of mobile devices in ICT pedagogy that can potentially impact student achievement at SD Al-Irsyad 01 Cilacap. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology, this study will engage in the analysis and description of the core research problem, encompassing a diverse range of data and information gathered. The research subjects comprise students from class VC at SD Al-Irsyad 01 Cilacap. Interviews, observations, and documentation serve as the data collection techniques for this study. The findings of this research reveal that the utilization of mobile devices in ICT instruction plays a pivotal role in students' cognitive development, as evidenced by the academic achievements of several students in class VC at SD Al-Irsyad 01 Cilacap. The integration of mobile devices into ICT pedagogy fosters an optimal and interactive learning environment, thereby nurturing students' learning interest.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the misconceptions that occur in chemical bonding materials and offer remediation processes. This type of research was library research with data taken from library materials or information. There were 32 scientific journals related to the research topic, then grouped within the last five years, and four scientific journals were produced that discussed misconceptions in chemical bonding material and four scientific journals that discussed the process of remediation of misconceptions in chemical bonding material. Based on the results of the review, misconceptions about chemistry occur in almost every sub-topic. The offer to remediate misconceptions that occur in this material is the ECIRR learning model, cognitive conflict strategy, and conceptual change strategy.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the patterns of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up in academic supervision by the headmaster to improve teacher performance at MAN 4 East Aceh in facing Society 5.0 era, as well as to explore the constraints faced. The research used a qualitative approach. The results show that academic supervision at MAN 4 East Aceh is carried out systematically through stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. Planning includes developing a supervisory program, assigning tasks to supervisor teams, and creating a supervisory schedule while implementation is done through classroom visits and observations. Evaluation involves assessing learning tools and teaching practices with feedback and continuous coaching as follow-ups. Constraints include scheduling delays; limited human resources; slow technology adaptation; and infrastructure limitations. The practical implications of this study indicate the need for technology training for teachers and investment in infrastructure facilities. Theoretical implications strengthen the importance of comprehensive and adaptive supervision approaches in facing Society 5.0 era. However, this study is limited among others so its results may not be fully generalizable.Recommendations for future research involve expanding studies to other madrasahs use mixed methods for more comprehensive analysis.

Abstract

Technological developments have brought significant changes to the academic writing and publication process. This article explores the various impacts of technology on researchers and academics, including increased efficiency in literature searching, collaborative writing, and dissemination of research results. With the adoption of reference management software, online collaborative writing tools and open publishing platforms, academics can now access information faster, collaborate more effectively and reach a wider audience. In addition, advances in data analytics and plagiarism detection tools are improving the integrity and quality of scholarly work. However, this article also highlights emerging challenges, such as reliance on technology and issues related to copyright and data privacy. This research combines literature reviews and case studies to provide a comprehensive overview of how technology is shaping the future of academic writing and publishing. Abstract

BIPA's strategy in planning teaching must involve the use of 3D animated films and e-book media because these two tools are very important to achieve learning objectives. The preparation of strategies and materials needs to be done carefully so that learning is effective. This research uses the library study method, which is a research approach carried out by examining books, literature, notes, reports and literary works that are relevant to the problem being researched. The goal is so that students can easily understand the material taught by the teacher. One way to achieve this is by elaborating on strategies and material related to elections, as well as adding local elements so that the material is not too difficult for students to understand. Therefore, strategic management and organization are essential to ensure learning is structured in the most effective and efficient way to achieve the desired goals

Abstract

The problem raised in this research is how socioguistic language variations influence language changes in society in the current era of globalization. In this research, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive research method using a sociolinguistic approach. The research subject is a 58 year old trader who is a multilingual community and a Toba Batak speaker to gain in-depth views and understanding of language use in the social context of their community. Research data was obtained through participant observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Observations are carried out in real situations in multilingual communities to observe language use and existing language variations. Data is also collected from written sources. The results of this research show that the influence of globalization has brought about significant changes in everyday language use, where Toba Batak language tends to be replaced by Indonesian or English, especially among the younger generation. The aim of this research is to understand the impact of language change on multilingual societies in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Problem Based Learning process and the results of improving students' reading comprehension skills with the help of Class IV Chromebooks at SD Negeri 39, Pontianak City District. The research method used is action research in the form of collaborative classroom action research. The research subjects were 31 students consisting of 9 men and 15 women as well as class IV A teachers at SD Negeri 39, Pontianak City District. The data collection technique used is observation of test questions. Data collection tools include observation sheets and tests. This research was conducted over two cycles. The results of this research include: The results of teacher activities using the Problem Based Learning model in cycle I had an average score of 67.33% in the good category, while in cycle II the average score was 85% in the very good category. The results of student activities using the Problem Based Learning model in cycle I had an average score of 60.66% in the quite good category, while in cycle 2 the average score was 84.66% in the very good category. As well as the results of assessing students' reading comprehension skills in cycle 1, the completion percentage value was 61.29% in the less able category and the average value was 70.16%, while in cycle II the completion percentage value was 87.09% in the capable category and the average value was 87.09%. the average was 83.87%, so the increase from cycle I to cycle II was 25.8%. Based on the results of research data and analysis, it shows that using the Problem Based Learning model can improve students' reading comprehension skills in class IV A of SD Negeri 39, Pontianak City District.

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of subject-verb agreement in Prabowo Subianto’s interview as president-elect at the Qatar Economic Forum. The objective is to evaluate the accuracy of subject-verb agreement in his spoken English during the interview. Using qualitative content analysis, the transcript of the interview was examined to identify instances of correct and incorrect subject-verb agreement. The results indicate a consistent application of subject-verb agreement throughout the interview, with both singular and plural subjects correctly matched with their respective verbs. This consistency contributes to the clarity and professionalism of the communication. Despite the spontaneous nature of spoken language, which often allows for grammatical leniency, Subianto's use of subject-verb agreement was found to be highly accurate. These findings highlight the importance of grammatical precision in spoken English, especially in formal settings.
