Abstract

The Korean Look makeup trend has become a popular symbol of beauty in various countries, particularly in Asia, including Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the role of the Korean Look makeup trend as a symbol of modern beauty in the perceptions of PKK students. Korean makeup styles, which emphasize a natural and feminine impression, are now widely adopted as a form of self-expression. The research method used a descriptive quantitative approach with 50 PKK student respondents using a Likert scale questionnaire (1–5) covering five main perceptual aspects. The results showed that students had a positive perception of the Korean Look 5. The most dominant aspect was the influence of social media (78%), while suitability with Indonesian facial characteristics showed mixed responses. In conclusion, the Korean Look has become a symbol of modern beauty influenced by popular culture and social media, but still needs to be adapted to local characteristics.

Abstract

This article analyzes the effort of full humanization of women through the perspective of the Qur'an. The fundamental issue is the existence of patriarchal-biased interpretations of religious texts, which often legitimize the subordination of women, even though Islam essentially comes with the mission to elevate their status. The purpose of this study is to trace the basic principles of gender equality in the Qur'an and to examine the reconstructive efforts of understanding carried out by contemporary Muslim thinkers. The method used is a qualitative literature study by deeply analyzing primary literature (the Qur'an) and secondary sources (tafsir, books, and academic journals). The results show that the Qur'an lays the foundation of equality through the principle of creation from nafsin wāhidah (one soul), equality as servants and caliphs, as well as equality in deeds and rewards. Moreover, a hermeneutic rereading of gender-sensitive verses—such as leadership, inheritance, and polygamy—reveals a more contextual and just meaning. In conclusion, the full humanization of women is not a foreign agenda but rather an effort to return to the spirit of justice and egalitarianism inherent in the Qur'an, which has long been obscured by culturally biased interpretations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of learning Arts, Culture, and Crafts (SBdP) on the subject of woven artwork and analyze how these activities can develop students' creativity in elementary schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 4 Prambatan Kidul with a fifth-grade teacher and all fifth-grade students, totaling 25 people. This study serves to determine how SBdP learning develops the creativity of elementary school children. The results show that SBdP learning on woven artwork material is implemented through several stages, namely explaining basic concepts, introducing woven motifs, showing videos of the weaving process, and direct practice using paper materials. Students showed high enthusiasm, actively asked questions, and produced works with a variety of motifs and colors. Practice-based and visual learning helps students understand art concepts concretely which can foster creativity. Thus, SBdP learning on woven material can be an effective means to foster creativity, imagination, and fine motor skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

Parental involvement holds a vital position, particularly in fostering the social and emotional growth of young children. This situation arises because a number of parents have not yet fully recognized the significance of nurturing social and emotional aspects during early development. This research is designed to explore and portray the various roles undertaken by parents in supporting children’s social and emotional development. The study employs a qualitative research design, utilizing data collection methods such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that parents contribute substantially to early childhood social and emotional development by acting as educators, mentors, and facilitators.

Abstract

Literacy development is a strategic effort to improve the quality of human resources toward a more independent and competitive society. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Literacy Movement in Uluindano Village as a form of community-based literacy empowerment. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity is ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the literacy program takes place through the use of reading spaces and shared reading activities, which are mostly attended by children. Literacy development in the village is reflected in the increasing reading interest among children; however, adult participation remains limited. Major challenges include inadequate facilities, low digital literacy, the absence of local literacy policies at the village level, and the lack of reading materials relevant to adult age groups. This study concludes that strengthening literacy in Uluindano Village requires the establishment of local policy frameworks, improved literacy facilities, the provision of additional reading materials, and broader community involvement to ensure the sustainability of literacy programs.

Abstract

Learning activities in the fourth grade of SD Negeri Wonoplumbon 02 initially showed low independence and critical thinking because students tended to remain passive during lessons. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the travel route media through Project Based Learning and to examine its effectiveness in improving students’ learning independence and critical thinking skills. A mixed-methods approach was used through observation, interviews, and documentation. Students worked on a project to draw their travel route from home to school by observing their surroundings, determining directions, and presenting the final product. The results indicate that the project succeeded in increasing students’ participation, responsibility, curiosity, and confidence in expressing ideas. Learning achievement reached 80.29, with 14 students meeting the minimum mastery standard. It can be concluded that travel route media based on Project Based Learning is effective in improving learning independence and critical thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to map the development, thematic patterns, and conceptual relationships in research on education management, teacher performance, and curriculum evaluation in Indonesia using a systematic literature review approach. The study applied a PRISMA-based design to select relevant open-access journal articles from the Scopus database, resulting in twelve studies included for analysis. Data were analyzed through thematic and relational synthesis to identify topic distribution, inter-variable relationships, and research trajectories. The results show that Indonesian education literature concentrates on educational governance, teacher professionalism, and data-driven curriculum evaluation across contexts such as Islamic education, the Merdeka Curriculum, inclusive education, and disaster risk reduction. The most consistent relationship forms a systemic chain between management, curriculum evaluation, and teacher performance. Furthermore, the evolution of research indicates a shift from normative approaches toward performance-oriented, accountable, and evidence-based educational governance. The study concludes that education research in Indonesia, within the analyzed corpus, is moving toward a paradigm of education as a managed and continuously evaluated system, providing a structured map of research trends to support future studies and policy development.
