Abstract

This research is backed by the problem of frequent misunderstandings between students and teachers. The misunderstanding occurs because students are less able to understand the intent and purpose that the teacher delivered. The purpose and objectives of the teacher cannot be well received by the students because of the form and strategy used by the teacher less according to the situation and condition when said. This research was conducted to explain the follow-up and strategy to speak Indonesian teachers in the learning process in SMP Negeri 2 Kinali. This type of research is a qualitative study with a descriptive method. Data collection is conducted through observation and recording of two Indonesian teachers who teach in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Kinali. The research Data is analyzed qualitatively based on the speech theory. The results of this study are as follows. First, the type of follow-up directive found was (1) to ask, (2) to have, (3) Beg, and (4) advise. The Act of Directive, which is dominant by Indonesian teachers, is that the teacher and the least used by the teachers is a follow-up directive. Secondly, the said strategy used to realize the follow-up directive in the learning process in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Kinali is (1) The strategy is frankly without further ado, (2) The strategy is frankly with positive civility, (3) The strategy is straightforward with a negative silence, and (4) a vague strategy. The strategy says frankly without the dominant unpleasantness teachers used in the learning process on the kind of follow-up said.

Abstract

Based on the observation that have done at SMK Negeri 2 Padang, there are some problems on implementation of e-learning based Digital Simulation learning. One of which had never done an evaluation on implementation of e-learning based Simulasi Digital learning. This study aimed to evaluate the component of context, input, process, and product on implementation of e-learning based Digital Simulation learning at SMK Negeri 2 Padang. This research was an evaluation study with CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The method was used a mixed method by sequential explanatory. Quantitative data have been collected by quesionner and analyzed with descriptive analysis using Achievement Level Respondents (TPR). Qualitative data have been collected by interviewed and observated, and analyzed with data reduction, data display, and make decisions/verification. The result of this reasearch showed that the component of the context, input, process, and product on implementation of learning based Digital Simulation learning at SMK Negeri 2 Padang was at enought category. The component of process and product should be improved to make the implementation of e-learning based Simulasi Digital learning to be more optimal. The recommended is the implementation of e-learning based Digital Simulation learning can proceed with the improvement at each of its components.

Abstract

This study aims to produce effectiveness from the development of learning tools through the concept of algebraic forms using Cognitive Conflict-Based Learning (PbKK) models for mathematical problem-solving abilities that are implemented in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Worksheet (LKPD) that are valid and practical. The method used is the Plomp design research model which consists of three phases, namely the preliminary research phase, the development phase (development or prototyping phase) and the assessment phase. The subjects of the study were the seventh grade students of junior high school. Data collection techniques used was posttest tests from two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data analysis techniques are using the Independent-Sample T Test. The analysis shows that p-value = 0.034 <0.05 means that there are significant differences between the two classes. So, the development of Cognitive Conflict-based learning tools has a positive impact on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in algebraic form material.

Abstract

This research is based on science and technology encourage the creation of new discoveries in the field of technology, one example of technological findings, namely smartphone. Based on the development of these technologies, the researcher is interesting to conduct a social behavior study of online game enthusiasts in the South Solok 1 High School environment. The theory used in this research is the Differential Association Theory. The results of this study revealed thatstudents are fans of online games in the school environment because students are not cared for in their family environment, are in the wrong environment, and have free habits that come from outside the school environment.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the effect of TAD teaching strategy on students’ writing ability at first grade of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. The design of the research is quasi experimental research with factorial design 2x2. The samples were X IPS 1 as experimental class and X IPS 3 as control class. The samples were selected by using cluster random sampling. The instruments were writing test of recount text. These instruments were tried out first to another class which had similar capabilities to both experiment and control class. The data were analyzed by using T-test. The result of this research shows that TAD teaching strategy produces higher result on students’ writing ability of recount text compared to Small Group Discussion.

Abstract

The research aims to study the effect of using concept map through cooperative learning Think Pair Share (TPS) on th learning outcomes on eleventh grade science students of SMAN 1 Dua Koto Pasaman in terms of students’ initial knowledge. This was a quasy experiment. Sample are choose using cluster random sampling techniques. Data are analyzed using t-test. Based on the average value of student learning outcomes in the experiment group, 75% or 27 students have reached the minimum completeness criteria. The calculation of the hypothesis tcount (3.042) > ttable (1.995), it is means Ho rejected and H1 is received. It can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students taught using concept map through cooperative learning TPS signicantly different from learning outcomes of students taught with concept maps through conventional learning. The conclusion of this study are there is an effect of the use of concept map in cooperative learning Think Pair Share (TPS) on the learning outcomes on eleventh grade science student in SMAN 1 Dua Koto Pasaman.

Abstract

This study aimed at investigating need of task-based handouts for learning academic writing for the fourth semester in STIBA Persada Bunda Pekanbaru. To achieve the aim, the researcher distributed questionnaire and conducted interview. The data of this research were two, qualitative and quantitave data. Qualitative data was analyzed descriptively, while quantitative data was analyzed by using formula and likert scale. The result showed that provided material of academic writing did not fullfil the learners’ need of material. The provided material presented the material of academic writing in complicated explanation, while the learners need the material in simple and understandable presentation. Thus, the analysis result showed that task-based handouts was needed by learners.
