Abstract

Innovations and changes have been made to the Indonesian curriculum since 2013. These changes aim to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. The curriculum currently used to learn Indonesian is text-based. Several years later, the government launched the School Literacy Movement (GLS) to realize the vision and mission so that people can adapt to developments in information and technology by updating them in the National Literacy Movement (GLN). The purpose of this study was to find out the literacy activities carried out in schools as well as see the responses from students after completing literacy activities. This study recommends handling literacy as an innovation in curriculum development in schools. This research is a descriptive study using structured interview techniques and questionnaire collection techniques using interview guidelines and questionnaires as working tools. Interviews were conducted with five Indonesian teachers in West Sumatra and 30 students were asked to answer a questionnaire. The results of the study show that in practice literacy is not carried out by the rules so literacy goals are not achieved properly. In practice, curriculum and literacy appear as two different things and their implementation is inconsistent. Learning activities are always related to literacy activities. Particularly in language learning, literacy activities in reading and writing are very important things to be carried out by each component of the school.

Abstract

During the Indonesian struggle, there was the slogan "independence or death", then in the current era of government the slogans "work, work, work" and "Advanced Indonesia" appeared. In the Minangkabau indigenous people, the slogan "adat basandi sara`, sara` basandi kitabullah" also appeared. In the Madrasah there is the slogan independent Madrasah with achievements. If we look closely at it, we will encounter very many slogans somewhere in both communities and institutions, both formal and informal. Almost all create slogans for special purposes, all of which usually contain an invitation to do or not to do, think or not to think about, or even just as an uplifting for a community, institution, or even a nation for a common goal. This slogan is a stimulant that is designed systematically and in the context of Madrasah education to break attitudes that do not support change such as skeptic, lazy, uncreative, resigned, less innovative and others to be replaced with creative, innovative, diligent, implicit and other actions that support changes in various aspects of education in Madrasah. All the actions based on the slogan of change will eventually be able to pave the way to realize the expected goal in the slogan of education in Madrasah, namely "Madrasah Mandiri Berprestasi". There is no achievement, there is independence if the Madrasah component does not carry out actions that support that direction, one of which is never stagnant or silent, keep moving and make changes towards achievement and independence.

Abstract

Behavioristic learning theory and its influence on learning and the learning process are discussed in this article. According to behavioristic theory, learning results in behavior modification. Behavioristic learning theories are hypotheses about how people learn, and they argue that rewards and reinforcement play a role in learning. According to this belief, the behavior will stop if it receives punishment. The expression "stimulus-response" is used in behavioristic learning theory to describe how a stimulus, or a stimulus in the form of rewards, reinforcement, and punishment, will produce a reaction. The behavior may persist or cease in response. This behavioristic hypothesis is studied by psychologists who view behavior change as evidence of learning. Despite receiving a lot of support and criticism, the behavioristic theory still has an impact on the teaching strategies used during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The issue of transfer of learning that emerges in the context of education cannot be separated from the problem of remembering and forgetting in learning. Teachers must genuinely anticipate these issues. Each student has unique traits, and they are all unique both physically and psychologically. The goal of this study is to investigate memory, forgetting, and transfer issues in the learning and learning process. It is implied that a teacher shouldn't apply a generalization to all students. A teacher needs to know how to relate to and comprehend his students. However, in practice, teachers have not given this issue their full focus in classrooms. Because teachers play such a crucial role in the entire teaching and learning process, improving the quality of teachers in the teaching and learning process is one of the efforts being made to improve the quality of education. Thus, the topics of memory, forgetting, and learning transfer will be covered in this study.
